So beautiful. Hi Helen, The black background rooster quilt ,is that also applique pieces with color fabrics and then paint with shiny paint on top of the color fabrics ? For the white background applique rooster quilt I don't think you painted the fabric, only quilted on top of the applique pieces. Thank you.

The book appears to be out-of-print and unavailable, even immediately after this video came out. I can't find it anywhere. Perhaps Helen had difficulties getting it printed in the States (Amazon would take at least half the profit because of it being an odd-sized book). If produced in Australia, the shipping to the US would It make it cost-prohibitive. I do hate to see a book in demand that isn't available. Sad for us and the author. It appears Helen's website is down, too.
Garth Vaedar I picked up on that as well. She must have led a very sheltered life, considering they were introduced into Australia in the 1800s. It's like an American saying that they don't have bears or alligators in their country. Hardly a good role model for them Aussies if she doesn't even know what's outside of her own backyard.
Seriously? I can only quilt animals from my own country? Did not know that was a rule. Foxes are definitely not Australian ands I mention that in the video Thank you Garth Vaedar for your incredible insight

there are red foxes in Australia. .I checked it out in the incyclopedia.
