Welcome to the club. I only found him 4ish months ago. I went to show my buddy that likes obscure artists only for him to tell me he's been listening to Pokey for several years. I could have smacked him for not sharing but I guess he didn't think I would like this. Cheers!
@@joem7572 Yeah, I only have a small handful of people who I consider friends, and we discuss movies, books, and music on a weekly or so basis. If any of them kept Pokey, Coulter Wall, Tyler Childress or Kassi Valazza from me to themselves. I'm sure I would do something I would regret. Well...maybe they would regret it more. But who knows? 😜🍺
@@70Slinger I've got two friends and we do the same, our other friends are only topically interested. That is why I was gob-smacked when he said he had been listening to Pokey for years. @@joem7572 Absolutely, thank you for the mentions. I have almost nothing but time on my hands so I will check them out. I would recommend "Johnny Dear" by Kassi but only if you are in a good disposition. It's depressing but a damn good song. Her voice and the lead guitar reminds me of Twin Peaks or almost anything from David Lynch. Take Care, Cheers.🍺👍
JoPop Drouse - I hear that, JoPop, and could not agree more. It is my strong suspicion that Leon Redbone never made it to heaven. Instead, his spirit done came to rest inside young LaFarge. It's down right spooky, aye?
No one should judge, I refuse to play records at this time as I have three little sets of hands that would love to scratch or break them. CDs play better in my truck too.
i like this but i cant help but feel its an act. like they are trying to hard to look like they are out of the 50s. im referring to the singer, his hair cut, his fashion, and even singing out of the side of his mouth.
I thought " something in the water " was my favorite song, but i just heard " what the rain will bring". new favorite! love this man.
He's certainly one handsome guy. Too. Brings a lot with his vocals.
Me too.
If you like this, listen to "I want someone to fuck me up" you're gonna love it!!
Pokey came here via time machine from 1920. So good!
OK hanging BarcelonaBarcelona
I just love this guys music...the musicians are absolutely fantastic, so much feeling in Pokey's voice.
Awesome
Love the old timey sound with a iPhone in his pocket. Great song.
Quite terrific!
When Pokey and his band walk into the room...they create a sensation.
Why in the world did this guy and his band just now showed up on my you tube channel 7 years after this video? I'm gobsmacked.

I've just found Pokey and his band too, and now I can't stop listening to them. They're brilliant!

OMG Huge fan of both Maiden and Pokey LaFarge....up the irons!
Maiden is my all time favorite band...also a big fan of Pokey and his great band! Just goes to show good music is good music no matter what genre
Amazing !
CROOOONIN
Saw them live at WOMADelaide - 90 minutes of pure entertainment!
Good stuff!
smooth as
This is peak Pokey
I really like this. Reminiscent of Mississippi Basin with a bit of Body and Soul. A great performer.
heard pokey for the first time yesterday...all the cds are on their way...thats right...cds...dont judge me...
As long as it makes happy noise....who cares

Come back to Australia soon! What about the National Folk Festival in Canberra in Easter?
classy!
They don't need to play any Maiden, we already know: Pokey is metal.
It's raining here today memorial day Monday fort Worth Texas 20/20
La Wallonie vous adore...
First I've seen of them...Jesus Christ he looks like 1933. wonderful
Nice Maiden cover!
I want Pokey in MAFIA III soundtrack!
😌
please check out THEGROUNDWILLSHAKE - first single - "miss serene" - we cant wait to see pokey and the band in Dublin in November
Who is the clarinetist? Wow. She's terrific.
That is the Magnificent Chloe Feoranzo.
What is the thing they play at the end ? It's an unusual combination of notes . Help please
what Iron maiden song is that at the very end?
"Hallowed Be Thy Name"
The guitar players haircut is jazz!
Chloe looks like a old time school teacher!
Yep, this is the shit!
Is that a tattoo peeking out from under Pokey's left sleeve?
Actually, the tobacco plug under his lip was more attractive.
Was this song written by him?
it's drizzlin'
Silk...maybe smoother....
Is that Andrew Garfield playing trumpet? Nah...
There is 1 person with no musical taste! Probably a Beiber fan.

follow Pokey some more, and you realise its just Pokey. See him live, he is the best!!
Fuck, you mean it’s not 1929?
Pokey's a time traveler.
almost every musician gets into character. when he is playing he is Pokey Lafarge not who he was born as.
Nope. Same home town. Met him many, many times....he is exactly as he seems. He is who he is and he's not playing a character
