I first heard Redd play at a bar in Austin years ago. Had no idea who he was, but I got nothing else done that afternoon. I totally agree about his stratospheric status as a guitarist. And his singing ain’t half bad neither. I also enjoy his offhand and self-deprecating humor that bleeds into his musical style too. He’s the complete package: a jokey telecaster master of the universe with a classic country baritone.
