I think Ryu is on combo change from being top tier. Like a light Tatsu to follow up with a combo or multi hit tatsu. Also, denjin should power up every move. Why does Ryu have to charge while Ken has fire dp and fire tatsu with no charge?
@@k0L082also, Ken does not have that deep remission of tapping into the satsui no hado unlike Ryu. It's like Ryu entering a pseudo emergence of the murder wave when charging up his denjin, it solely is channeled through his hado or hashogeki😂 and then when he commits to the CA we see electrocution too lol
@@Romezguidebelieve me he gets it, the fact that a standing medium or heavy punch followed by a either of the previous or latter depending on push back, people are more reliant on drive rushing to gain more momentum to build combos, it's how it has always been, Ryu has a slow but damaging tatsu swing, Ken has like more rapid propulsion, also, ken focuses on the amount of hits in a shoryuken whilst Ryu just bashes you vigorously, and if properly applied, an amalgamation of hits😂
the fact you dont need to be using every one of ken's tools to succeed is exactly why i believe modern ken is one of the best modern characters. His autocombos on modern bring his execution requirements down to nothing at all, and losing out on some options really is moreso a tradeoff for instant specials and supers.
Im not nearly as good as u cus im only 1600 ryu but i feel like defense is my issue. I don't think my offense loses to ken but i get opened up so easily. If i get my defense fundamentals better id rate ryu higher.
@@5thunders191Ken has more ways to open up than Ryu does so that is a Ryu issue. However, this guy losing the Ken matchup is not a Ryu issue (although I do think Ken slightly wins at the highest level)
Ryu needs new moves that surprise his opponents. His target combos are the worst. Ryu is Fireball's father and to this day I still don't understand why he still doesn't have an aerial fireball. Dhalsim has several types.
Then there’s the health issue, for some they may need the extra health. Trust me, I am not one to say Akumas health balances him out. But 1000 hp for just straight up having a better toolset than ryu while doing the same damage is a an excellent trade off. On the oher hand Ryu hits like a truck off his most basic combos and has full health, so they might choose him
Buff him Capcom! he sucks compared to the other two. It's bullshit how much love they give Ken and Akuma , but Ryu the so called "protagonist" is stuck behind them instead of being as good as them.
Ryu hits like a truck the damage is strong
Said this just yesterday, lol. It was Kusanagi vs Daigo and I said "good fundamentals on both sides, but damn, Ryu hits like a dodge ram😂"
Styles make a fight a fight. I like how both characters have there own fight styles now. For the longest time Ken was just a Ryu clone.
Or ryu was a ken clone

Yeah his Denjin charge doing more damage on overall moves would definitely give him a boost
@@RomezguideCapcom can do it, but they won’t because they don’t want their poster boy to be top tier

In my opinion i think Rashid has the best corner carry combo in the game
I wish they can give Ryu more tools like some of Ken or Akuma moves since lore wise he fights them and is supposed to be the superior of them
@@Romezguide canonically akuma never fought ryu. And Ken has more wins over ryu

Are you going to upload ken content to UA-cam
Yes I am. I made it over 1900MR with Ken in about a week and learned a lot about the characters strength and weaknesses!

Nice, what about Akuma, I feel he’s closer to Ryu in play style than Ken but would say players respect his offence as well

why only ryu has no +5 on hit crlp? and why only ryu can't do stlk tip toes heavy shoryu? such a shoto discrimination ... lol ( buff ryu )
It is. Japanese shotos gets nerf on health or not given the tools to succeed while Ken gets the best of both worlds when Ryu is Capcom
Ken is trash, everyone has the same playstyle but Ryu players I actually respect them and have fun playing them in the process win or lose.
