- #rishisunak has been a disaster as prime minister. He seems to dislike being interviewed and becomes irritable and tetchy when challenged. He has failed in just about everything he has tried to do. It has been reported that his wife #akshatamurthy wants to go to America at once.
Import controls are finally to be introduced at Dover following five postponements. Th is likely to lead to delays, inconvenience, higher prices and shortages of some foods.
Sunak who has failed in four out of his five pledges continues to obsess about small boats and sending asylum seekers to #rwanda Moreover he says that he will seek the withdrawl of the UK from the #echr if attempts to send #asylumseekers to Rwanda are further frustrated.
The Criminal Justice Bill which is currently going through Parliament seeks to effectively criminalise rough sleepers who, at the discretion of the police will be subject to arrest even for being smelly.
Sunak has been a spectacular failure in everything he has tried to do.
And yet he (Sunak) is referred to by some commentators as being "too nice", or "basically a decent, nice man". Rubbish. He is a danger to this country, entirely bent on shovelling money into his offshore bank accounts, completely oblivious of the plight and suffering of others, selfish, self-obsessed, and thoroughly nasty when cornered.

I don't think that they have thought this through. Many of those sleeping rough on the streets will probably be glad for somewhere warm with regular food. The Tories should be ashamed of themselves, along with anyone who votes for them. The party of fiscal responsibility? Yeah, right!

I believe the India trade deal has failed for the time being. Any connection? What is he waiting for? He appears to be deliberately running the tory party into the ground along with sections of the NHS. Our local Freeport are did nothing for the local area, a lot for the local economic criminals. How easy it has become.Some years back I was sent to London on a course .My hotel was Strand Palace , paid for by my employer .One night on returningI saw a lady settling herself down for the night.in a door way We are similar age.I asked if she was OK ( daft question ) Up in my room I had two boxes of my fav Biscuits and other items .I went down and asked would she like them We talked.She was eloquent .I have zero family so wondered if it were so with her.I didn't ask We chatted and parted .Next day she was gone .Even now I can see her and hear her voice.The streets of London eh.Is that lady still alive ? His wife is a parasite too. How many Government contracts has her father's company now got too?. How many investments has he made through insider knowledge and trading?. The man is a con man. They look at us and speak to us as if we are the untouchables. Forgetting where his back side comes from. This is the thanks his parents gave this country for letting them stay. They gave us him. And now he is in a post that no one wanted him in. And he knows he is not wanted or liked but he still forces himself on this country. While he puts us in poverty and threatens to take our rights away before he goes to America. I hate him with a passion.
At least there will be absolutely nobody calling for a return of Sunak to office in future.
I would have welcomed a General Election in May, but sadly that prospect has drifted past.
The risk is that if the Tories do topple him as leader before the GE, the replacement would have to want to accept the undoubtedly poised chalice. So we shall have mad person, who might make all previous efforts seem less unsatisfactory. Truss returns? Patel? Kwarteng? Braveman? The heart trembles ...

It’s so annoying listening to government ministers and the general 🎉media telling us that the ‘Plan’ is working and that the ‘sunlit uplands’ are just around the corner. When you present one thing after another that this terrible government and PM does i realise how absolutely iunfit they are for this job! They know how to gain and retain power and play political game but absolutely useless and governing, leadership and administration!

Michael great reporting and analysis. I don't think Rishi Sunak is a sociopath, but he is definately a narcissist who has no integrity and hates poor or less well off people. This includes the disabled and low waged working people on benefits.

That whole "stop the boats" pile of BS comes from Australia- Tony Abbott, ex PM used that phrase to deflect attention away from how inept he is - just a bit of cynical scaremongering. He's an adviser to UK government now, since no one in Australia wanted to employ anyone so damaging and incompetent after he got turfed out of parliament by his own conservative electorate.
If it wasn't so corrupt, it would be amusing that Thames Water can't even run a business when they have a monopoly. Privatising water was such a bad idea.
I used to work in the water industry - privatisation assessment reports that did not show a benefit etc., were sent back by the government to be re-written in favour, so, apply to that to everything else....
It's a shame that Thatcher is no longer with us, because had she been and providing she had the wherewithal, I would love to know what she thinks of the way he disastrous privatisations are affecting our nation.
From crappy bus services (outside of London, of course), crappy trains, sky high utility bills and sewage in our rivers; that is her legacy.
