With the confession of Peter in Mark 8,30, the disciples reveal who Jesus is! The now share that knowledge with the readers and with the spiritual world, but their reaction to Jesus' three predictions of His sufferings discloses that they know who He is, but not what He is. Focus in the chapters to follow is to help the disciples to understand, but as illustrated in the healing of the blind in Mark 8,22-26, understanding at times come very slowly.
