My opponents in my school think that a stalemate is a win for them just because they have more material than me, and I have to keep telling them that stalemate is a draw, but they still think it’s a win bruh.
besides 50-move and threefold repetition, there's also 75-move and fivefold repetition rule, if an arbiter notices either the position is reached 5 times, or if the previous 75 moves are not pawn move or capture for both sides, the arbiter should announce a draw
Why do you need to start with a handshake? All of my games (even in tournaments) I did not start with a handshake. Is it because they don't want you to be furious about your opponent? or is it just good sportsmenship?
@@-S1lverTray its only applicable for USCF not for Fide or any other governing chess bodies. if this happens in some other chess body rules except uscf, the position is restored again.
@@rappolop i think the decision was reversed. in normal interpretation of the fide rules, it depends on the time controls. if the first wrong move losses, the player that made the wrong move losses. if you have multiple chances, than the the last know situation before the illegal move is (should be) used. for childrens rapid locally we just use the last know situation before, or just make the last move back, and than the other person has to make a move, that makes the situation legal (like moving out of check, even if the check is not from the same move)

You can’t walk to a check, so it’s a draw.

Imagine choosing to promote your pawn to a pawn

I'm always happy when I see your Channel 1:58
0:53 was later reversed, pretty sure

SIGMA KING: - "Well, dear pawn, just remember: even the king started as pawn, but it tooks lot of promotion to get there 😎😂

these are well known rules everybody knows.
From thumbnail:
I know 1st 2nd and 5th one rest WHAT ARE THEY
Sorry but Who ever made the first illegal move loses
What they meant to say is that the person who made the illegal can claim a win if their opponent does not notice but it is still an exploitable rule.
