I think it MUST be combined with a fat in order to work. This is why many use coconut oil when ingesting it, making it into a paste. The ideal way, from my research, is to use curcumin 95%, you can also add whole tumeric if you want to, cook it in a pan with good quality coconut oil, add piperine (black pepper extract), ginger, cinnamon, and if you can find a high quality Tumeric essential oil, this also contributes to the bioavailability. Mix it all up, and turn into a paste for multiple doses. I recently heard someone say you can add Boswelia powder, but that cannot be put under any heat, so it would have to be added late in the process.
