  • This year we chose to use the new 2022 annuals from Proven Winners. This experiment was a great success. Check out this video as we show the whole growing season. These plants really are top notch!

      Thanks so much Mama GG. I am so glad to be back. We had to take a little break for summer vacation, but I'm looking forward to making new videos. It's going to be a great Fall for sure. I wish I had more time to make more, but you know how it goes... work keeps me super busy. Thanks again and see you in the next video.

    Greeting's from Ireland, Nice job your colours offset nicely I used to grow lots of annual's in pot's a few year's ago but with our rainy summers turning them to mush I stopped growing them.

      Ireland! Awesome!!! Thanks so much for stopping by to watch and comment our new friend. My wife has family going way back to Irish roots. One day, she and I would love to visit your beautiful country. Also, I know what a lot of rain can do... this last rainy season really did wipe out a bunch of plants that would normally have survived. Until next time.. have a great day! Greetings right back at you from Southern California!

    Good idea to keep them in the cans for a while, until they are bigger. These are gorgeous.

    Love them. I take it these are very similar to petunias. They match so well with what we call our iceberg roses. Ilias.

      For sure! They are. Yes these are trailing petunias under our iceberg roses. Thanks so much for commenting and have a great day!

    Beautiful! How far apart did you planted them? How often did you fertilized them? Please share your green thumbs secrets.

      Hey Linda, Thanks so much. I planted them right around 24 inches apart. I used the Espoma Flower Tone at the time of planting... Then I used the Proven winners water soluble every 2 weeks or so. You are most welcome and thanks again for watching. I really appreciate your watching.

    What tool where you using to clean your bed?

    • @williamsgardening
      @williamsgardening  Рік тому

      That’s just an old fashioned scraping tool passed down from my grandparents then to my parents, then to me. I love that thing. I may have to replace the wood handle eventually. I wish I could find a new one made like that.

    How deep is your raised bed?

    • @williamsgardening
      @williamsgardening  2 місяці тому

      Hello there. Thanks for your question. I would say they are about a foot deep and about 4 feet from the house to the front of the planter wide. There's plenty of room for the back row of shrubs and annuals to be planted in front. Funny story, when we moved in, I wondered what in the world I was going to do with such wide beds, but in the end, their size worked out to be most beneficial. Have a great day.
