Great tips Kat! Just a couple of things I’d like to mention. First Musicals with Cheese. It’s a podcast that I’ve listened to a little bit. Check it out. Second, along the lines of karaoke, there is an app called Smule that I’d recommend. It’s basically a singing and acting app. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work. Love you

Ive started my collection of Broadway soundtracks, I have Six, Hamilton, Beetlejuice, Dear Evan Hansen, Frozen, Lion King, Hair, Hairspray, Heathers, and Bare the popera. Also Ive been playing animal crossing while listening to them.
One of the worst parts of quarantine for me is that my family is always at home so I never have the house to myself and thus never get to belt out show tunes at the top of my lungs without judgement.
During quarantine I’ve been procrastinating, watching every Doctor Who clip on UA-cam, rping with other theatre kids who live on the other side of the world on scratch and having mental breakdowns.
If you can afford It, I strongly suggest investing in a BroadwayHD account there are so many plays and musicals to watch to keep you busy. Fun Fact: I saw the last broadway show before it shut down. I was going to see Moulin Rouge and when we arrived they were handing out flyers saying it was canceled. I then ran over to grab tickets to see Phantom because it was the only other Thursday matinee. At intermission people started checking their phones and we got the news that broadway was shut down. I started crying because it was so surreal.
I'm an incoming freshmen at my high school. They were supposed to do Guys and Dolls but it was postponed because of corona. Rehearsals are starting again and not everyone could do it, so now I get to fill in for one of the hotbox dancers! It feels so good to be back in theater

It's theatre (not musical), but The National Theatre Live (at home) are putting a theatre production on UA-cam every Thursday, which is available for the next seven days. It's amazing and so cool to see the full plays! So that's another tip for anyone who's interested.
Answer of the day; since the quarantine started, I’ve been cleaning my bedroom at least once a day, communicating through social media, making time pass quicker by playing games while listening to Broadway soundtracks, and trying to get fresh air at least once a day (by going just outside my house). But last night I saw Into The Woods starring Bernadette Peters in its entirety on UA-cam; lbr life changing if you haven’t seen it!
My current routine is: wake up, stay in pyjamas until 12, eat lunch, read (and cry about the state of the characters), listen to Starry/Alice by Heart, dwell in existential dread, you know, all the standard fun things
My Brother and I have decided we’re going to start performing a Musical for our family every week until quarantines over. This week: The Scarlet Pimpernel
I have a swing in my yard so my neighbor and I perform to musicals on them. We have choreographed Hamilton on a swing. I also have written some lyrics to a 2020 musical in my head.
I've been reading and connecting with old friends. I've also been singing every day while my parents are home, and that has helped a lot with my self-consciousness on singing. So I can sing in front of my parents easier. Love you, Katherine!
I personally have been listening to my 26 hr long musical theater playlist, dancing around my bedroom and belting at the top of my lungs. My parents can’t wait till i go to college.
Hi Kat, on the British National Theatre UA-cam channel they have been showing theatre productions for free each week with another one playing each Thursday at 7pm (11am in LA, California). You might like the productions they show! Hope this helps
One thing I love to do is look at the source material for some of my favorite shows! I just finished reading “The Phantom of the Opera” by Gaston Leroux, and it’s just so fascinating to see the differences between the materials and see what inspires others.
My friends and I have done virtual shows! We pick a straight play, randomly assign parts, and get on Zoom! We perform the play in full costume, makeup, and props over video chat!
Question of the day: I've been playing Animal Crossing, singing some kareoke, organizing/decluttering, and watching makeup videos on youtube. (I'm learning to cook too, so that's fun.) I've been bored out of my mind to say the least.
"I don't know about you guys, but I think I'm going crazy" Trust me, it's not just you lol. I'm pretty fortunate that my local theater has been posting a lot of recordings from past shows, and really doing a good job of continuing audience participation during this shutdown, so at least I've had that as my anchor as I mentally unravel (If that interests any of y'all, feel free to follow The Rhinebeck Center for Performing Arts on Facebook and Instagram!) I've also started digging up scripts and writing my blocking ideas into them, making set lists for cabaret ideas (maybe writing an original show or song???), etc.
So far I’ve preformed Hamilton twice, Waitress once, and King Kong four times in my room at 1 o’clock in the morning. tonight’s shows include Hadestown, Wicked, and In the Heights.

bruh for the past few days, i’ve been learning regina’s, gretchen’s and karen’s parts in mean girls the musical... like ALL OF IT, the choreography, lines, songs, everything... and i’m having a blast ! 😂

Thanks for this video! I was supposed to be in a play and we were 2 weeks before opening night TWO WEEKS! and I'm so sad. Your videos cheer me up, thanks.
QOTD: I’ve been watching UA-cam and Netflix and really surprised that during the quarantine I haven’t watched newsies or shrek. Btw you show play animal crossing and maybe make a animal crossing channel
If you have Disney+, I HIGHLY recommend watching “Encore!” It’s a high school cast coming back many years later to put on the same show in 6 days. The director, musical director, and choreographer are all well known Broadway people, and it’s executive produced by KRISTEN FORKING BELL. The oldest cast was from 1975 [Anything Goes, the original extended script], and the youngest was 2008 [Ragtime].
Watch "Encore" on Disney plus if you have it. It's about getting people together to perform their high school musicals long after they graduate. For some it's just like a decade after, others it's many many years and it's so beautiful and tear jerking honestly.
I've been doing masterclasses with Broadway stars! On April 7th I got a one-on-one lesson with Ashley Park! Other than that, I've been binge-watching Glee and playing Animal Crossing nonstop. You should totally get the game!
