Cool video dude. After watching I had to get that creature. I've managed to pick up the fake Mantisaur for £5 plus post. Can't wait to test him out with my vintage guys.
My Classics horde faction currently includes Fighting Foe Men, Double Trouble, Entrapta, Imp and Despara. My filmation horde set includes Tung Lashor. I have head only of Colonel Blast, Admiral Scurvy and False Face on Blast Attak and Geldor bodies. I need to add a horde Rattlor one day.
Scott Neitlich claims that Hordak's look was based off of a tiki mask that was hanging up in one of the offices at Mattel. Me personally I agree that the Horde were based off the Universal Monsters
In the Power and Honor catalog, the designer stated he was watching The Exorcist and was struck by the visual appearance of the demon and its resemblance to voodoo witchdoctor masks. There was no tiki mask involved.
I think Hordak would be cooler if he was originally designed maybe something closer to what he was in the new she-ra. More like a intimidating intergalactic space vampire, instead he's bat-faced man skeletor...........or maybe just go all HR geiger and make him something closer to Lord Zedd From power rangers
Great video again...question for you, did you ever attempt a custom with cy chop? I’m going try and convert cy chop into a roboto. Wondering how I would be able to remove the arms and the lower body. With out destroying the important torso, I would paint it with a solid metallic silver. Use optikks legs and a set of arms that would match maybe an extra horde prime I have. Possible?

I just thought the Horde characters were soft reboots of Skeletor and his crew: Grizzlor is Beastman, Leach is Merman, etc.
It does seem that way, part of the reason why I'm not a Hordak fan.
