    You are so calm showing all of us you magic, you fill in the negative spaces with more inks, if it is out of sink, you know what to do and you seem to do it all very spontaneous without following a precise pattern. But more of how you feel it at the time you are making them. 😍🤩🤩

    This is SO gorgeous! This video was the definition of "trust the process" as I really had no idea what was even the actual outcome you were looking for, but I adore this! I saw one of your instagram shorts on Facebook this morning, and I've never run to UA-cam to follow someone so quickly before. Some of your pendant pieces are out of this world. (No pun intended.. but funny that they DID look like galaxies! 🤣) I've never seen someone make mica powder alcohol ink, so I came here for that, stayed for everything else (too)! Again, absolutely love this piece.. now I need this mold.. I probably have 300 molds, but not this one.. of course. 😅

      @@daniel..cooper How did you warm up the resin

    • @fairyspunfibers9098
      @fairyspunfibers9098 2 роки тому

      2 part resin warms itself up by the chemo-thermic reaction that begins when the 2 parts are mixed. This heating process begins the hardening process.

    • @fairyspunfibers9098
      @fairyspunfibers9098 2 роки тому

      @Rhonda Ziara, it isn't the thickness of the resin...it's letting it warm up after being mixed! The warmth means it's beginning the curing process.

    • @fairyspunfibers9098
      @fairyspunfibers9098 2 роки тому

      @Rhonda Ziara @Kay Anderson
      Realized I forgot to tag you when replying! All two-part resins thicken because of the exothermic action which takes place. This is the chemical reaction which causes all resins to go from liquid to a solid. So, there is no need to buy "thicker" resin (except for special purpose use). It thickens on its own as the curing process begins. HTH!

    This video has definitely give me the confidence I needed to try this method. I've been wanting to try for ages and as I now have let's resin coaster mould set with storage container I've got to give it a go. Plus I have leaf moulds coming for the storage stacker for the sides and I'm going for a easy starter sunflower's so stacker will be clear with leaves around the sides then flower at base then just flowers in coasters. Wish me luck might make my first video even if it goes wrong it will help others learn to plus we need more UK resin artists doing there thing . Top man keep up the good work 👌🫶👌

Prevents blobs,and makes the whole thing very etherial. Sandra Rittich has been doing a lot of these, but she sometimes makes little bouquets with green leaves with them. Very cool!

    Hi David. I loved this video. I have very little experience with resin. What is a “flash cure”? I know what viscosity means, but I don’t understand how that relates to resin projects, cure times and so on. Is there a particular video I should watch ? Or a book you could recommend? Thanks

    • @daniel..cooper
      @daniel..cooper  Рік тому

      Hi Nettie not sure who this David is? 😉😂. Do a Google search on 'Resin Flash Cure' it's due to mixing too much resin at once. Resin cures faster if mixed beyond its recommended pour depth, thus creating heat too fast resulting in a very hot mix which will cure in a matter of minutes. Even experienced users have had this during the learning process, it's very scary.
