    Is it true these don’t last as long as actually screenprinting the design onto the hats (specifically the foam trucker hats)? I’m torn on which route to go as I’m interested in getting into the hat making side of screenprinting. Great video btw!

      Andrew, these Goof Proof screen printed transfers are just as durable on hats and headwear as real deal screen printing (and a whole lot easier to apply) they are exactly the same inks. I (Dave) personally have hats that still have a perfect print years later after tons of use and wear. While these screen printed transfers work a variety of caps, the foam-front trucker hats are (in my opinion) the best hat for printing this type of transfer on.

    Could you do a video of what the Sim stitch on UltraColor would look like on hats. Thank you.

    There's a way or transfer for beanies specifically? I have a customer who didn't like any of the patches just because he doesn't like bulky stuff. And, since I can not print goof proof on beanies I'm wondering what can I use instead. Thanks.

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  2 роки тому +2

      Beanies are a little tricky depending on the fabric content. Acrylic beanies have a tendency to deform and loose their elasticity under high heat. We've had a lot of success with 100% polyester beanies and our UltraColor Soft transfers or even ElastiPrints (which apply at 290- or even 275 on super heat sensitive 100% polyester)

    How do we adjust pressure on the press I just bought the fusion but I tried to adjust the pressure but it stays at zero even when I move the upper black adjustment knobs clock wise it stays at zero with a exclamation mark with the pressure read at zero in orange ?

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  Рік тому

      Hey Robert, sorry to hear you're having some troubles with your new press- Does the press still read zero with a hat loaded onto it and/or one of foam pads included with the machine?
      You can reach out to Hotronix directly to troubleshoot issues or calibrate the pressure on your press: www.hotronix.com/support

    Just got the iq360 and used your settings. Can’t get a good print either. Any suggestions on other settings? Ruining hats sucks. I see on stahl transfers the lower platen is higher setting then lower

    • @transferexpress

      Hey Scott, sorry to hear you're having some difficulties printing headwear, we'd love to help! What hat style and transfer are you using? What is your pressure setting displaying?
      The dimensional emblems and patches from Stahls have heat-activated adhesive on them that requires the bottom heat when using the 360 press. For this example with goof proof on foam front trucker hats, you don't need the heat however I've found it works for reducing scorching on these sensitive foam fronts - Other than a paper cover sheet, we did not use any of the foam pads and had to increase our pressure accordingly.

    I tried transferring my goof proof transfers onto 100% cotton caps and the results have not been great. I either get not all of it being transferred or end up burning the transfers. I followed the directions thoroughly and I tried adjusting the heat and pressure but not once has it come out nice. Is it because it’s cotton? Does goof proof not work on cotton heat presses unlike cotton shirts?

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  2 роки тому

      Hey Zeo, sorry to hear you're having some trouble. Goof proof should apply no problem to Polyester and cotton hats. We would recommend submitting a resolution in your account on transferexpress.com for the quickest action.
      With that being said we've love to try to help as well. Most of the time applications go awry on hats and headwear is due to the cap not sitting flat and flush against the platen- any obstructions will then block consistent pressure across the entire surface of the transfer. What heat press and hat style are you using?

    What Stahl’s transfer products are compatible with this unit ?

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  2 роки тому

      Hey VidaEats! Technically, all Stahls products will work with this heat press. The lower heat really makes applying the emblems and patches ( www.stahls.com/stahls-flexstyle-emblems ) an absolute breeze, but, if you don't need the lower platen heat for the transfer you're applying you can turn it off.

      Absolutely! Anyone can register for a Transfer Express account. You can just put your name as a business name in the form. There is a spot on the registration form for a tax ID as well, but you can select the option to ignore it if you don't have it.

      @@transferexpress the cricut mini tip for poly was good. What about putting cover sheets over the areas of the shirt contacting the press where the logo isn’t being applied? That seems to be logical to avoid press marks

    • @transferexpress
      @transferexpress  Рік тому +1

      You can, just like how we used a coversheet in this video, just be sure to compensate on the heat to not compromise the application temperature. We prefer the paper coversheets as they don't block heat like the silicone sheets or do (sometimes up to 30 degrees!)
      In most cases, using a lower temperature transfer on heat sensitive items eliminates any need for a cover sheet. We do have a video on some tips for avoiding press marks here: ua-cam.com/video/mdl9AXPMlt8/v-deo.html
