Hay Bill just wanted to let you know those small fuel filters come apart.. just use a pocket screwdriver and pop either the top or bottom off and the element will come out of the housing.. it’ll just snap back together after cleaning.. and you could have heated up your awe to poke that hole in that diaphragm gasket.. great video bud!
I have the same blower and this past summer replaced the bulb and it must have been on its way out and now starts right up. I'm not sure if i ever replaced the plug or fuel filter but do use non ethanol gas. At onetime i was buying stihl premix but with so many pieces of equipment i used it to fast.

To make holes in the gaskets they make gasket punch kit. I have also used a leather punch to make the holes
im looking at getting a sh55 or 86 with my br700 blower at my stihl store wich i think the sh 55 and sh86 replaces the bg 55 and bg86 models

My dad with his keeps the throttle open giving more gas while choking then when it catches take choke off she’ll run fine.
91 or 93 octane fuel doesn’t have ethanol in it
