This fix seems not to work with macOS Ventura and beyond unfortunately.
Thanks for the update!!! I found this article but I prefer to watch some videos about it before install...
this guy replies to each of his comments. keep it up 👍
You got it! Happy Trails
first time Mac user and not being able to control the brightness with the keys was driving mw nuts Thanks for the tip!
Glad I could help! It drove me nuts for a good while until I did a bunch of research on it. I use a logitech keyboard, so it's not perfectly programmed to a Mac.
Not working on Macos Sonoma, with a macbook pro M2-pro 16" and a 4K LG monitor. By the way, which is the bloody f14 and f15 key? I wish you woudl say that. Thanks anyway.
It seems this hasn't been updated for newer OS
can this utilize the macbook auto brightness features that use the camera?
No, this is just a manual work around for brightness on an external display before OS Monterey. Doesn't work with Monterey it seems.
Didn't work for me after a fresh install. I'm on Ventura 13.1 on an m1 MacBook pro. Did the permissions and everything, and oddly enough it shows brightness at the max setting, but when I toggle with the keys only goes down one "step" on the bar and stops. Anybody else have trouble with this?
I think this fix was invalidated with newer mac software unfortunately. I'll have to pin a comment on it.
thanks! it works
Glad it worked for you!
This is really good and simple
Yeah it's great as long as it works.
Unfortunately not working with mac os Sonoma
I think it was a limited time fix.
You're a hero thank you
Glad I could help!
amazing bro
Hope it worked for you. Mine stopped working when I updated the Mac.
Thanks!!
You bet!
Thank you so much!!!
You're welcome! I just wish this kept working throughout Mac's updates. :-/
you are GODDDD!!
Glad it helped!
Did nothing on mine :(
Unfortunately, this doesn't work with the latest Mac OS. Makes me sad.
@@KylersStudio I see. Thanks anyway.
@@martinmartensson4715 No problem. If you find a solution for it, I'd be happy to find out!
@@KylersStudio lol I see this after I install and failed at getting it to work. Maybe you could edit your description and say that next to the link so people don't waste time.
I had the same issue, but another app called Lunar worked for me.
