10 years old and this is better than any song Ive heard produced within that time. Timelessness, feelings of nostalgia of a time I never knew, the synesthesia really hits on this one. He's been my favorite artist for many years and he is the gift that keeps on giving. Absolutely the most talented artist Ive had the pleasure of listening to.
It important to remember that after the mid-80's, all music is mostly timeless. We don't have generations like the boomers and Gen Z had. We hear and live the sounds of the mid-60s anytime we want. We hear the sounds of the 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s all the time in YT because of the bots. The cream raises to the top.
This flew completely under the radar for some reason. I jammed to both Com Truise and Foster the People around the time this dropped but it never popped up in my recommended. I can’t believe I missed out on this banger.
It's like 80's, but better. So glad the producers are rediscovering that sound, but applying much greater complexity and layering than tracks of the 80's ever did.
I was only born in 99. 90's and 2000's were great times to live in my opinion haha. This music makes me wish i lived through the 80's. I love chillwave and vaporwave so much.
Same. Y'know it is quite interesting for people like you and I since we are the youngest millennials, and although I was born in December of 1999, I am one of the last people born in the 90s. The year we were born, the world had hope for a better future. We had an economy that was at its prime, and the start of a new millennium was about to commence, and this hope would abruptly end in September 11th, 2001. We were alive in the 90s but not long enough to remember anything. We grew up in post-9/11 america and so we will never relate to older generations in that sense, but at least we will experience this new type of Psychedelic tripwave music which builds off of the works of Daft Punk, and many other amazing artists. Although our generation is definitely not the worst (that title goes to the baby-boomers), we have a very minute sense of personal security. More and more people are living with their parents to pay off student loan debts after going to college and seeing the rampant fraudulence in our education system, and we are the first generation since WW2 to have it worse off than our parents. But there is still hope
I'Krypton525 I'm gen x, (1979) I think the millennials will be the next great generation in that they will fix a lot of problems the boomer generation created
The people who were from your parent's generation probably said the same bad stuff about your generation. Never understood the hate for millennials or any generation, it seems people would have faith that the next generation will correct the problems of the previous one
Also, to be fair, blaming an entire generation for the fact that stupid people still exist (as if there's anything surprising about that) is something an asshole does.
This remix is completely different from the original song, I barely can find any similarities(except the lyrics). I like the remix more than original song.
Lyrics: Sometimes life it takes you by the hand. It puts you down before you know it It's gone and you're dead again. I've been in places and I won't pretend That I make it I just follow my head. When its strange to take a walk downstairs Sweep u all up on a corner and pay for my bread. You know that I cannot believe my own truth To show what a truth, got nothin' to lose. Yeah yeah and it's okay. I tie my hands up to a chair so I don't fall that way. Yeah yeah and I'm alright. I took a sip of something poison but I'll hold on tight. You know those days when u wanted to choose To not get out of bed and get lost in your head again. You play the game but you gotta cut Cuz' you're comin' down hard your joints are off stud. I tried to say that's not the only way I never knew if I could convince myself to change. You were pacing I was insecure. Slip and fall I got the call of the prison I was livin' in. Yeah yeah and it's okay. I tie my hands up to a chair so I don't fall that way. Yeah yeah and I'm alright. I took a sip of something poison but I'll hold on tight
So many mistakes, dude: Sometimes life it takes you by the hair Pulls you down before you know it It's gone and you're dead again I've been in places and I won't pretend Yeah I'd make it out just to fall on my head Wake up strange and take the walk downstairs Hit the pawn up on the corner and pay for my rent You know that I could not believe my own truth Just show them what I choose, got nothin' to lose Yeah yeah and it's okay I tie my hands up to a chair so I don't fall that way Yeah yeah and I'm alright I took a sip of something poison but I'll hold on tight You know those days when you wanted to just choose To not get out of bed, you're lost in your head again You play the game but you kind of cut Cause you're coming down hard, your joints are all stuck I tried to say that it's not the only way I never knew if I could face myself to change You were pacing, I was insecure Slip and fall, I'm dodging calls, hug the prison I've been living in
I’m so mad at the UA-cam algorithm right now. I listened to both Foster the People and Com Truise around the time this remix came out, but it never showed up on my recommended or my feed. WHY DID YOU JUST BARELY RECOMMEND IT NOW, 12 YEARS LATER?!?!?! I could’ve been jamming out to this masterpiece this whole time!!!

Meditating to The instrumentals Makes me imagine myself sinking to the unknown depths of the ocean slowly getting further from the sunlight and security of the known world around me while discovering an entire new world below me that I didn't know existed. Meditation is a powerful thing

it's not 80's. It's just Truise, fam. :D
it makes me sad this is so unnoticed

Just fantastic vocals and the producer is from another planet.
this was my first Com Truise song what a 12 years trip this was man
All this truise music brings back great memories. Glimpses back to my past growing older in the 80s.
2021 needs a Com Truise and The Weeknd collaboration, because 2020 doesn’t deserve it.

West Coast Lofi all i gotta say.
lofi contains low fidelity sounds, this one's quite the opposite. 80s new wave music has more fatter, gated drums :)
