nice video Dan.I'm all the way down in New Zealand and enjoy seeing sights of America I'd never see otherwise. Used to drive trucks in England and Europe in the 70's and 80's so a long time ago.Am subscribed so I guess I'm one of the 5000.say hello to Teresa and all the animals and keep safe.☺☺☺☺
Congratulations on 5,000 subscribers. Just think, without me you would only have 4,999, LoL. I love hearing shifting gears & love to see Cali out running free or going for walks. When you call her, every times have a piece of dog food in your hand so she had a reason to come to you, and that will really train her so you don't have to call her twice. Also one of those extendable leashes would be nice, they ratchet out and ratchet in.
I follow u and a reefer driver who uses a head cam so he's hands free. It shows him fueling, unloading, walking into restaurants, talking to DOT or whoever, backing up, docking, loading, and driving. He doesn't use it all the time but it gives us a view of what he's seeing and like I said, keeps his hands free to work. It's like wearing a headlamp on ur head but he's videoing. JBG is his handle. He drives for AIG out of Maryland. Nice guy. You mentioned u didn't know what else to do as far as videoing goes and u didn't wanna bore us. This could be an option if ur not self conscious about wearing a camera on ur head. Doesn't bother JGB (Johnny Be Good). He's got 27k subscribers. He comes out with a video everyday. I really enjoy ur videos though ranking u number one. Ur editing is great. Flat-bedding rules and it ain't easy or for everyone. Not a lot of truckers can climb on a flatbed like u do!
I'm a fellow trucker out of Ontario Canada. I don't do OTR anymore, I do linehaul for FedEx (home daily). Your videos help me remember the old life that i loved so much. Anyway, I realized that I hadn't subbed, I took care of that. Keep up the great work.
great job on the video super trucker Dan enjoy it until next be safe out there on your adventure from Paris Texas God bless you and thank you for keeping American
Those 2 rest areas were nice! Oklahoma did a real nice job fur sure. Man i love that skyline in New Mexico. Congrats on your 5000 Dan👍 Yeaaah i know, "Thanks For Watching"!
Congrats Big Dan. You deserve more than the 5k subs you got. Great job and keep doing what you do coz some of us will keep coming back because of your content.
Congratulations on the 5K! Having brake clutch issues? I'm 7 days from pulling the trigger on O/O. (Lease to Own). I'm thrilled and apprehensive! Here we go!
FYI dog parks are not that great. Lots of dogs do their business and spread diseases among other dogs, just thought i share that with you. I enjoy the videos you are the only one i enjoy so far. Would like to see more of the working side of your job it can be very educational for the young guys wanting to learn. You do a great job keep up the good work. Mercer is lucky to have a guy like you hauling for them.
i remember when taking US-287 from Amarillo to Dallas/Ft. Worth, they always had large rest areas on that route, i use to stay in em, more than truck stops.
whoa, they filled in all the big holes at that TA. you had to be careful at night, some of those holes seemed to take a whole semi, if you weren't careful. :)
Im enjoying the videos man. keep it up. not telling you how to do your videos but you should show a little more driving on the highways. i enjoy seeing it. be safe driver
#16513 just passed you Dan going thru weatherford, ok yellow freightliner headed to Arizona...safe travels maybe well run into you one day my husbands watches your videos all the time
+Bobbie Calvert I don't think that was me. I'm up on i40. there was another white Mercer truck that loaded the same thing Stay safe Thanks for watching
🇺🇸 Don't tell Dan this, little does he know that Four years from now, in or around the month of September 2021, He's going to buy a 2002 stretched Peterbilt with a 136" Super Sleeper rig that will have a Kubota 7,500w APU, RV sized A/C unit, Shower, Toilet, kitchenette with sink, Refrigerator, Full size bed and he will upgrade the TV to a flat screen and tear out the linen closet and install a nice little granite table top for a small business office space. Almost forgot, the Pete has a 550Hp Cat engine (straight piped) an 18 speed gearbox and a 320" wheelbase, or somewhere close to that, and will be a really nice "Burnt Orange-ish" color!!!.🤫🤭🤣👍 P.S....Dan still has his Other Pete but isn't ready to sell it... 😂
Wow I was there in 2006 working on the first Transformers movie, inside the Air Base and the White Sands, there's a nice old town up in the mountains in Alamogordo, and if you drive through Las Vegas NM, I was there in 1981 filming Red Dawn..just sayin..
It's was like you read my mind. I was thinking, Why the hell would he go through Clovis and Mule Shoe TX?Maybe it's better for trucks, but for us 4 wheelers, those small town TX cops are brutal. I've driven that route man times. I-40 is defiantly the better choice. You have to try and eat the 72oz steak there in Amarillo at The Big Texan Steak Ranch.
Hi Dan , if you use the weather app you can see how big that cloud is with the satellite view. Safe trucking to you. 5000 views, I have seen all of your posts. Good job.
Do you think the engine noise and turbo whine hurt your dog's hearing since they are so sensitive to sound? I've always wondered this about pets in trucks.
Does NM still require you to buy so many gallons of fuel when you pass through? When you were laying out your route I was wondering why you were going over to Roswell? I haven't been through Santa Rosa in years, I try to stay off the interstates these days.
how often do you stop during the day? do you split up your time into 3-4 shifts with 15-20 minute breaks in between? i'm about to get on the road myself. great videos!
Sam O The wieght differnce between a 18 and a 13 is no different, a 18,spd is just a glorified 13 with deep reduction, you rarely split the bottom side except when your loaded heavy.
IndianaJack is very good too. Check him out. Like yourself he's a great editor with his vlogs. He's an owner operator driving a Volvo he calls Old Red.

us-54 in NM is a good road, my companies always sent me on that route going east or west if i didn't have to fuel further west on i-40.
It's was like you read my mind. I was thinking, Why the hell would he go through Clovis and Mule Shoe TX?Maybe it's better for trucks, but for us 4 wheelers, those small town TX cops are brutal. Do you think the engine noise and turbo whine hurt your dog's hearing since they are so sensitive to sound? I've always wondered this about pets in trucks.
+Daniel Hahn
I've had a dog with me in the truck off and on for about 20 years..its never been an issue
Does NM still require you to buy so many gallons of fuel when you pass through?
When you were laying out your route I was wondering why you were going over to Roswell?
I haven't been through Santa Rosa in years, I try to stay off the interstates these days.
+Charlie
No NM doest require you to buy fuel any more. I like the drive up hwy 70
I used to work at the 76 in Alb in the 70s and remember the drivers complaining about having to buy fuel.
That's a wall cloud and tornados drop out of that cloud
Dan have you ever used Rain X on your windshield?
how often do you stop during the day? do you split up your time into 3-4 shifts with 15-20 minute breaks in between? i'm about to get on the road myself. great videos!

SuperTruckerDan Cool. Got the same on my cascadia
How much more does an 18 speed weigh compared to a 13? Are the advantages of an 18 speed all on the low side?
+Sam O
Not sure aboiut the weight difference maybe a couple hundred pounds
Sam O
The wieght differnce between a 18 and a 13 is no different, a 18,spd is just a glorified 13 with deep reduction, you rarely split the bottom side except when your loaded heavy.
Just wondering if you usually drive the speed limit or a little under for your best fuel mileage with the 13 speed?
+Absolute Nonsense
I run about 67 mph. That's 1400 rpm my truck seems to run best there
Thanks for watching
Dan, do you split the gears when your empty or just the last one?
+Lil Devil
I usually split gears all the time. It's just Habit
