- I am breaking down the differences between the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Spoiler alert is that I am very excited to get my hands back on that rotating bezel.

Looking forward to your review. Still on my GW3 and insured for one more year, which means I could wait for the GW7.
I do feel that upgrading now is finally justifiable, but can't decide if I should get the 6 Classic or the 5 Pro, because well, it's a Pro.
I was hoping for a 6 Pro to make my decision easier, but we'll see once your review is up. Maybe the 6 is better than the 5 Pro or maybe the opposite 🤔
I think the only way you will see the 5 Pro being battery life and durability. I was never the biggest fan of how the 5 Pro looked. But if you need a true 2 days of battery life I don't see the 6 Classic competitive there
@@FitnessWithFrost I charge my gw3 every night, so I'm used to it. I too, was never a fan of the 5 Pro look. I only considered it because of the Pro status. Kinda like what Apple did with the ultra, but the 6 Classic looks both sporty and elegant.
@myfavoriteveganchannel I am right there with you. If you aren't bothered by the battery life or if you aren't an avid hiker or marathon athlete then I think the 6 would be the way to go

How's the battery life? It has a smaller battery than 5 pro so I'd assume you'll get less out of 6 classic?
Yeah the 5 pro will still be a 2 day battery life where the 6 will still be a little over a day most likely
Officially, the Watch 5 pro has a 80-hour battery life. I originally got 3 solid days of batter with AoD disabled. Now, I am only getting about 2.5 days with most recent update.
The Watch 6 Classic is reported to have 40 hours of battery with AoD disabled. (According to Samsung official)
@aubreybrackett7652 I really could only squeeze 2 days myself because I kept pretty much everything on other than the always display
@FitnessWithFrost Do you have the Wi-Fi, or LTE, version? My brother has the Wi-Fi only version, and his drops by 3-4% more per 12 hours than my LTE version.
I have the WiFi version and I've never had any issues. I can't speak to the LTE though
I just per ordered mine . Fyi you'll get a free cloth band with the regular band

I am trading in the 5 Pro. Really miss the bezel and will miss the Titanium version. Battery life will be determined by use mostly. I find the 5 Pro using GPS and music for a 90 minute exercise period, I have to charge every night. Exercise with GPS and music still destroys battery life, always belov 50% by end of day. If your exercise is under an hour with no music easily 2 days out of watch. They also did a complete changeover on watch bands with the 6. None of the dozen or so Barton Watch bands will work with the 6. Just really too bad that the 6 Classic was not a Titanium version.
Those Barton watch bands should still work with the 6. The only thing they changed is the way the band itself functions
@@FitnessWithFrost Good to know. Reviewers so far are glossing over it. Almost looks like a Garmin type connection. Wish one of the reviewers would slow down and compare the bands.

Lol it is an insentive to get more running in. If you want to get your vo2 max I think it's a 25 minute run
@@FitnessWithFrost with my knees I'm more likely to need the falls sensor and emergency call system if I try running.
Ouch. Totally understandable on that.. hopefully there could be a biking option
@FitnessWithFrost that might work. Or ac dance option I could use at home on the carpet for safety. I can do 25 minutes of dancing!
Looking at all the options, Samsung need to add vacuuming, ironing, tidying, washing dishes...

@FitnessWithFrost yes! The classic 6 47mm for me and regular 6 44mm for her :) I feel the classic is more for men and the regular 6 is for woman she likes the 6 more and I like the classic more

I don't know if I would go so far as to say useless. But it is annoying that things like that do have to be approved in every country
I wish they would have bumped up the storage to at least 32GB. I also wish they would make an Audible compatible app for it. That way, I am not tethered to my phone on runs.
Yeah I know what you mean. My hope here is that Wear OS will be more universal so more app makers are insentivized to make them compatible with it
To gain 1mm less thickness, the Watch 6 Classic 47mm apparently lost 1 day of battery 🔋 life compared to the Watch 5 Pro 🤔 , I don't think it was the best and smartest choice for Samsung to make.
The 5 Pro was a chunky boy. I do agree though I don't know why the battery was downgraded by so much. You feel like they can fit more in a 47mm body
@@FitnessWithFrost Surely to satisfy some media and youtubers (who in reality do not buy and do not use the Galaxy Watch) who found the Watch 5 Pro too thick.
I think for those the Galaxy Watch 41 and Classic 43mm exist 🤷🏽♂️
Samsung should have put the same battery capacity of the Watch 5 Pro in the large Watch 6 models.
@rolins3279 I definitely agree with you or at least bigger than the Regular Galaxy Watch 6. Battery will not effect my use case, but going backwards on battery life is just kinda frustrating
The 5 pro is a different product line. This is an upgrade direct to the watch 4 classic.
5 Pro is chunky and ugly
Very disappointed, from the Watch 6, it's only marketing, the processor is not new, it's the W 920 inflated by 10% engraved in 5 nm .... Why not to have put a Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 which is better and engraved in 4 nm?? The rotating crown returns to the classic Watch 6, but it was already on the classic Watch 4. The software side being only a normal evolution of 2023 which will be taken up on the Watch 5 and 4 in a few months. Virtually no change in battery capacity. Increasing the brightness will reduce the low power gain to zero. We are talking about watches at 450€ - 500€ which to have all their functionalities must be paired with a Samsung smartphone and some functions of which do not work in certain countries, see also the blood pressure measurement which must be calibrated every month by a real blood pressure monitor. Really disappointed, can't wait for the Watch 7 in February 2024.......
@aragonne50 I was really hoping Samsung was finally going to put it's exynos chips to bed as they seem to always underperform.
The watch 7 won't be available until August 2024. February is the release for the S24 series
