Love any scene with Mr Quin in it. But understand why they cut his scene in the music shop. That fingernail scratching town meeting scene was a much better introduction to him
I just watched Bob Shaw in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE. Such a great actor. Stupendous. But I'm glad they cut that music store scene. It detracted from the story and made him look a little more loony than necessary (at that point). It's better meeting him for the first time in his man cave with him bleaching jaws in boiling water and the massive man eater jaws hanging on the wall. Also the extended scene on the ferry is unnecessary. Best to end it on 'we've got a panic on the fourth of July'. Perfect. These cuts demonstrate how less is more.
Martin Brody should've said to the mayor & the coroner if they can afford to deny that it was a shark and not a boating accident that killed a woman while she was skinny-dipping in the water at night without a lifeguard present and are they willing to risk any more lives to be harmed by that monstrous fish, all because they need summer dollars for their economy?

Just a phenomenal film. Like most here I saw it at the cinema summer 75. There was just nothing like it before.
