Same dose it leave a bit a of stuff in your hair like thin dandruff on ur hair ik I don’t have dandruff because only this product dose it to me but it is not very noticeable unless ur close
I use the Got2Be textured clay and it works really well for me. My hair is dark brown (almost black) and thick. When using the clay, I rub a pea size amount of product into my hands and lightly rub it into my hair with circular motions, instead of running it though my hair like you would with something less thick. Once the product has settled for around 10 seconds, my hair is REALLY thick, and then I am able to perfectly style my hair and it holds all day, even on a really windy day! I also use the Hanz De Fuko Claymation when my hair is damp, i then let it dry and the product helps to allow my hair to dry naturally, whilst keeping it in the direction I want to my hair to go.
I'm a girl using this and wow ya know the have the toni&guy thing laying around, it smelt nice (so by instincts I thought it would do) and it works pretty well, I don't have the flyaway ends and it holds everything in place, even if the wind is coming. It holds your hair and still makes it look natural too. (Just for those rude jerks that might read this comment and are petty enough to say crap, I have short hair, and not to forget that female products are expensive). Anyways, thank you for the review of the product, now I know that it's safe to use on my head too :) it's pretty cool, plus I can apply it after my soccer or Rugby games :D .
I've used the VO5 extreme style thicken up Lifting paste and I found that was really got a creating a matt finish when you applied it in wet hair and blow dried it through. And also got my Label M products on Black Friday and I'm loving them. THEY ARE SOO GOOD. I love the fold you get from it and the Matt finish. Plus they smell amazing
+James Welsh Hi james welsh all products you try look great and work great but theres are strong hair product which is VO5 rework putty.Trust me try its great you will love it.
My absolute favorite hair clays are Sebastian Professional Craft Clay because its the perfect texture of a matte clay and its unscented so you can get the scent from hairspray or a cologne. My next favorite is the Wella Texture Touch. It has a lighter fragrance but it definitely has that effect that if you use too much, your hair ends up feeling heavy and is segments itself into greasy clumps. So you most definitely have to experiment and see how much you really will need. I absolutly love the smell of Moroccanoil products, but their matte paste is anything but exceptional. Listening to you rdescription about the Schwarzkopf products was precisely how I feel about the Moroccanoil paste. It dries so quickly and then its very difficult to run your fingers through your hair. Good to know about Tony & Guy and L'Oreal!
I like to use Got2Be matt paste on my hair being wet. It distributes well, then Im drying my hair and use a little bit of hair spray to keep everything on fleek (I'm living in a preety windy area). It doesn't work when my hair is dry, everything stays on my hands, it only hurts when I try to pull some strands of hair
I use the Got2B Beach boy and i love it! and since i live in Ireland, it rains in here alot so i needed a waterproof product and the beach boy is just perfect for me.
I use Pink Gatsby on my hair, I've got straight and stubborn chinese hair so once Ive washed and towel dried my hair the Gatsby works reasonably well with a kind of pushed back textured spike style. But according to Gatsby thats the kind of style which Pink "flavour" works best for. My hair is quite stubborn so I do have to rework my hair throughout the day and it does leave sticky residue but I'm too lazy to find an alternative (if you can recommend an alternative thatll work with straight stubborn chinese hair I'll be forever grateful!) xD I also noticed the Got2Be similarities...I might try out the Orange on that you had to see if it'll work with my hair because at the moment I'm getting my friend to buy 2/3 Gatsby's everytime she goes back to Hongkong!
Hey, I've tried the Got2b Glued spiking wax, man I vouch for the 'it dries too fast' my hair is kinda long and I can't style it fast enough ffs. The spray is nice from them though.
Quick question... using Gel as a pre-styler - does it matter if the Gel has a strong hold ? I feel that Gel with light hold works better but not sure as I'll be blow drying it after I apply Gel.. Also any other budget alternatives for heat protection ? (other than Gel)
that's a good tip. I was not using any heat protection and now my hair is little damaged compared to before so, was thinking of using some heat protection but as they were expensive I looked up for an alternative and got to know about using Gel. bdw any hair masks you'd suggest for dry hair ? (and my hair has become thin, couldn't work out without blow drying it :( )
Hey James what cheap product can you suggest for fine/thin hair that gives a really good hold, when I use strong hold products such as Uppercut Matt Clay etc it just weights down my hair :/
i came here for the got2b, but a off topic question? did you strech your ears? i have streched mine to 24 mm and they look similar to yours.. sorry if i'm wrong..
I put products in my hair everyday and my hair gets super greasy if I don't wash it. So I have washed my hair everyday for the last two years. Not knowing it was damaging my hair. What do I do?
+Joshua Thompson I started noticing some differences in my hair texture after washing out the hair products. So I started using Moroccan oil in my hair, and then washing it out. So far this has helped a lot. That might just be my hair, because my hair is really thin, but maybe it will work for you. :)
if ur hair is super oily then it's fine to wash everyday. but maybe dry shampoo would help to lessen the oil and make u able to wash every 2nd day. Moroccan oil will make your hair healthier too and always use heat protectant if ur blow drying or straightening
Could you do a review of Fudge hair products like the Fudge Matte Hed Extra Matte Molding Wax?... I would like to know your opinion whether its too expensive for a hair product and if there are any alternatives to it.
just a quick question is the hold on the Toni and guy product as good as let's say vo5 matte clay or the lynx peace hair cream and which one would you say out of those three is the best (hold and overall use)
I was looking for a video on applying the Got2B beach matte paste since I just bought it but doesn't seem to work great from your video. Do you have a overall ranking of the budget ones you tried somewhere? I may just try the Label M one, which one do you use?
in my opinion yeah matte products can be used with most hair styles but id say yanno a messy beach hair would be mainly suited ..... but the orange got2b is kinda yanno....dead...like the beach matte which i have used for 2 years as a finishing is great for messy hairstyles not really Pompadours or anything like that 👌
Hi James would you recommend guy&tonic styling fibre or would you recommend the lynx hair cream or vo5 matte clay if I wanted a strong hold please reply I don't know what to fork out on. I think you should do a video on comparisons between products so clays waxs pomades, because people struggle to decide
Ahh man I bought the textured clay got2b a week before seeing this review! Never again! And I've only used it once! The hold is awesome if you manage to style it in time! Although, the dryness, oh man the dryness is horrific! They should give away shampoo and conditioners with this as compensation.. Spot on review though, especially since our hair is around the same length.
Got2b texture clay is absolutely great for short hair and you can Definitely restyle it with shorter hair throughout the day.. And it's really easy to wash out to.. I use it regularly and I could absolutely see why it is definitely Not for Long hair.. Lol
my hair is soft and i use gatsby wax mat hard. its not good for my hair. when i used it my hair strated to fall. and its thin now. iam in india. what do u advice me to use for my hair? i want somthing to hold my hair and i can renove it without using shamboo? .
+James Welsh Try "Claymation"; - I have thick straight hair and it';s the best I've ever used. Pricey but worth it. Would LOVE you to do a review for us!!! Not sure how true but I've seen a few times online that Hanz De Fuko is what David Beckham uses. Annoyed Tigi changed the formula in Matte Separation Wax; not worth buying the new silver tin.
They've probably copied it. Got2b is a german company and gatsby is a japanese one. I've had the tub for years and bearly used it. it was so expensive £20 :////
Hey James please could you do a review on shockwaves green tub, jimmy trims stiffy and vo5 thicken up boosting fibre I have tried all of them I love em so please could you tell me what you think of these products. thanks
I use the istylers product on a daily basis and for me its one of the best products I've ever used (and trust me I've used many expensive products). You were using it completely wrong, your not meant to apply it to your hair when it's completely dry (it should probably say on that on the packaging). i shape my hair with a hair dryer and then apply it while my hair is still slightly damp and it works fine and lasts all day. btw u also used way to much😂 nice vid tho😜
Forgot to mention I am going to buy some Lush products via international shipping do you have any must haves my budget is 40£ max and my skin is combination oily.
I was using got2be glued several times and today I bought got2be matt paste and STILL I've the same problem... When my hair is dry it hurts to put the product... Is there any solution to this problem?
+James Welsh Next one is definitely going to be TONI&GUY styling fibre according to your suggestions :) but I was just wondering how it is that some people use it with no problems but for us is such terrible :p
idk man, its hard to judge products when u use them because your natural hair is already so flexible and pretty close to what u style it to. but good video.
+James Welsh I remember a few months back I orders their stuff and I was so impressed by the result that I stopped using any other products I wanted to try their new product but sadly they stopped shipping to India anyways my recommendation for you according to look you currently have is Claymation or Gravity Paste, I know you might know some discount or deal coupon codes of them n if you don't do let me know.
+Shoeb Khan I was in touch with Hanz De Fuko regarding the shipping issues with India, Its our customs who create all the problems, however you can get the product at www.luxola.com/in/brands/hanz-de-fuko at twice the price which is a rip off.... :(
Shoeb Khan I feel you bro, I really want to try their product Claymation. I have slightly Curly/Wavy hair, which curls depending on their length, and I tried most of the beauty stores in Bombay none of them have Hanz De Fuko products.
Hey, great video as always =D Have to admit, your beard is looking on point 👌 Can you please do a beard tutorial video and give us users some tips on how you personally maintain it, how often you trim and how exactly you shape it and stuff :D Also!! I think this question would be best answered by you.. How do you blend your beard with your side burns and make it look like the same size? Thanks in advance and keep it up👍👌✖
I remember when I bought the L'Oreal clay , i didnt really understand how to use it , I would just put it into the front and a couple days later, i threw it away because it didnt work at all. Now I regret.
Sorry, I'm in the US so I'm wondering different product or same product different name since it's a different country. Can anyone tell me the difference between got2b istylers texture clay & got2b phenomenal texture clay? I've only ever used their glued & defiant products so I'm not too familiar
haha i loved it! great video though mate! but i used the orange got2be product, now i have similar hair cut but my hair on top is a bit longer than yours. and i find the got2be product has really good hold, as my hair is so heavy lots of products just make my hair flop down:/
some reason mine doesn't have much of a smell! strange aha! but i admit you do need to style your hair quickly because it drys so fast! but luckily i like a messy slick back kind of look
as i am on a tight budget (hence why i liked your videos) i have used this got2be stuff, but I've already tried a few V05 products! which....arent great for my hair:/ but give them a try your self! personally they are not great for heavy hair.
I used to use the got2b istylers and it sucks, i used to put some water bcz its so sticky and it dries so fast and yeah it smells awful and got2b is a german company made by schwarzkopf
+James Welsh hey!! Hahah the grey one is weaker in terms of the hold. In my opinion, it's more suitable for shorter hair! Hahah yeah, I've tried the green one before and is really nice. Like it too! Thanks for replying!!
Section up your video content, it will make your video more professional :P Like texture, smell...I looking for more close up shoot after you rubbing in the product. Haha....I hate sticky and tacky product when I rub it. I tried many drugstore product but mainly have too much perfume/chemical . I always spend more in hair styling product as the chemical stay 9+hour on scalp. Currently I using Denis Wax (Tokyo) ...still testing it now.. I waiting your Styling Miraki product review soon ...
+James Welsh hey greetings from America. I think you have hypersensitivity, I noticed it when you heard the sound of metal on metal and gagged, I have the same thing but mine kicks in when I touch or even think about silk, you should do some research. just wanted to give you a heads up #txt 👌👌
I use the got2b beach matte and it works in my hair sooo well, I have a skin fade and longer top / quiff look and it was really good in my hair
Jake Landsbury i am the same
Jake Landsbury same !!!!!!
works good for me too as a finisher gives me lotsa texture
yep me too :)
Same dose it leave a bit a of stuff in your hair like thin dandruff on ur hair ik I don’t have dandruff because only this product dose it to me but it is not very noticeable unless ur close

Jay J which product are you using
Jay J mix it 50/50 with got2b beach matte
no change in hair detected in all 17 minutes.
+James Welsh I think he's trying to say that your hair didn't change throughout the video but still makes no sense
the got2B istylers orange one should be applied with very damp hair and then tried to get the true end result
I'm a girl using this and wow ya know the have the toni&guy thing laying around, it smelt nice (so by instincts I thought it would do) and it works pretty well, I don't have the flyaway ends and it holds everything in place, even if the wind is coming. Anyways, thank you for the review of the product, now I know that it's safe to use on my head too :) it's pretty cool, plus I can apply it after my soccer or Rugby games :D .
Thanks for doing the video though!
WHY IS IT IN POUNDS :(
WHY IS IT IN POUNDS :(
since I live in Australia it's in these sort of metal tin jar things
I've used the VO5 extreme style thicken up Lifting paste and I found that was really got a creating a matt finish when you applied it in wet hair and blow dried it through. And also got my Label M products on Black Friday and I'm loving them. THEY ARE SOO GOOD. I love the fold you get from it and the Matt finish. Plus they smell amazing
😂😂 "why am I being such a dick?" LMAO
"Smells like aftershave I would never buy."
So it smells like an axe product?
+James Welsh Hi james welsh all products you try look great and work great but theres are strong hair product which is VO5 rework putty.Trust me try its great you will love it.

i feel you mann i hate the noise when like spoons and forks crash with a bunch of others i hate it.
I love how casual and honest you were!
James Welsh I use got2b everyday but it's easier to do a rough look
In my time, I've used three of these and still use the grooming cream on wet hair before i blow dry and then i apply wax
I like to use Got2Be matt paste on my hair being wet. It distributes well, then Im drying my hair and use a little bit of hair spray to keep everything on fleek (I'm living in a preety windy area). you mean the clay? I have the wax and it doesnt dry fast.
'Glued Spiking Wax'
Which do you prefer, the Toni and Guy fibre or the Lynx Peace Cream?
dude part 3!!!!
Quick question... using Gel as a pre-styler - does it matter if the Gel has a strong hold ?

Bro which is the best hair wax for long hair ? I want perfect hold and long lasting and moreover under budget could u please reply .
He doesnt use wax. Try blumaan or label m.
i came here for the got2b, but a off topic question?
did you strech your ears? i have streched mine to 24 mm and they look similar to yours..
sorry if i'm wrong..
i got all of the got2b im in love with them
I actually just bought the got2b clay. Is it so bad that I need to switch product??? Pls reply! btw I have medium legnth hair, pretty much like you...
Do you have any hair tutorials, like how to ask for your cut?
how does the product smell like? is it somewhat like aftershave ?
Sorry, but was wondering if the Got2b texture clay hardens your hair. I'm looking for a product that doesn't make your hair rock solid, like gel. Thx
I tried the tony&guy fibre once and I loved it... Only the ingredients are not that recommendable.
I put products in my hair everyday and my hair gets super greasy if I don't wash it. So I have washed my hair everyday for the last two years. Not knowing it was damaging my hair. What do I do?
+James Welsh ok thanks for the tip 👍🏻 good channel BTW. I've got some great tips and tricks from your vids. Wish you the best.

The beach matte gives you a sea salt spray vibe
Can u plz.. make a video on leave in conditioners...on low budgets
I do like your hair style, how do I cut like this? Could tell me what kind of hair style? Thank you
Thank you so much. :)
Hi James :) In your opinion which was best in product out of the Part 1 & Part 2 videos combined?
Idk if it was out at the time of uploading this, but old spice putty is pretty alright.
Could you do a review of Fudge hair products like the Fudge Matte Hed Extra Matte Molding Wax?... I would like to know your opinion whether its too expensive for a hair product and if there are any alternatives to it.
Love your videos btw :)
just a quick question is the hold on the Toni and guy product as good as let's say vo5 matte clay or the lynx peace hair cream and which one would you say out of those three is the best (hold and overall use)
With the Got2b stuff just use a hair spray if its too dry, simple solution
I was looking for a video on applying the Got2B beach matte paste since I just bought it but doesn't seem to work great from your video. Do you have a overall ranking of the budget ones you tried somewhere? I may just try the Label M one, which one do you use?
Great info! Love this type of video...thanks!
Iv brought the got2b product before and the funny thing is its waterproof so you must of had a hard time getting it out
Could I use Nature Republic's Aloe Vera Gel as a Gel alternative on my hair for hold?
you always look good keep smiling
Do a series of gatsby hair wax! All the waxes in the moving rubber series.
in my opinion yeah matte products can be used with most hair styles but id say yanno a messy beach hair would be mainly suited ..... but the orange got2b is kinda yanno....dead...like the beach matte which i have used for 2 years as a finishing is great for messy hairstyles not really Pompadours or anything like that 👌
Can the Got 2b beach matt be used as a prestyler on damp hair prior to blowdrying?
Hi James would you recommend guy&tonic styling fibre or would you recommend the lynx hair cream or vo5 matte clay if I wanted a strong hold please reply I don't know what to fork out on. I think you should do a video on comparisons between products so clays waxs pomades, because people struggle to decide

Spot on review though, especially since our hair is around the same length.
Have you ever tried Tigi's Bed Head products? By far my favourite, especially if you have thick hair that like to do their own thing haha!
Got2b texture clay is absolutely great for short hair and you can Definitely restyle it with shorter hair throughout the day.. And it's really easy to wash out to.. I use it regularly and I could absolutely see why it is definitely Not for Long hair.. Lol
Because it tangles
yes james! love these videos!
is T&G fiber will work good for thick wavy dry hair pls reply
my hair is soft and i use gatsby wax mat hard. its not good for my hair. when i used it my hair strated to fall. and its thin now. iam in india. what do u advice me to use for my hair? i want somthing to hold my hair and i can renove it without using shamboo? .
Hey James, have you ever used any Hanz De Fuko products? I've heard a lot about them recently
I've got the purple gatsby product, its been out for years and they've had that package for years. The got2b one is more new.
They've probably copied it. Got2b is a german company and gatsby is a japanese one. I've had the tub for years and bearly used it. it was so expensive £20 :////
This video is a life saver 👌👌👌👌👌
I use the Got2b clay one and I love it
Hey James please could you do a review on shockwaves green tub, jimmy trims stiffy and vo5 thicken up boosting fibre I have tried all of them I love em so please could you tell me what you think of these products.

Hi James have you tried Hanz de Fuko it's certified organic
+FiZZ Hanz de fuko replied the same to me and gave the site link of luxola and other websites none of them has the New gravity paste.
Shoeb Khan I feel you bro, I really want to try their product Claymation. I have slightly Curly/Wavy hair, which curls depending on their length, and I tried most of the beauty stores in Bombay none of them have Hanz De Fuko products.
+FiZZ cherry on the top is when they send u their emails saying apply coupon CMFREE for a free can of claymation
Hey, great video as always =D
Have to admit, your beard is looking on point 👌
Can you please do a beard tutorial video and give us users some tips on how you personally maintain it, how often you trim and how exactly you shape it and stuff :D
Also!! I think this question would be best answered by you.. How do you blend your beard with your side burns and make it look like the same size?
Thanks in advance and keep it up👍👌✖
Got2b is what I use as I am growing out bangs a very painful process
I remember when I bought the L'Oreal clay , i didnt really understand how to use it , I would just put it into the front and a couple days later, i threw it away because it didnt work at all. Now I regret.
Sorry, I'm in the US so I'm wondering different product or same product different name since it's a different country. Can anyone tell me the difference between got2b istylers texture clay & got2b phenomenal texture clay? I've only ever used their glued & defiant products so I'm not too familiar
Got2b texture clay I use best thing ever in my hair!!!!!!
i couldn't stop laughing for 5 mins when he gagged because of the metal rubbing!!!
haha i loved it! great video though mate! but i used the orange got2be product, now i have similar hair cut but my hair on top is a bit longer than yours. and i find the got2be product has really good hold, as my hair is so heavy lots of products just make my hair flop down:/
some reason mine doesn't have much of a smell! strange aha! but i admit you do need to style your hair quickly because it drys so fast! but luckily i like a messy slick back kind of look

Looks like good stuff.. sample?
yes id like to try t out.
What did u say the got2be fiber looks like
I got the got 2 B white for 1pound full tin un used from a shop
the #txt is good for useing as a pre-styler while blowdrying your hair!
+James Welsh There are two more products in that line ... The pink one which i use has a really nice smell. I love it ... Great video! ;-)
Please could you try brylcream
please make a video of TONY AND GUY styling pomade
suggest me a pomade that is less expensive and gives high hold
The title should be named test & tried men styling product. You can google a Singapore show on youtube for the video format. :P
I used to use the got2b istylers and it sucks, i used to put some water bcz its so sticky and it dries so fast and yeah it smells awful and got2b is a german company made by schwarzkopf
Hey James I saw Robin James used that Got to Be hair texture clay and I heard that it's pretty bad.
Also I hear that it's a waste of money.
Can u review gatsby?
gratz to 100k subs :D
Gatsby products that are pretty good are the purple, pink and grey ones hahaha the grey one is actually a clay.
+James Welsh hey!! Hahah the grey one is weaker in terms of the hold. In my opinion, it's more suitable for shorter hair! Hahah yeah, I've tried the green one before and is really nice. Like it too! Thanks for replying!!

I believe so
Alright. I have the loreal one and it doesn't smell bad at all 😂
Try review the Gatsby products u have.
Best cheap styling product brand

+James Welsh hey greetings from America. I think you have hypersensitivity, I noticed it when you heard the sound of metal on metal and gagged, I have the same thing but mine kicks in when I touch or even think about silk, you should do some research. just wanted to give you a heads up #txt 👌👌
+James Welsh yah I'm lucky becuse how often do you feel silk haha but I bet it sucks that the metal on metal sound is what does it for you.
+john dough I get it with scratchy high pitched noises such as chalkbaord and cchalk
+Will Powell yah it sucks
