    Sauce Recipe:
    1/3 cup soy sauce
    1/4 cup rice vinegar
    1/3 cup sesame oil
***1/8 cup to 1/2 cup peanutbutter
    2 tablespoons chili paste
    2 tablespoons sugar
    Garlic and ginger to taste
    EDIT:
After reading the comments the recipe posted on the site has way too much peanutbutter

    for crispy tofu cubes:
    cut slices
    press between kitch towels
cut cubes and put in a bowl
    flavour however you want
add oil to the bowl to coat the cubes
add starch and stir until every cube has a thin layer of oil/starch batter
fry with a little bit of oil until super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside
The result is crispier and not as dried out as the crispy versions shown in the video.

UPDATE : it’s actually decent!! I sautéed some onions and bell peppers, added the tofu with a mixture sauce of honey garlic, zesty Italian and hot sauce + seasonings. Then I added some pasta and let it simmer. To be honest the tofu kinda tastes like nothing so Ill marinate it next time. I never realize just how versatile tofu can be, I’m glad I finally decided to Try it :) thanks!

You forgot to mention that not only does drying the tofu out make it cook better, it makes it so that it will soak up all that yummy marinade better. look at it like a sponge if you take a wet sponge and put it in a bowl of water it will not absorb the water. put a dry sponge in that water and it will soak it right up. the dryer the tofu the better the absorption. and the better the texture too

I'm not vegan (but I would like to be someday) but I LOVE tofu. I usually cut the tofu into logs, fry them, and then plop them in a baggy with Mr. Yoshida's Teriyaki sauce to make them flavorful, and while it probably isn't the best method it's still very flavorful and so delicious. From there I can put them in veggie wraps or sushi burritos. I'm definitely going to try a couple of these other methods out, thanks so much

Can you still do a 30 minute marinate before frying or would it only work with baking?

    • @pinchofyum

You could do the same with pan frying!

Marinating time depends on the size of the pieces to some degree, but it no doubt helps in both cases.

As they said, it comes completely unseasoned. Some sort of sauce or seasoning is recommended if you like your food to have taste, but not necessary
