Thanks for the feedback! I used to get pad drag on rotors all the time on my RSV4 so I saw how Moss mounted his calipers and it helped. Didn’t eliminate the issue but it got better. As far as a valve adjustment, I think that’s a good idea. I’ll just have to bleep a lot of the audio because that’s not fun job for me.
I have Tuono 660 and find you videos really helpful. I plan on doing this kind of maintenance by myself, my only problem is not having a bench and storing my bike in common building garage :)
Glad to hear the videos help! Maybe a rolling tool box could help in that situation. You’ll have to plan your project carefully but you should be able to do most modifications in a day so you don’t have parts all over the place.
Parabéns pelo vídeo um salve do Brasil 👏😉 Eu coloquei a pastilha wrp no freio traseiro na minha z750 estou percebendo que está desgastado muito o disco a sua está normal ?
Thanks for watching! My disc seems to be wearing at a normal rate but it's my understanding is that aggressive race pads can potentially cause earlier wear on discs. Which makes sense because the pad material needs to be abrasive in order to increase braking performance.
good stuff. what fluid are you going to run? one thing i’ll do (because i cry a little inside when i scratch my bike) is put some painters tape on the wheel to help avoid the caliper scratching it. then when you pull the caliper off, angle it out and it will spread the pads a little via the rotor and also give you an angle to hopefully avoid rim scratches. also, that bike stand is wild! 😂
Thanks! Painters tape? Ain’t nobody got time for dat! It’s a good idea if you’re not in a hurry though. I’ll be running Castrol SRF. It’s spendy but it seems to work better than what I’ve tried so far.
That what I just got, waiting on them. Just had my Brembo 18-20 rcs master cylinder, braided lines and current ebc pads. So far so good, but I was changing to a softer compound pirelli and I thought let’s try something different. Git the same ones you did. Going on a 21 gsxr600, can’t wait. But the bite already is crazy good
I had a gsxr 750 and the brakes were always a weak point on that bike so good call with the upgrades. So far, I’m super impressed with these pads. They don’t have a super aggressive bite which I prefer and they do do well and feel consistent on all temps.
It almost looks like you could change the pads without removing the caliper if you use the second method? Maybe im mistaking. Thanks for the RS 660 content 👊👊
Thanks for watching! They’re Armour Bodies. I bought them from Woodcraft CFM in the US but I’m sure you can find them elsewhere. The oem seat fits nicely. They have an option for a fiberglass seat pan if you prefer that.
Those vents are from Strauss. They made killer carbon components but I don’t even know if they’re in business anymore. To be honest, I don’t think they’re necessary. Even for racing but if you want to get some anyway, I believe there are a couple of manufacturers who make them now.
SkwidVids, man if I use the bike both street and track which breakpads do you recommend, beside this WRP maybe a three or four options if its possible (street agressive, on track trying to get better lap time but with out modifications)
If you’re looking to get the WRP brand, the Sinter (not dual sinter) is the better option for street use. OEM pads are actually pretty good but I ride in high temperatures so I needed a pad that could offer good performance at those high temps.
I don’t recall the part number. I just went to the Moto-d website. I left the rear stock. I don’t think my right foot is sensitive enough to notice the difference between pads.
After your first race, did you experience any fading or overheating on the brakes? Are your rotors and brake fluid the stock ones? Last track day my brakes where fading and overheating.
I didn’t experience any fade. Or, at least not enough to be concerned about. My rotors aren’t stock but that wouldn’t make much of a difference. The biggest difference in heat dissipation are the pads and fluid choice.
Hey bro! I'm looking to get a better rear rotor. Do know any companies that make lighter rotors for out bike? I winded up messing up my rear rotors. So instead of replacing with OEM. I figured why not try to get a better rear rotor if they make it. Well at least a lighter one. thanks
You can get a lightweight rotor from Norton Motorsports. There’s less rotor material so you’ll have to press harder on the brake lever compared to oem. Which also makes it harder to accidentally lock the rear wheel. And the rotor looks cool which is a bonus.
That’s an interesting question because it’s not one that can be answered with a simple yes or no without needing more context. It’s all about perspective and preference. Considering it’s a parallel twin and not an an-inline 4, I’m impressed with the power.
They’re actually pretty great! They’ve held up really well in the high heat and under race conditions. Felt really consistent throughout my races. I’d buy them again.
It’s called an ABBA Skylift. It’s great if you have a garage and you wrench a lot but it’s too heavy to transport so you can’t use it as a lift for track days or racing.
8:57 - my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
The bike being mid-wheelie the whole time made me real happy. I love this!
Thanks! It’s the only why my front wheel will ever be in the air for longer then a couple of seconds.
Nice vid and I liked the Dave Moss technique. Thanks for the tip. There is one video I’d love to see you do one day and that is valve adjustment!

You are spending a lot of money on your motorcycle 😂 Great job once again! The Dave Moss method is as precise as it gets.
Thank you, sir! Yeah, the DM method helped when I was getting pad drag.
Another excellent torquing video. Looking forward to the brembo rcs upgrade video next 😂😂
Thanks dude! We’ll see if the RCS is needed after round one. Sure would look nice though.
Me leaving comment to help your ranking : )
Ha! Thank you.

@@skwidvids 🤣
It was very helpful, thank you very much
Thanks for the feedback! Glad it helped.
Great video! Do you also squeeze the brake lever like you did with the other side to even it out?
Thank you! Yep, you squeeze the lever until pressure returns to the lever, then you tighten the caliper bolts. You do that on both sides.
Quick question, what central stand do you use? Looks pretty neat

hello there from Switzerland, where did you find your fairing? Looks nice, specially the tail section using the OEM seat looks really well.

Just like his beard, this man's videos are immaculate
Thanks, Gavin!
where did u get thoe front brake vents? im getting a tuono 660 next year and im looking for mods to make it a daily commute bike and trtackbike

@@skwidvids oh ok, do u have any reccomended manufacturers? Ive considert just getting the vents for the rsv4 and improvise

Which part number did you get for the WRP pads on the 660 and did you use WRP on your rear as well?
I don’t recall the part number. I just went to the Moto-d website. I left the rear stock. I don’t think my right foot is sensitive enough to notice the difference between pads.

Thanks a lot bro! I want that lighter rotor and titanium bolts but in gold color. Man you just gave me another reason to spend more money lol. 💪🏻
Great work, very informative!
Thanks!
I'm in the market to get new bike and I want this one. Just one question...does it have enough power?
That’s an interesting question because it’s not one that can be answered with a simple yes or no without needing more context. It’s all about perspective and preference. Considering it’s a parallel twin and not an an-inline 4, I’m impressed with the power.
I'd love to know what you thought of those pads after they'd bedded-in.
They’re actually pretty great! They’ve held up really well in the high heat and under race conditions. Felt really consistent throughout my races. I’d buy them again.
The brake line is steel originally?
It is. The only reason I replaced mine was to remove the ABS line.
What torque wrench it’s that
It’s a Quinn digital.
Love!!
Thanks, Kee!
What are you using to keep the bike up?
Abba Skylift
How is the motorcycle at that angle? What are you using to lift it?
It’s called an ABBA Skylift. It’s great if you have a garage and you wrench a lot but it’s too heavy to transport so you can’t use it as a lift for track days or racing.
Your videos have everything! Information/insight, humor and (most importantly) sex appeal. 😘
Perfect, that’s what I’m shooting for! Especially the last part. 😉
