#JasonRichardson #LukeHolland #StudioUpdate
a lot of people give Jason shit because he's too "shreddy" but his note choices and phrasing are absolutely beautiful!
That, and the fact that you can never be too “shreddy”
Say you like the shreddy!
I'm surprised you don't call him a 'fake guitarist'.
@@WardenOfTerra wow hahaha destroyed
And i....oops
I can't wait to inevitably buy the tabs for this album and never be able to play them 😂
Literally have a folder on my computer titled "Tabs for songs i can never play" Lmao
@@gaijinsama2020 *turns on PC and renames Jason Richardson folder* 😂😂😂
Did that for the last one 😂
@@thelosthunter801 same lol
Same over here
7:29
It's the same part as in his cover for Zedd's Addicted to a Memory
I knew I recognized it!!!
Yeah!!
I knew he took inspiration from that song
@Kirk Horner if u take his cover, it's the part right before the drop..
the whole part is definitely heavily inspired by that since it follows the same patterns as the zedd song
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed it! :D
Jason Richardson I’m so ready for album number 2! You should go on Dean Lamb’s channel and do 4 levels of metal and show off your songs and see if Dean and his Wife Claire can play them! That would be cool!
Him and Luke are a force to be reckoned with
a dragon force
I love the part that he just randomly started shredding Through the fire and the flames at 1:55
Yeah mate😂😂
Wasn't that random imho, still a fun moment. ^_^
Roughly when can it be expected? Summer 2022?
Album will be out before the end of this year
@@JasonRichardsonGuitar YES! 🔥
@@JasonRichardsonGuitar You are an absolute animal. And I love you for what you bring to guitar-ing.
@@JasonRichardsonGuitar congrats dude, everyone knows its gonna be super sick, cant wait for the incoming shreds!
My body is ready!
*It's going to be another mindblowing album for sure.*
You know it’s gonna be a crazy album when Jason isn’t wearing a huge watch so he can increase the power to weight ratio of his left hand.
1:56 is the best part of the album, for sure
4:40 after 10 years, are we seeing a Behold come back? ❤
This stuff is just on another level god damn
This has quickly become my favourite series on yt
Same
Wow.. "Behold" licks. Missed that era.
it's literally "behold" though lol
4:42 Behold is come back
fan from thiland bro ❤️
Spent about 20 min looking for that lick, and noticed you said it. If it's in a BOO song, but he wrote it... How does that work?
@@Hoff11 he was at BOO a few years ago and wrote XIV and Behold. not only the guitar, but also the bass and drums. Its basically his own song.
Or what do you mean?
@@wernerderwerners yes exactly i just comment cuz i miss that solo from behold
And all credit to him
@@wernerderwerners he’s probably wondering if he is allowed to keep those songs and release them under his name even though they were released under Born of Osiris and under a different record label. Sometimes it’s hard to get your own material back under those circumstances but it must’ve been settled under the royalty dispute that went on
@@djandrewification This.
i love how he struggled to play BEHOLD solo. Reminds me of me. Used to shred Follow the signs solo when i was 18 now im 28 and can only play awesome rhythm and shred differently without speed as primary objective.
Can't wait to hear the album. Watch this studio updates and see Jason playing is really inspiring. He is defiantly on of the greatest guitar player of our time.
aside from his improvisation live 😂
Spelled DEFINITELY, not defiantly
@@myxos you are right. My bad.😅👍
@@ramivjudge Nobody is perfect.😅
@@ramivjudge Hey, it wouldn’t be fair for him to just outdo all other guitarists in literally everything, now, would it? Gotta be nerfed somehow
Loved your time in Golden State man, Good to see you display your other hobbies.
The melody lick at 6:00 is groovy af. Love it.
3:33 I thought he was playing Sevens by Guthrie Govan! That major7 sound is so godly.
Same here :D
@@vuha5000 🙂🙂🙂
Eveyone messes up on guitar. Esp if your learning new stuff or haven't played it in a while or it's extremely fast and has to be studio quality/shredding. He's really talented
We’ve all been waiting 5 years for this album but my god it’s going to be worth the wait!
every time he relays a riff I'm just like this is the one and he's like naw not it chief
Man watching your playing always puts a smile on my face :)
Loving Behold XIV added to this record. Ultimate "that's mine" flex.
That's an amazing song. But that's odd to me. BOO Doesn't have something to say about that?
@@Clammiest it's Jason's song. It was just added to the album.
@@aretardedcat Oh ok I got ya. Makes sense why it was the best song on the entire album 😂
@@Clammiest curious. do you think jasons songs are better than all of boo's? I never come back to Jason's album. I believe Cam help structure behold
@@TheSadistNat1on Well, for me it's hard to say cause I feel like boos best album was their first one (New or Eternal Reign). Their second was awful. The Discovery was pretty good, then after that it was all down hill. Just my opinion. But that still doesn't mean I think Jr's stuff is better. It's technically amazing and I'm blown away by it. But, I'm over it after like 2 or 3 songs and have to find something else. 🤷♂️ So it's honestly hard to answer that question.
Broooo we’re getting a redone XIV Behold?!?! Niiice
1:44 that’s Nick Jonas ‘s solo
Thanks for these, super cool to get a bts look at things
Mahn, recording an extremely detailed and technical album like this has to be difficult via all the parts you have to have so well memorized and integrated into your muscle memory, ahnd then nail the very the best you can in a stressful recording situation. Richardson has such a chill personality that I think that hehlps with the stress, and balances out how serious he takes his music and musicianship.
1:55 dragonforce? haha
J.R. is badass! Plain and simple! 🤘🎸
So cool
Could you imagine if he and Petrucci made an album together?
He played track called Poomba on the demo for the 6 string JR, and I am beyond stoked for that one in particular
7:00 I love that one! 😎 That lick shall be called the "That's gonna be not fun at all live..." lick.
When ALL THAT REMAINS decide to make another album.
I'm really curious how he would write the solos. Both Oli & Jason are legendary guitarists.
🤍R.I.P Oli Herbert.🤍
Is it still coming out before the end of the year?
I seriously thought he was going to release it on December 31 LMAO 💔
6:35 is the ending melody from Zedd - addicted to a melody
Sounds amazing! Everything does!
Can't wait to get this album too on my hands with any sort of merch you have!
Ye, he has a cover of it that he posted long ago?
@@havardstre4269 Yeah! He has that cover but in this studio update you can hear that he improved it by far. I'm excited to listen to the final result.
Wow....'Addicted to a memory'....love it...5:32...🤟
The thing with the anti shredder is that they dont understand what the shredder does - and they are a bit envious because they cant play it by themselves and dont andestand the tools. Jason, you are my new favourite musical act.
5:54 That’s really sick.
Yes
5:31 is the same part what jason played for zedd cover song
I feel better witnessing him make mistakes. Now I know he’s not a drone.
5:25
Addicted to a memory?😍
That's what I thought, too! :-D
Definitely, licks came from that cover video.
I feel my muscle tensed up just by looking at him play.
@2:45 ...lets keep that rollin'!
Let's gooooo
lmfao if anyone is saying Jason is too 'shreddy'. He's the most melodic and gifted player we've had since Jason Becker.
jealousy.
1:54 Through the Chugs and the Djent
Excelente
Man you got to learn to play faster 🙄
There were definitely some Discovery BoO riffs in there. I wonder if he wrote them and is taking them back on this album haha
Yes, exactly that is what happened
Still waiting for the documentary 🥺
Behold 🔥🔥🔥
ready to hear the new BEHOLD
Stoked to hear this follow-up album. Thanks for posting these teaser videos. Always entertaining and great playing
Ok but hear me out… Jason Richardson, Charles Caswell and Lucas Man should team up for a track, I’m just sayin….
Lucas and Jason together would fucking slap
watching this again, did anyone realize the intro from Upside Down is the same intro for this except for the guitar.
Jaw meet floor
Got your pops in the studio, that awesome
Jason Richardson si a monster = no fret wrap
I knew you were the mastermind behind that BOO Song 😄 This way the recording/song is yours again? So looking forward to this album 🤘
When's the album coming out?
Not to make a competition out of it, but I am really wondering if Jason, John Petrucci and Tosin would be able to play each others stuff. (considering to make this pick only because of Tosins thumbing, which both Jason and John can't do I guess)
1:54 JasonForce! More pls
So hyped!
O cara aí é brabo em se tá doido
Dang
addicted to memory solo vibes
5:14 it's like kissing the shadow - children of bodom
Seeing Jason play literally anything makes me want to give up on life lmao. Stoked for the album.
i play guitar 10 years and i never will be like jason((((
Man this music is hard...constantly on the edge.
Do not watch this on 1.25 speed unless you want to experience an aneurism
I am sou fluckin' pumped for this jagank!
fuuck! cant wait for the album!
Zedd - "Addicted to a Memory" inspired Jason? ;)
through the fire and flames hahaha
Watched the first 8:30 thinking "hm, looks like Jason is finally out there on his own without his Dad for once" then 8:43 "who's that?!". Seriously though it's great that Jason is tight with his family, it's rare to actually see that being shared from hugely successful musicians.
Seems even more technical than the last one. Damn
WHY IS NO ONE MENTIONING THE XIV guitar stuff from when he was in born of Osiris!?! 4:41 this album is going to be killer
It's actually mentioned here a couple of times before we did lol can't wait to hear Behold XIV 10 years later ❤
Thank you Jason & Luke, Y'all are killin it and making many smile:)
2:46 - 2:50 is the only part of this album I’ll ever be able to play
@lukeholland is sick
What is that song on 2:27 pls ??
People who say stupid things like “Too Shreddy” are just exposing themselves as “jealous” and “less talented”.
Thank you for your hard work to achieve this amazing guitar solo, and perhaps no one else will be able to follow along perfectly. you are awesome.
Yes dude. Been anxiously waiting on this 👀👀
This album + the new Polyphia one … we are lucky to have so much good music. 🤘
album 4 is a myth, it’s never coming out.
@@ripit.3457 sadly this joined the same ranks :/
If you have any time, I recently found a video of you at approximately 16 years old playing the arpeggios from Glass Prison by Dream Theater, I (and I'm sure many others) would love to see you do it now.
4:08 Guthrie Godvan type tapping
how funny he played the intro of through the fire and flames
Zed inspiration
3:07 My dude just checked his volume and pickup selector like 7 times in a row before the song started, lol.
Just glad to know I can expand my playing even further by observing Jason and his style. Of course I struggled and what I noticed that Jason possess inhuman processing speed. For example he can string skip so fast then move to sweep picking then alt picking and then repeat in any order . Needs a lot of muscle memory too. Thanks Jason..your playing woke me up from the normal boring stuff
It's one thing to make good music, it's a whole other thing to just shit all over the fretboard and make incomprehensible sounds which is what you do.
I hear some zedd riffage
This will, without a doubt, be one of the albums of all time
Gasuade mama 😄💕
