There is something deeper here that they didn't quite get into. RECOGNITION (without wanting to get something in return) allows for dignity and humanity to shine. It is a simple exchange that transfers a feeling. Such a transfer of feeling could be described as love. (pure observance without want or need, no strings attached) Noting and recognizing milestones of accomplishment establishes a sense of dignity and purpose. (However ultimately the human experience is without purpose) For me it comes down to seeing the soul of the human being in every single child of this creation, even if they have forgotten how to be human or never understood it to begin with. I think Sadhguru is thinking is there are a lot of people who have not risen to the level of commanding respect, nor should there be some kind of manipulation of society that demands people "respect" one another for no good reason. With spiritual discipline it is possible to raise your quality of being and eventually transcend "wanting" and "needing" anything from others. This even goes so far as wanting and needing to get OR give. Your very presence lifts up those around you, (but you have no desire or addenda to lift anyone up) and you no longer need lifting up from others. However, that is a long journey of discipline and spiritual practice, and often begins with lifting up out of a lower quality of energy may initially take going through many stages. Self understanding is not a given for most and the folly of compassion with others can leave one feeling short changed by the creation. Therefore it is vital (in my opinion) to cultivate certain level of clarity regarding the fact that we all have an individual blooming order. Some are new to the game of reincarnating and some have been at it for a long while. Therefore each journey is not meant to be compared, and each individual has widely different experience and adventures awaiting, depending on their own personal level of evolution. One journey never better and another journey, they are all beautiful in their own ways.
I disagree. If I respect myself. It simply means... That I will not do something unhealthy to my well being. It means that I won't sell my soul for money. Yes, there are two minds at work within every human being. Your heart which governs love and empathy. The mind which governs logical things and unfortunately, money. 123 and ABC. Do you follow me? Sadguru is wrong about this. I wholeheartedly disagree. Peace.
That is the reason people have become ignorant of suffering of others. The society has became highly individualistic and egoist. As he always said that never look down on anybody and never look up to anybody. Simple then you would not demand respect.
@@rishikasinha5424 I believe that it is an insult to the greatness that is within all of creation to humble yourself into mediocrity. I am tired of people telling me not to be great. If you don't think much of yourself, fine. But that ain't me. My ego is what has kept me alive in this world. It helped me deal with all the clowns in this world. My better half doesn't have it in him to deal with clowns. Just my opinions.
