I know I'm small potatoes. I can't play the piano with my left hand after minor stroke but I sit down at a piano in nursing home I live in. And music is such a good therapy. Thank you Jackson for giving all your energy to enriching our lives. I really enjoyed learning more about you I wish I'd been more of a fan all these years

I love how he never looks like he unpacks after a tour. Guitars everywhere. The only artist I've seen more than once. Gets better every time.

In 1966 me and my friends used to go to a coffee house called the Paradox in Orange, CA to see and perform with a hypnotist named George Sharp. His act followed the opening act who was this kid named Jackson Browne. Eventually we lost interest in the hypnotist and went mainly to see Jackson. I believe this was before he relocated to Echo Park and may have been in his last year of high school. At that time he was outstanding and had groupies in the audience who preferred Jackson over me and my pal. His act was all acoustic at that time. He had no band, but a famous band hung out against the back wall, I think it was The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, which it was rumored at the time to have been Jackson's first band, but that was the rumor, back then; me and my pal knew he would make it someday; he was just incredible and at 18 his voice was like that of the archangel Michael, sounding of pure gold. Jackson Browne, if you read this, congradulations big-time from me, a fan for 50 years.

He was in fact a member of the NGDB briefly! Mid 60’d I believe. They also recorded a couple of his songs. There is a photo out there of them together- Jackson in a scally cap in the background! I’m friends with a man (now in his 80’s I believe) who was the sound guy at The Paradox back then. I pick his brain for JB stories from time to time! If you listen to Jackson’s song, “the Barricades of Heaven” from 1996, he mentions the Paradox!! Thanks for your post ☺️🙏

i appreciate that she is allowing Jackson to speak his mind and elaborate on the associations and the human experience because composing and fitting pieces together in creating songs and other art forms is a unique and personal process. He has patience and it's a long process or a quick process. I prefer to hear the Artist be himself as opposed to interviewers who try to fit an interview into some Angle of a story. Especially love the
common characters we share in life.his sharing is a gift 2 us

Everything he writes is outstanding! Some songs are better than others but whatever he decides to record is great with me!

Jackson is so gracious and down to earth...yet 'heavenly' at the same time. This interview is a breath of fresh air! I can relate to every word that comes out of this man's mouth...he is so awesome, but I think he is a little too humble to agree with me (which makes him even more AWESOME!)

Funny how he describes The Pretender. I always pictured downtown LA, though I'd only been there a handful of times. I have been in love with him since I was sixteen/seventeen. Such a brilliant musician.

Sharon Waxman was not at all interested in interviewing Jackson...there was no
energy on her part and obviously no background work done prior where she could
have asked more poignant questions based on his long musical history. Very lame.

Can't connect with any song lyric as well as I can with Jackson's songs.. I grew up in El Monte, not far from Jackson's neiborhood, and I know the echos of the Good Humour Truck coming down the street, where I was raised... it is our responsibility to keep those memories, although simple, the are what created our values, and we pass down to our kids..

in 08 he looked old, now he looks better. Hope he never releases new stuff if it is any less than I`m alive. I would rather have him tour europe every year then release mediocre stuff like time the conquerer. would love 3 or 4 more live acoustic cds!

He wasn't charged...JFK, Jr said she was a liar when asked about it. The Santa Monica police refused to charge him, and both were already stars.

He's 64 here. C'mon - get real. He must be lying about his birth year. Realistically, I'd say MAYBE in his mid to late 40s here. So either the interview year is off or his birth-year is off. One or the other - nothing else. No other option. That's it.

He said “or” not “are” in that sentence. He didn’t say what you think you heard.
