- Hi everybody! I hope you are all doing great. In today's video I will be taking you along with me to the Navajo Reservation (in New Mexico), where I spend Christmas weekend with my family. It was so much fun being back home and being with family. I hope you enjoy.

REGARDING THE DOGS IN THIS VIDEO: The dogs on the Rez are not tied up, they aren’t restricted to only a backyard. Almost all dogs on the Rez are outside dogs. Most of them are free to roam around. They most likely belong to someone. The ones at the stores may be strays, I’m not sure. But just know that that is just how dogs on the Rez are, they like to chase cars and roam around. 😄 Hope that reduces the comments about the dogs lol

Hahaha! I knew what you meant. I'm glad it didn't start a tyraid 😁I always like seeing the horses roam around. When I was a kid you could just hop on and go wherever and hop off.

When your mom was making fry bread it made me cry. I haven’t been back home in forever. I miss my moms cooking and humor. I want to make a trip back to the Rez now haha! Always love your videos keep it up!

Beautiful video. We grew up in Gallup and Zuni area. Really get the muddy roads and when the school bus could not make it down out road it made for a long cold walk.

It's okay Sierra if you haven't vlog as much on the rez, I totally understand how busy it get when u are with the family. Beautiful rez. The one that made me squeal is the muddy road lol. I'm native too, and my brothers all married Navajo girls so I grew up around alot of navajos. They don't care much for my constant sheep jokes though LOL... Nice video btw !👌

@@stephaniemanzanares7821 yes, we have lots of beautiful native animals here, and it has affected them so badly. Where I live there are usually lots of birds making lots of wonderful noise. It's all strangely quiet right now. I'm hoping the situation will change soon 🌱

Nice video those tamales and fry bread look delicious. I enjoyed this. Tip from an Ohio native, when driving down a muddy road try to avoid the deep tracks everyone else has made or you really will get stuck. It's best to make your own tracks. If you can. :)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,,Oh wow that snow scenery was what I loved "Beautiful " out here on Gila River Reservation most of the roads are paved .We used to drive through roads like that 30 years ago,There are still a few unpaved roads .. Frybread is good any time whether its breakfast, lunch or supper.. Thanks for taking us home with you love vlogs with family times..

I've met Tony a few times. We ate at Dion's pizza and Thanksgiving together. He's so funny. At first it was weird bcuz he was a white man with a rez accent and stories. I wanted him as a guest speaker for our graduation ceremony but he and his wife were leaving out of the area then. Most blessed to have got to know him... later in life I sold his books. Now I live near the Library named after him. Weird how life happens.

It’s crazy, I just somehow came across your channel. I’m also from Gallup, I was born and raised there until I turned 27. I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. I go back home to Gallup as much as I can cause the rest of my family is still there. It’s cool to see Gallup in someone’s vlogs.

🇨🇦 I'm a first nation from a rez in Canada, we about 2 ft snow and -34C (-29 F), our road are gravel too but smooth bc there're frozen. lol
It's a shame that our heards of sheep are limited to 30 some heads... I remember when my grandparents had over 500 sheep and goats 30 years ago....
When I go to the rez, it's never a vacation. I hope to meet up with u in March for State games. Newcomb gonna make it to state and I hope ur ae to make it back out to Abq. Hopefully I won't have to leave to Shiprock that weekend. My uncle calls me up to do projects on the farm.
The dog is a Heeler mix... They have eyes like that and their name says what they do...bring you to heel. That's why it was working you ...the same way it would sheep goats or cattle... Hawhahaha Love your videos. I miss living on the rez too btw
Great vlog, Sierra! Family time, first, then vLogging. Plus, needed rest. The drive up to the Rez, then to ABQ, then back to Metro PHX is very tiring. You showed us the pretty views and not the traffic. So, you did just fine and thank you. No need to apologize. Great job on the muddy road adventure. In addition to sand or cat litter, scraps of old carpet can help, too. Keep some in the trunk. Congratulations to your nephew and his team! 👏🏼

I felt that when you almost got stuck in the mud. We have a dirt road coming up to our house and when it rains the road gets super muddy.

The trick to that muddy road is to drive with 2 wheels on the bushes slow. And you wont get stuck.
