The End of the Line - Killing Bluefin Tuna

- The End of the Line is a powerful film about one of the world's most disturbing problems - over-fishing. Advances in fishing technology mean whole species of wild fish are under threat and the most important stocks we eat are predicted to be in a state of collapse by 2050.
The film points the finger at those most to blame, including celebrity chefs, and shows what we can do about it. This is not just a film, it is also a campaign - for sustainable consumption of fish, for marine protected areas to allow the sea to recover, and for a new ethic of responsible fishing.

The worst part of it, is that they killed them while they are traveling to realase the eggs, so this is a crime, they don´t let them reproduce, it is a shame cause it is taking the tuna to extinction. Later do not cry that we don´t have fish.
i gave up eating fish a long time ago when I realized what was going on.
But that doesn't stop Asia one bit.
My decisions are minuscule compared to countries who eat fish every day.
This is the Matanza method of Tuna fishing. It is an ancient and sustainable method. It looks very gruesome because of the up close and personal manner in which the fish are caught and slaughtered...however this is because the fish are caught and killed immediately in the water or immediately on-board the boat. This method is considered a highly sustainable fishing method which has been going on for centuries. @ Atunarro, this IS the Almadraba (different name for same technique). Fisheries Bio.
The only way to stop this is allow just traditional fishing and prohibit comercial overfishing. Is demostrated that the traditional fishing techniques( like the almadraba) dont affect bluefin tuna, why? because they have been used for hundreds of years without been harmful for the tuna.
agreed
It's alright to eat fish dude, just not the Bluefin tuna because they are too impressive and intelligent to eat.
They are warm blooded so they're very powerful and very smart. The oxygen rich blood gives them the same conditions as us, even the same flesh color, bluefin are no ordinary fish.
They feel pain greatly, we should spare them from such slaughters.
top the japanese from buying them... problem solved...
