      I work as a teacher with children between 5-12 (I have also worked with smaller children in kindergarten) and have been reported and scolded by parents because I stepped in and spoke up when their children bullied, kicked and hit other children. The ironic thing is that the same idiot parents would also scold me and report me if I didn't speak up and step in if instead it was their crap kid who was victimized in the same way by other people's children. They believe that rules only apply to other children, not their own and are shocked to learn that the same rules and boundaries apply to their brats as well.

      Not only this is a fiction, it is a fever dream of someone with serious anger issues, exacerbating issues around them to grotesque state, all to justify their anger. Seriously, I love Bill, but this movie is simply him jerking off to his self-absolving fetish. Literally everyone around him is obnoxious and only he is the reasonable one lol. No wonder movie flopped, am sure even Bill is embarrassed by it now.

    Putting aside the awful mom (like seriously, she is not fit to have a child in the first place), the guy had also no reason to snap at the well meaning neighbour. Reminding someone to disinfect a wound (especially after you put dirt on it) is not entitled Twitter bullshit, it's basic common sense. A calm 'okay thanks' or 'yeah, i know' would have ended that conversation right then and there.

    I have worked as a teacher for many years with children between 5-12 (I have also worked with smaller children in kindergarten). And many parents are unfortunately the same as that mother in this scene. Horrible.
    Those kind of parents excuse any behavior from their own kids, blaming that their kids must be allowed to be who they are, must be allowed to express themselves and it is always someone else's fault. Parents who when they are told that their son abused a younger child excuse it and try to blame it on the younger little kid who was beaten and bullied.
    A parent called my home and yelled at me on the phone one night after the parent's kid had kicked another kid in the head. (Claimed that the kid said it didn't happen and when I then pointed out that I had actually been there and seen exactly what happened she went berserk and screamed "are you calling my kid a fucking liar?!")
    I have even seen parents who defended that their 10 year-old brat got a tantrum and pulled out his penis and pissed on things indoors because he didn't get what he wanted.
    I have even been reported and scolded by parents because I stepped in and spoke up when their children bullied, kicked and hit other children.
    The ironic thing is that the same idiot parents would also scold me and report me if I didn't speak up and step in if instead it was their crap kid who was victimized in the same way by other people's children. The 1st dad and the brunette mom both really suck here. Two sides of the same coin. One is too caught up in making sure his kid is tough and the other is letting their kid get away with everything. It is okay to clean your kids cuts and comfort them when they are hurt. It isn't okay to let them run around hurting others and being cruel.
    The one kid will grow to be a sociopath and the other will be afraid to show any weakness/feel ashamed of being perceived as weak.

    • @MarissaDawnHall
      @MarissaDawnHall 3 місяці тому

      That 100 percent is not gentle parenting because with gentle parenting you talk to your child and everything around you that it’s not ok to hit someone with a stick and when you talk to everyone you don’t act like everyone else is the problem when your child is the problem because there is another scene when Colin head butts his pregnant aunt and his mom acts like her sister is the problem and not her child and he continues to hit her in she stomach and the mom had to have some issues with everyone including her sister to be that abusive to her own family and not see her parenting, and her child is the problem I have seen that parenting first hand and with kids , grandchildren and people who don’t have kids who think it’s ok talk down to when they or someone involved with that person is being abusive and then those people wonder why people don’t want to be around them or why the children get arrested it’s because they didn’t try to disciplined a child. The way they may be displayed and spanking isn’t disciplining that can get CPS called on you for abuse if the child says it happens or if the child has too many bruises because sometimes people take stuff like that too far when disciplines are child because they’re also being abusive
