- We're taking a look at a villain that was teased to be part of the Batman Arkham series for a very long time, but unfortunately never appeared, Prometheus. I thought the idea of having Prometheus hunting you predator style was awesome.
For some reason as a kid, i would play Asylum and City and always hope to see Ratcatcher, Prometheus, and Killer Moth for some reason. I just had a fascination with these obscure characters (all from their bios) and wanted to see stuff from them. Prometheus as the main villain with Scarecrow really coulda been great
Same dude. These characters need to appear in ideally an Origins sequel, but honestly any new Arkham content.
Legit same 3 characters, killer moth and rat catcher both got treated so poorly tho, either killed off screen or in comics

@@TheCollectorCave Maxie Zeus, Prometheus, Killer Moth, Ratcatcher, Ventriloquist, etc. SO many underrated Batman villains that should have appeared. I really want an Origins sequel to show some of these characters. Prometheus or Killer Moth would be cool DLC characters in Suicide Squad.
This dude should have been in Arkham Knight. He’s so cool and even took down the league! He has so many options and ways you could design his boss fight!
Also wish Black Mask was in Season of Infamy.
Black Mask got a really short end of the stick in this series and it's unfortunate.
@@DegenerateJay he really did which is a shame because he’s one of the unique villains in Batman’s rouges gallery. Really wish he was the main baddie in Origins
It’s a bit of a shame because some of the characters in the side missions probably could have been cut to make room for Black Mask? Such as Pyg, Deacon, the excessive drone missions, etc
@@DegenerateJayThat is one of my main problems with the Arkham franchise. While I enjoy the Joker, he does not have to constantly be in the story to make it interesting, I was looking forward to seeing Black Mask get some love as the main villain but like Knight they had to include Joker in the story some way.

An origins sequel with prometheus and learning to work with robin to best him, with robin becoming nightwing at the end would be FIRE

@@thequestionable1413Let’s hope they finally create a sequel to Arkham Origins and Prometheus is in it, ideally as the main villain, or maybe we could have 2 main villains, with the other being Wraith.
They could team up to try to take over Gotham if they were to be outright villains, or they could just be more ruthless vigilantes and much more lethal in their enforcement and war on crime, thus meaning they’d be more like anti-heroes, that’s an extremely compelling idea because they want the same thing Batman does, but Batman would feel obliged to stop them or at least convince them to change their methods because of his no kill rule, which would obviously mean they’d be his enemies.
Though now that I think about it, Prometheus might want quite the opposite, he utterly hates police and the government and law system as a whole because of his childhood and origin, so maybe he’d best fill the role Ra’s Al Ghul did in Arkham City, that being an incredibly evil terrorist who will stop at absolutely nothing to achieve his goals, could be interesting to have to try to take him down while he’s blowing up police stations all across Gotham and just murdering police officers left, right, and centre just like he did in the comics.
That would have been a good way to justify his skills of being able to keep up with Batman. As well as using unmanned drones because he would have no clue how seriously stubborn Batman is about his no kill rule

I don't know if you've talked about it before but I'd love if you mentioned one of the biggest missed opportunities in Arkham Knight which was bringing back the Scarecrow Nightmare sequences. They did do something similar to it in some DLC challenge maps with Scarecrow but it still would have been nice for it to be in the story, probably during the time when you are fighting the Cloudburst.
shooting scarecrow with the batmobile in the challenge pack was lame and made no sense imo lol
But that really woudnt make any sense,it was stated in the game that the toxin is more dangerous and improved than the Asylum version of it,so Batman having a platform game nightmares wouldnt cut it

I always wanted to face this guy in Arkham, he seems like a bigger threat than Jason does and I still think he’d be good for a Arkham knight role someday
Prometheus was supposed to be in the season of infamy pack but was scrapped for whatever reason, idk why rocksteady didnt make a season of infamy 2 with 6 new villains never before seen like wtf. We could've gotten tweedle dee and tweedle dum, promethus, ratcatcher, the ventriloquist, humpty dumpty, and anarky returning back.
I really wish we could get another Arkham game with Prometheus as the villain. He's just so cool!

Prometheus has always been an interesting villain. Especially his way he nearly took down the justice league and fighters like Lady shiva.
But I also remember he got thrashed by Captain America in the JLA/Avengers issue 4 crossover.
Prometheus is basically the whole "what if batman used his preptime for evil" thing like Batman who laughs... but he did it first
Another character that was cut from Arkham Knight but unlike Prometheus actually had a lot of build up from the other games was Zsasz. There's a lot of references to him in the game as well as a glimpse of him when you are looking for Oracle in the camera footage and it's been known for years now that Danny Jacobs who voiced Zsasz in the games had already recorded for the character in Arkham Knight and you can find his dialogue online.
Shame he got cut from the final game. Wonder what his side mission would be.
I really dont get why he was scrapped,it really looks that they scrapped him like 5 months before release seeing how Zsasz had voice lines and bios.

Zsasz frustrated me a lot. I will definitely look more into it. I still think it was a missed opportunity that they told us it was him on the phone immediately in City. I thought that should have been something Batman figured out after a few calls, not just been told, and then it should have led to more appearances later.

They should have made Prometheus the arkham knight and also included Jason Todds story but have him as the Red Hood instead of being the arkham knight as everyone knew it was going to be him as soon as they announced this "new" character that was going to be in the game. Slso getting rid of 90% of the crappy tank battles and having proper boss fights would have made the game do mich better. I still enjoyed it but those things made it the worst of the rocksteadg trilogy. Was so looking forward to fighting deathstroke and firefly again as well as 2 face etc but no we got 100,000 tank battles instead
If Rocksteady added more suits i would like to see the Dell'Otto Batman 1000 comic cover variant as a suit in Arkham Knight
I'd also love to see the version of the suit from Batman 135 where he got a suit based off the Miller Batman, but had Adam West's belt.
Back in 2019 I actually made a little mockup concept for a list of villains that would be great for an Arkham game taking place after Knight with McGinnis or Damian as a protagonist. I think the list included Clock King, Crazy Quilt, King Tut, Mutant Leader, Kite Man, Prometheus, Killer Moth, Eraser, KGBeast, Atomic Skull, and Zodiac Master. I’ve always wanted the more obscure villains to have their time to shine

Hush shouldve had a bigger role in arkham knight so stupid how he was done, all the suspenseful build up in city just to destroy him in one move...

I think suicide squad could be the perfect chance to introduce Prometheus as an actual character in the games. Either as someone you work with, or preferably, as a playable character
I haven't played Origins through in a long while, but what if they kept the Arkham Knight as a deception to catch Batman off guard?
Might be silly or too hard to work in the canon, but Anarky could have been a more unexpected twist origin for him then Jason was, and maybe since no one had seen him, he's been training and learning. Follows Batman like Jason did, but discovers his identity, hears the St. Dumas "Prophecy" and decides to be the one to usher in the flames. Prometheus was a good name after all
I would have loved to see a side mission with him leaving clues for batman to eventually find him and a boss fight would be at the end of the side mission, which would be similar to the deathstroke boss fight in orgins, but before the boss fight happens batman would have to go through different areas within a building challanging each aspect of who batman is with him watching batman as it happens, and after the bossfight he would try to stand up but then fall down before he can punch batman.
There are more Arkham games coming. The first man to give Batman a beating at full health may make an appearance
Jay I would love to see a vid on your thoughts on Azrael. What you think about them making a DLC about him, a game, or just exploring the character more. I personally love the character and I would love to see a DLC of him taking down the Templar order thing mentioned in knight. Like at the end of the mission it allows you to be Azrael and choose Batman or the order. If you choose Batman, he says something like “the order must answer for what they’ve done to me”, and I find that very interesting. Would love to see a dlc or mission where you play as Azrael and take down the order.
I feel like Jason should have been found by Prometheus and "rescued" from Joker, and then be trained as an Anti-Robin called the Arkham Knight.
Midway through the game, you unmask him, and then Batman goes after Prometheus
I didn’t know he existed until I got the Arkham asylum riddler trophie bio 😊last month.
They coulda at least imo added his Prometheus's helmet to the GCPD trophy room with Aaron Cash giving a lil story about how it came here, like touching on how Bat's beat him by basically turning him into Stephen Hawkins
I'm not sure if this was ever a publicly released thing but it would be interesting to see what the plans were for the Spectacular Spidey show if it continued.
At this point, hopefully he’ll be added as a character to SSKTJL at some point. Or if Rocksteady decides to go through with that Batman Beyond/Damian Wayne game, that would be a great opportunity to use him too.
Gotta get more memberships to keep “T” as a regular DLC guest ;)

Knight whos only lore purpose is talking how hes going to kill him

Prometheus would’ve been such a great way to conclude the series. If not as the main villain taking the spot of Arkham Knight, he should’ve taken over the militia instead of Deathstroke.
In an alternate reality, Prometheus was in the Arkhamverse. I also hope an Arkhamverse reboot happens
They might not of been able to do Prometheus properly without detracting from the story or giving him a repetitive/unnecessary questline thats fulfilled by another AK villian like Professor Pyg or Deacon Blackfire.

I remembering saying "oh it's Jason..." from his first line in the helicopter. Super disappointing reveal. Would've loved if they had brought someone else more interesting. Paul Dini killed it writing Arkham city.
He could've been the 5th villain in Season of Infamy honestly. They dropped the ball with Prometheus and teased him all the back in Arkham Asylum.

Me Personally,I think that D.A.V.E should've the Main Villain of Arkham Knight cause it makes sense for him to make his Appearance after Hugo Strange's death as a Backup Plan.

Picture this, arkham city, you're running around and hou get punched in the face and knocked out, now we have a frame showing prometheus and his design, come aroham knight and he is the main villain with scarecrow, the arkham knight can be a smaller character that is still hired. Now batman has to fight his one true equal plus joker clawing away at what's left of his sanity as well as the misterious arkham knight who seems to know him

Despite Arkham knight being good, It isn't good with Villains and Boss fights.
Sounds like Arkhma Knight Axed a few side bosses, Zsasz, Prometheus, Black Mask and then the rushed others Deathstroke, Two Face, Hush, Bane all felt like studio interference
If I may say this, I believe Prometheus would’ve been the perfect choice to be the Arkham Knight compared to Jason Todd. Not to say I didn’t like the final product but if you kind of want a true anti-Batman character he would’ve definitely been it.

Prometheus is iconic in the comics? Huh. I wouldn't say so. I don't run into too many comic fans that really think much of him. He's had like two good stories, three maybe, then most of his career he was misused so much that they tried reconning those bad stories a few times which never really took. So I think he's seen as more of a mid-level villian that was a joke more often then not much more then being iconic to most people.
