Michael T. Rodriguez you start a game by giving everyone four “door cards” (the more white ones) and four “treasure cards” (the more yellow-orange ones) Everyone equips any items or armor they can, with restrictions being the laws of physics, one set of armor, one headgear, one footgear, and up to to “hands”. You may also put one class and race card in play, if you have them in your starting hand. Then the game starts by someone kicking down the door! I hope this helped! And if it didn’t, please be honest, and just say you’re still confused.
I notice it happening to me too. I start losing him at 1:26 Maybe because of the breakneck change in pacing and details per sentence? Maybe I have UA-cam-induced adhd? Or maybe I just suck lel.
I got a set with “fairy dust” cards, and you only get them from helping people in combat (or canceling someone else’s curse, but no one does that) it made it so much easier to get help, because even if the person didn’t get any treasure, they would get fairy dust cards
Nice review I've just bought the game too because of it. I was looking something quick and fun , I've been playing dungeon roll and a few of its rule variations lately and was after something new.
I have several questions while in combat. If im in combat with a regular monster not undead. Can the other players intervene with an undead monster? Also… how many times can an other player intervene with a monster? Just once? Or multiple times?
Im confuse with the item that say ' useable only for...' for e.g if im a human with no class but I have staff that useable only by Wizard, can I play that card down but put it sideway until I get wizard class card then I equipped it? Or it can only play down until I have play wizard class? Me and my friends have been play down anything to get to 5 cards regardless what the card say, but we dont equipped it. Just lay there useless because we dont want to give it to other people. But I find its weird because we have charity phase, what's the point if at the end we going to play down all the card regardless what race/class we are.
I’m taking notes to build my own readable rules and you said from your deck at 1:35 ish not a biggie just trying to help keep the rules straight hope it helps you guys good luck
Good explanation! Maybe a silly question; during 'Charity' you can discards cards by using them or selling them (items). Can you also discard monster cards without fighting them? Or is that not allowed
How many cards can you have side ways infront of you? Items only or 1 shots also? Does that mean a player can hold and infinite amount of items in front of them? (Deep pockets) im not speaking about the 5 cards in hand
I'm not actually sure. I've been tempted to get the deluxe version, but since I already have the original, I can't justify spending the money until my UA-cam earnings are a little higher 😉
Whenever I play the game I always end up with like 10+ items cards in front of me, is that allowed or is there a max to how much cards you can have in front of you?
Keep playing. :) you'll have a chance to draw more whether by fighting/helping fight monsters, looting the room, or if your character dies you get four cards of each deck
@@Hogwa5hGaming Hy, could you please explain, what happen, if you die? Are you out of the game? I mean you are the part of the game by only help the other players (like a ghost), or do you have still chance to win? It wasn't clear to us. Thx in advance!
@@danielbergmann7451 Hi, i dont know if im responding too late. Anyway, when you die you lose all of your cards except your level, your race and your class. The cards you lost are given to the other players and you can keep on playing after drawing 4 + 4 cards from each deck... so you still have your winning chance!
There is a value amount on some of the items. You can combine any that you have to make 1000 and you go up a level. You can go up as many levels are you can buy however it can not go up to level 10. You have to beat a monster for that.

I was honestly just thinking what a cool looking board. The fact you made it with your family tugs at my heart strings. You should do a video on the different gaming surfaces out there.

first explanation of munchkin that was concise enough and made sense. kudos.
Still trying to figure out how to start a game. I’ve never seen a game come with instructions like this - I feel dyslexic.

Seriously
Does the 5 cards or less go into effect after the deal? What if I can't play anything after the first 8 are dealt? Do I discard 3 of them right away?
Great explanation. You explained it simply and concisely. Thanks!
Got xmen munchkin, seen multiple vids on how to play, seemed rdy, then I read the rulebook, now I'm overwhelmed...

havent played this in ages, this video really helped me out thanks mate
Omg thank you! Your video was so much easier than going through the instructions provided in the game.
This helped me so much. Keep up the great content!
Thank you so much! I was due for a simple refresher and this video was perfect.

And you sir just earned another sub! First video that I have seen that ACTUALLY f****** explains this awesome sounding game!!! Great job my man.
I have played all Munchkin games (therev are so many and every singel one is great) with all there “Dlc s“ and i love them
Thanks for the updated video!

Thank you so much😅 its been ages sence I played this and realized there were only 2 types of cards and got scared thinking I was missing stuff
So you must end your turn with 5 cards in your hand. But what’s stopping you placing those cards on the table on their side?
How many cards can you have side ways infront of you? Items only or 1 shots also? Does that mean a player can hold and infinite amount of items in front of them? (Deep pockets) im not speaking about the 5 cards in hand
So the cards with just a bonus but no gold value or armor denomination , how many of them can i have equipped at a time , like sword of song and dance
What if you get a curse, in phase 2 (looting the room) do you have to play it immediatley or keep it?
You can keep it to play it on another player.
Can I use helmets or boots and at the same time armour?
Νικος Καρατζας yes you can.
Hogwa5h Gaming thank u very much
Music at 0:52 ???? It doesn't appear to be either of the songs credited in your description.
I got it from a public Domain site, so didn't bother crediting it. "BTS Prolog" is what it was called.

if ı take a class or race card from kicking door what happens ?
It goes into your hand. (2:32)
Hogwa5h Gaming thanks buddy
If It is one kicking open the door you show everyone and you can either use it replace it or discard it/trade it
Whenever I play the game I always end up with like 10+ items cards in front of me, is that allowed or is there a max to how much cards you can have in front of you?
No thats the goal, using as much items as you can
Was just given this game for free so looked up videos for how to play it and I am OVERWHELMED
Too many rules and mechanics

Still don't get how to start the game😂

@noon blue apples if its not well designed why is it so popular
@@BanditLeader It literally isn't well designed. I hella like it, but it isn't. Kinda like those very popular series with the horrible writing...
Play it like you want. As long as you kick down the door, you can decide how to start the game.
Bruuuuuuh, I can't even start the game
Part 2 please if not done already 😜
The whole point of the game is kind of pointed out in the title...
Be the biggest Munchkin in the entire game.
thx well done
What was the app you were using
Munchkin Level Counter. it's not free, but there are a couple apps out there that are.
@@Hogwa5hGaming tks
Can you trade cards ?
Night Rage yes
You do not deal out four cards from each stack. You only deal two from each deck in the beginning.
Thanks, thia helped

Beautiful explained tho!
thanks the rule book is 2 long (munchkin oz)
Make a video about the backpack part of the game

Two from each deck, not 4
Not according to the official rules.
Why does he keep putting his phone onto the playing field? It's distracting.... and I don't know if it's part of game play or something.
