I'm a big fan of the channel -- thanks for producing such great videos! I'd like to offer an idea for a future episode: as a new paddler, I have what appears to be a common new-paddler challenge which is having my legs/feet become numb after a short while (30-60min on the water). There appears to be some common tweaks (leg bolsters, different kinds of seats, etc, along with proper posture and position) that are advised and I'd welcome a video with your take on it. I bet others would as well. In short, what are some of the best ways to modify or augment a cockpit to help minimize the numbing that can happen with new paddlers who are eager to be on the water more than an hour at a time? Just an idea--thanks!
Damn good point about the MREs. When one is hungry, especially in the field, on a camping trip, etc., everything tastes amazing. Another excellent review video!
fun reviews Ken...I am in northern New Mexico (USA) and both a white-water kayaker and backpacker so I will definitely be checking out the Colorado based dehydrated food company. Thanks!
Awesome reviews! Some really great items! FWIW. I think the name of the cooler is pronounced JOE-Cass-see. I think it is from the name of the lake in South Carolina. I look forward to seeing what I can find out about the items! I like the cooler’s size, and ESPECIALLY the cost. Very affordable.
@@PaddleTV Ah yes. The wonders of accents. They are so much fun. I don’t think I would EVER have known how to pronounce it if I hadn’t lived in the area for a period of time. Thank you very much for your continuing reviews! They are really great. They have influenced my paddling experience in a number of ways.
This video made me laugh, too funny. That stuff is not really affordable but interesting to know that it exists I guess. I had to change on my front seat the time I fell in the water out of my kayak. Difficult to do. But it was either that or drive home wet.
I have a lot of hobbies. When we moved to a little lake town last month, I knew I needed to pick up some kind of water sport, or I'd go out of my mind. One of your videos (I am ashamed to admit that I don't remember which one) popped up while doing some cursory googling, and I proceeded to consume most of your backlog in a week. Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that, when it comes to videos like these for _most_ of my hobbies, I end up skipping them, because they're usually just a bunch of sponsored products that the UA-camr pushes in order to keep their channel afloat. (ha!) I don't have any problem with that, mind you; creators gotta eat, too. I just find that the videos aren't very helpful to me. Your videos _never_ have this feeling. As a result, I just bought a RapidPure filter bottle, and a few of those dehydrated meals. Thanks for making such great, wholesome, educational videos. I wish more of my hobbies had folks like you making videos for them.
I use deWalt contractor safety glasses "smoke" At £3 a pair, I dont mind losing them. Ear plugs are a bad idea, wont hear my vhf radio. Changing robes? errr we have naked cycling and nudist beaches here. Minimalist is my way, water bottle, radio & electronic flare. Dry bag with mixed nuts and light weight towel.
Swimmers Ear sucks. It feels like a horse kicked you in the head. If you do get water in your ear, I'm not a doctor but it's when I put polysprorin ear drops in and hopefully stop it from occurring at all

Great idea David. It is a VERY common problem, and unfortunately it drives a lot of people away from kayaking. Stay tuned for this video!
A rechargeable headlamp with front and back lights would be useful for a kayaker in low light conditions.
LifeStraw PERSONAL WATER FILTER, they are great, we used them in our remote medical mission trips. Also used by Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders.

😆 Yes. Even Spam taste good in the field.

Cheers Ronny!
Highly amused by your antics!
Got a dealer for the sun glasses near me, going to check them out, maybe get a pair with my prescription, another great gear review.

Thanks for the correction. That's the Canadian accent coming through! :).

Do they make a pair of sunglasses that fit over prescription eyewear?
I don't think they do... they do make prescription sunglasses though.
Yes. They are called over the glasses sunglasses. I got mine on Amazon
I can't imagine being on the water without my polarized prizm Oakley's.

Ha! DryRobe is definitely not a requirement when you launch near a nudist colony.
Please stop using my test message chime in your videos. Think I checked my text messages a dozen times during this video. Lol😂
