I was researching for like 1 month on internet for this monitor watched many reviews many to know this monitor support 2k 120hz on ps5 or not and your video confirmed it for me this subject and i am gonna buy this monitor without a doubt.
thank you good man
I’m glad you got this video. Thank you for watching! Trust me this is the best monitor looks amazing and smooth
Did your monitor arrive and does it support 2K 120 FPS on PS5 ?
@@user-fg2rb8oe9q This monitor supports 2k 120 fps
@@Noahmurphy518Thank you, then I will buy it. I am afraid that it does not support it, as they said on their official website
@@user-fg2rb8oe9q i was confused too for people saying about this monitor that don't support 2k 120 hz like what official website said about it but i took my chances and bought monitor and trust me it's best you can get for monitor at this range price and i can confirm that it supports 2k 120 hz
Hey man, nice video and thank you for it. Not sure if Sony fixed it but i remember that the VRR could only work when HDR is off (and the opposite). Hope this helps.
You Welcome. Nope I tried that, but it didn't work.
Maybe VRR only is for Display Port connection and not available through HDMI ?
@@lorantkamen3198 There’s a possibility but in that case it would work in PC only
Only works if the monitor has hdmi 2.1 that monitor only has a 2.0 hdmi so you will always have 120hz but not go down will always be at 120hz
@@Noahmurphy518VRR only works on Ps5 if you have a HDMI 2.1 port on your monitor, but on Xbox it is not needed
When you went behind the monitor and brought your the settings up it said it was 60hz. That may have been the mode you had enabled. Sometimes they can run 120 when the resolution is down to 1080. The vrr may require that for some reason.
I tried it but unfortunately didn’t work
It was most likely at 60 because you don’t get 120hz on the ps5 until you load into a game that supports 120hz
@@memburz yeah and only on those games which support 120hz
I use this monitor with a ps5 and I needed a video like this! W
Appreciate it ♥️
Do you recommend it for PlayStation 5?
@@leurycruz4520 I use this with my ps5 and its great! There's different visual settings, custom crosshairs, shadow boosters and more! Definitely a cop
for VRR the monitor needs to have a hdmi 2.1 for ps5, this monitor is 2.0
Yeah. I found out later after posting this video.
@@Noahmurphy518does it have any stutter because it doesnt have VRR?
Hi, I just got this monitor for my sons gaming pc but HDR is greyed and I’m using a display port cable. Any help would be appreciated. TIA
Hello man! Very good video really appreciate it. I just ordered and I just wondered how you like it after 8 months? Is it still good? :)
Thanks. Oh yes still loving till this day
hi noah it doesnt support 1440 irts a 4k monitor just change it to 2160p and everything will work fine
Some more questions…how do you change from racing mode to scenery mode? And what mode do you think is the best for playing games like tlou, gow ragnarok…
Also I have seen people changing the colors and calibrating all that stuff, but I can’t, is it posible to do it?
In order to change the mode, you will have to connect your monitor to your laptop or pc. Once you do that your options will automatically become available. Change to scenery mode as it’s one of the best mode for gaming. I’m playing Gow on this and it’s amazing
Yes, you can change the colours too just connect to you laptop/pc
@@Noahmurphy518what cable do I need for connecting the monitor to my Mac?
@@23impresion This monitor has 1 display port and 2 HDMI ports. If your Mac supports any of these then you are good to go, otherwise you can always use the converter.
Do you connect it to the ps5 using the hdmi or the display port? What would you recommend to get the 2k 120 fps?
I used HDMI for PS5. Ps5 doesn’t support display port. Well it depends on you
If you are looking all one on budget which includes 170hz smooth gameplay, 2k graphics, HDR and VRR. Then this is the best
Honestly I downgraded from my 4k tv to this monitor and I am totally satisfied with it
@@Noahmurphy518hey! Not quite understanding your comment reply. So just looking for clarification. Is there a way to get more than 120hz? I see you mentioned 170hz. Does using the ps5 hdmi cord give the 170hz or do I need to do something different?
@@zzisreal Well if you are trying to get 170HZ on PC then I believe you can use any hdmi but for the PS5 Your limit is only 120hz since PS5 supports 120hz only
Try turning off hdr and vrr should work
Why does it keep saying 60Hz when you chek the menu on the monitor? It seem like i cant get it to 120 and i cant put HDR too it says the tv doesnt support it, thanks
And does the HDMI cable that come with the monitor is 1.4 or 2.0? Thanks
The vg27aq3a is better and roughly the same price. New faster panel with native 180hz support. The upgraded vg27aqL3a is even better
vg27aq3a only for pc gamer
hi im wondering the VG27AQ3A support 2160p too? considering buy which monitor for my ps5
Checkout my latest video! I have explained everything in detail
Is it possible to play at 2160p and 120 fps on this screen?
Yeah it is. But this monitor supports 1440p. The 2160p option is available because before ps5 didn’t support 1440p it was just 2160p for 1440p monitors. But still you can use 2160p with 120hz
Brother how’s the brightness and HDR?
They are amazing
@@Noahmurphy518 Brother one more question
Which monitor would you suggest this or ASUS TUF Vg27AQ3A
Both have same specifications
@@PUBG830 according to my research 3A has a bit more features. It’s totally upto you which one you want as I don’t really see much difference compared to 1A
Does this monitor support Auto Low Latency Mode for PS5?
Did you get the answer yet?
@@heroeszx I tried looking everywhere online I cannot find an answer. I will research some more and I will let you know.
@@Popseohdefinitely as you can see from the video (automatic)
@@xNNefyes exactly it’s automatic, even if I turn it off nothing changes on the screen or gives a notification
the monitor is 2 years old is it still relevant and one of the best budget monitors?
It will stay relevant until ps6 comes out
That's why it's one of the best monitors... Its price has dropped and you can get good discounts
Hello guys
I got an Asus Tuf F15 laptop some time ago. (rtx 4060 and core i7 12700h with 1080p screen). Normally, in the settings section, my resolution goes up to 1080p (of course, I can change it to 4k with DSR). Today I got an asus tuf vg27aq1a monitor (2k 170hz), now when I go to the resolution section, without activating dsr, I can still choose 4k!! with the difference that in this case it goes up to 60hz. I wanted to know what's going on? Is this real 4k or has it been upscaled? should i use it?
When i switch to 4k , even my monitor says it is 4k 60hz( when i use the joystick thing in back of it)
Unfortunately it just shows 4k but in reality it’s displaying 2K
i am going to buy this monitor because of HDR for my ps5. please confirm its hdr is good? also for ps5 does it support 120hz at 1440p?
Hi! Yes HDR is good like I would give 9/10 and yes it does support 120hz at 1440p
does it have a lot of stuttering since it doesnt support VRR?
Not really. I faced it once only in Cyberpunk for like a second
Did you find solution for VRR?
It’s available through display port
You can play in 1440p 120hz with this monitor please ?
Yeah, you can! for PS5 it depends on the game like not every game run on 120hz. For example, Spider-Man 2 can run on 120hz 1440p on this monitor.
@@Noahmurphy518thanks
Can I plug in a hdmi 2.1 so I can play 4k 120hz?
This monitor supports HDMI 2.0 only.
I have plugged in HDMI 2.1 and still have access to 2160p resolution, but I don't know how.
vrr needs 2.1 on ps5@@Noahmurphy518
What's the difference with VG27AQ3A?
vg27aq3a only for pc gamer
Do you know if Fortnite support 1440p 120hz?
Yup it does
120 and 2k for ps5?
Yup it supports
For whatever reason the hdr made the screen look washed out for me. I have the same monitor
Oh. It did for me but just in GTA
@@Noahmurphy518 ahhh gotcha. Thanks man
Does it support 120 FPS in 2K resolution PS5 ?
Yes it does!
Thanks again ❤
How is the ghosting on this monitor ?
Almost completely gone
@@piozappitelli7680 Hell yeah i got in the end. Worth every penny this thing.
The hdr in the monitor is good ?
Yeah! It’s amazing. The colours are vibrant, which makes the game look more realistic
@@Noahmurphy518 Is it compatible with Xbox Series S? I want 2k 120fps
@@M0dyyYeah it is! My sister has series S and we tried to play Fortnite in it, all I am gonna say is it was smooth like butter
Full hd and 120fps work with this monitor?
Yes it works with 1440p 120hz together. But only for the games that supports them like cod, Spider-Man etc
@@Noahmurphy518 does it maintain 120 fps at 1440p even on warzone?
The hdmi cable is only capable of 120 hz. The display port cable can output up to 240hz up to 360hz up to 540hz, But you need a Pc to do this, it won't work with Play Station !
ok we know that and you want 540hz on 144hz monitor😮
Yes that’s right @munyos1
Is it too big like you need to move your head to see?
Nope the size average
@@Noahmurphy518 thanks man I’m between 24inch 1440p and this monitor do you think this monitor and it size is better?
Is it ips or va
IPS
Hi is VRR PS5?
Only monitors with hdmi 2.1 support vrr on ps5 even the 2k monitors
Is the port hdmi 1.4?
Its 2.0
No it’s hdmi 2.0
Is there speakers on it
Yup it’s installed in it. The quality is quite nice I’d rate 8/10 speakers quality
This might be too much to ask but could you do a speaker test video? The reason I'm asking is because I got the VG27AQA1A which had muffled sound and issues with the monitor itself so I've requested a refund and am looking into getting the one you are covering here - VG27AQ1A.
Thank you in advance and sorry to bother.
@@Noahmurphy518I just bought my ps5 and I would like to know if this monitor is a good option for 240 euros. Would I need a speaker for it or the monitor has got audio itself? Is just connecting the ps5 to the monitor and it will run or I need a computer as well? And last question, could I connect also my switch? Big thanks
@@23impresion First Congratulations on your PS5! Wishing you all the best. Well I would say for budget monitor this is one of the best, I did a lot of research before buying and this was the one which seemed to be good for a decent price. It works perfect with PS5 and has speaker built in just plug in your ps5 hdmi to the monitor and you have nothing else to do.
I never owned a switch but if it has hdmi then it will work on this monitor just like tv
@@Noahmurphy518thanks a lot mate, I bought it on Amazon for 220. This videos was the main reason I bought it. Thank u a lot for your work.
Still worth it?
For a budget monitor. It is the best
Is he good for ps 4 pro?
i think yes
not sure😅
Yes it is definitely
Not Supposed Vrr ps5 ???!!
Unfortunately no
@@Noahmurphy518please try turning off hdr and enable vrr
Btw ur on 60hz not 120hz
When you are on ps5 Home Screen it works only on 60hz but once you turn on the game that supports 120hz then it changes from 60 to 120
This monitor has awful smearing. The response time is ass. Motion is so blurry, even at 120hz with overdrive on.
Isn't the one with smearing the VG27AQA1A its va panal , this is IPS or does this version have ghosting too
Maybe you got a damage model. I haven’t faced anything and it’s working perfectly
