Great video, and crazy how much these figures value has changed since you posted this. I recently acquired a Blue Beard Stratos, and I can tell you the value of this figure has all but doubled from your evaluation. And if you happen to have the correct 3-tab armor that goes to this figure, the price goes even higher.
Thanks for the video. I could have used this information a few months ago. I knew nothing about MOTU but saw the Castle Greyskull & 5-6 figures with accessories at a garage sale. I bought it for $5 and did the research later. Sold the Castle, a few figures, and some accessories for $175-$200. Now I will be looking for the ones you covered! Thanks again!
I love these kind of videos from you. Very helpful for yard sales. I've seen MOTU figures at estate auctions before but never understood why they sold for so much. Very helpful, Thanks
I just found my entire MOTU collection. I have all but the Italian HeMan and his other variants. Sitting in a box for 25-30 yrs. They’re in real good shape. Just a good cleaning and I’ll be posing them.....somewhere in my place. I even got a MOTU movie poster I forgot I had and all the characters from the film.
This was cool to watch. I’ve never seen MOTU so I wouldn’t have recognized the characters if I came across them. Now I’m going to start looking through action figures!! Thank you!!! 🙌🏻❤️
You should watch the Netflix documentary called The Toys that Made Us. It goes into great detail how He-Man was made. He originally was a Conan toy but since there was so much violence, they couldn't make it into a toy for kids. He originally started as a toy and then they made it into a show. I found a Castle Greyskull at Salvation Army but it was missing the door and one of the hinges was broken. Still had the orange floor in the inside. They were asking $10 for it so I didn't pick it up. Looks like condition affects the price a lot.
I believe that when Mattel was going to make toys for Conan and found out it was violent and couldn’t sell these toys to kids they decided not to make toys for Conan but had made these already, had all the molds made and didn’t know what to do with the stock. Check out some of the documentary’s. You will see they admit to doing this but will never say this was Conan figures made for Conan movies. So they decided to make motu toys out of what they had left and that is the wonder of the time with these toys. You never know where the ideas came from but you get the idea.
Hi Dominic, I've been watching videos like yours and I'm gonna buy a bin of action figures and consider it the price of an education in this genre. Too many around to keep overlooking. Great Vid!!
Got some valuable info regarding your video.... Your "Italian" he-man isn't valuable because it was made in Italy but because it is actually Laser Light He-man from 1987.... The hole in it's back shoulder blade is from where a large wire went into & the other end or the wire was attached to it's sword. It had a battery pack on its back to make it light up. There was is also laser light skeletor too with same features.
My vintage laser power he man is complete but his accessories are repro except the sword , but the reproduction vest and pack cost £100 looks great complete though
Great Video !!! Can you Imagen, I got your number 2 on the List Original on CARD. I picked her up for just $300. This is also my favorite MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Figure. NINJOR is also great, need to get him Original on Card too one Day. Do you own a lot of Figures on Card? Greetings from London ;-)
@@AndreEichstedt I collect vintage Masters of the universe loose and occasionally carded. G.I. Joe loose and also occasionally carded. I collect known but, sometimes forgotten 80's toy lines like, Captain Power, Secret Wars, WWF Ljn. Got some complete Ninja Turtles. Also, I collect Trading cards from movies and television. Most 80's and 90's sets.
damn I need to check my stratos to see if there is a blue beard. I know for a fact I have the king randor with his spear, I had no idea it was worth that much. Now I just need to decide if I will sell it.
22:04 Dammit, I iused to have italian Heman. Yes it was for an accessory, this was the heman that had a strap on backpack that contained batteries for a glowing sword. the hole has a mechanism where when u raise the arm holding the glowing sword, it'll push a spring button on the backpack that lights up the sword.
I just sold He-Man figure in the package package was a little damaged, but everything still readable. For $40 I originally was only asking $20 he gave me $40 1982 original He-Man. I'm so stupid I should have looked it up first. I'm just now realizing how bad you a screwed-up

There is a great series on Netflix all about it: The Tots that made us, Thanks for watching
Italian He-Man AKA Laser Light He-Man, the hole on the back is for his battery back to be fitted.
Thanks
