Absolutely made up for you mate, that was one of the best and most genuine reactions. Thats exactly what its like finding a gold coin - the shaking, the disbelief, the goosebumps. Amazing! Finding Celtic gold is something I am yet to achieve, and probably never will in Derbyshire. Those dance moves were somethin else 😂😂😂😂😂
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire thank you buddy, it was a feeling that lasted for several days and continues every time I pick it up to look at!
You’ll have to get onto a group dig down South for your opportunity to get one 😁

Well played young Crosby!! Those were great finds today!! That hammered started the ball rolling and then to get that stator…..magic. You do right to dance and then after the ‘rush’ to get on to the next. That gold moment is something special. Here’s to more in the future.

@@Tseringlhatso thank you mate, appreciate it!
Great video… I have subscribed as I enjoyed that. A stater is on my bucket list, but had plenty of gold over the years including gold hammered…. The feeling never changes, that buzz, that trembling, that checking 8 times that it’s in the coin pod in the zipped up pocket in the finds bag! Great stuff 💪👍
@@diggerdaz279 thank you for the sub mate and welcome! You have summed that up absolutely perfectly.
Oh congrats on your gold finds! What was the hammered? 👀😳

@@robertnewcombe284 thanks Robert, appreciate the comment mate. It was a cracking day!
Congratulations! If I were you, I'd check the area thoroughly in case there are more there. I have been detecting for 44 years and never found a Gold
Stater. What a great day and a great gold dance!
@@andypike53 cheers Andy, I had another brief sweep around the area with my dad the day after. Had 2 Eddie hammereds up! Can’t wait to get back out there though! In your experience, do you think there would be more?
@CrosbyCollects who knows? But it does look very good condition so there could be.
In 1986, a friend and me had the good fortune of 16 gold roman solidii. Three years later, I found four more in the area after the field had been ploughed, making 20 all together. So you never know, there might be more to find. The ground is very dry at the moment, so it might be worth coming back in the winter when the ground is wet so that your detector signal penetrates the ground more . Happy hunting. 😊
@@andypike53 oh wow I bet that was a heart stopping moment when you found them! I would love the farmer to plough this one but I don’t think it’s been ploughed for a good few years and is unlikely to in the future. Thanks for your knowledge!
Another excellent video, you are very personable and your content is great. Well done on the stater, much deserved.
@@gerardmcdonnell4569 thank you mate, that’s really nice of you to say. I try to be as humble / entertaining as I can, all while talking to myself in a field! 😂 thanks again and glad you’re enjoying the content! - Jake 😁

Great find mate. Still waiting for my first gold.
@@JimmyTheJockDetects thanks jimmy! You have to manifest it and it will come, good luck to you mate!
Congratulations! What else is in your field of dreams a lot of the good stuff is shallow as well.
I’ve had the manticore 17 months now. I dig iffy signals on good fields like yours and have pulled up deep silver, gold and relics, deep targets can sound like iron mixed with a hint of good tones.
@@sphagnummoss-sn1et ah that’s good to know mate, I have found on ploughed fields mine seems to iron-false a fair bit! Perhaps I should start digging these iron targets!
Yes sir a field like that is always worth going back on with a 15” coil, low conductors, recovery 4 or 5.
Great work with your channel, good content and thoughtfully edited 👍
@@sphagnummoss-sn1et cheers for the advice mate, always appreciated. I plan on going back this weekend so will definitely put some of these settings into use!
Well done I found gold sovereign stater I would like 😊

Co op milk token I think mate. Congrats on the stater.
@@tomcox5548 cheers Tom, I thought as much it would be some sort of token! 👍🏽😁
42.28 is a medieval heraldic pendant.
