Love this band! Only discovered them a number of weeks ago. However, speaking of “cultural appropriation” as the gentleman who introduced them mentioned: let us not forget to know the great debt this music holds to the black people who were fundamental to it. Especially important in these days of “BLM” awareness. Before them St. Louis music was probably like most elsewhere: Appalachian fiddle music, which I love but didn’t have “that swing” we love about Pokey, et all....
My wife Jill and i saw Pokey and his band at the Wildwood Springs Lodge in Steelville Missouri. Extraordinary Musicians!!
Love his music!
Lucky audience so lucky wish i was there
