Hey, I just found your video and am so excited to learn more about Seaham. We are coming in May and are going to hunt for seaglass- I heard you mention a place for hot chocolate near the marina, do you have any other favorite places to eat? We are staying in town at No. 16 so I think we will be close to a lot of fun places to see . Any thing I must bring with me to hunt successfully at Seaham? Thank you for any advice you can give me. Hope to see you on the beach!
Hi, Melissa! We just got back from Seaham and stayed at No. 16! We had fun on Blast Beach and on the main beach in Seaham. Just bring your eagle eyes to spot the glass amidst all the colorful rocks!
Amazing, my great x4 grandmother is from Tynemouth and came to Canada in 1870's so my heart is in the north of England ♥️🧜♀️ Lovely pieces, going there is definitely on my bucket list! Question for you, did Vera shoot any of the tv show in that area?
Hi Tamara How cool you traced your ancestors to the area. Vera did shoot at least one episode very close to Seaham. Most Vera episodes were shot a little North of Tynemouth in the county of Northumberland. My claim to fame is I know a couple of the extras in that show ;) Let me know if you visit Seaham so I can say hello in person.
Thanks for posting the video. We’re visiting Seaham in July, travelling up from the Midlands. I’ve heard the best beach for seaglass is North/Seaham Hall beach. Would you agree?
We have just recently started looking and I must say you will find loads of little plain ones. In 3 days of looking we have found a few multi colored ones but they are a bit harder to find.
Lucky you Paula, to have found such unique pieces of sea glass. Thanks.
Definitely lucky Cynthia. Thank you for watching :)

Seaham was all farmers before the pits where opened. Parts of St Marys church is 1000 years old.

Check out recommendations from lots of beachcombers at www.beachcombingmagazine.com/blogs/news/bucket-list-destination-seaham. Happy hunting!
Thank you.
We can live in hope, as we’ll probably only be visiting Seaham once.🙂
If I spend an hour looking will I be in for a chance of finding sea glass or is it very rare.
Seaham is a pretty special beach for sure!
