I love that in a world of nameless synth artists and 1980's inspired designers, Seth always does something fresh, and has such a great distinguishable style.
2 days ago, may 19th 2016, i saw Com Truise and STRFKR play. Com Truise went on first and i think it was the most memorable moment of my life, nothing special happened it was just the face is saw CT live. Truly an icon.
Com Truise is unreal.. I immediately bought this EP when i saw it existed, before listening to any of it. Best purchase ever. The title track is my favorite, it captures everything I love about this..this.. genre? Ode to 80's pop culture womped out electro-funk space blast rock.. no one sounds like this dude. For those new to anything at all like this i would recommend Groundislava, Dam Funk, Kuedo, Kavinsky, and Mitch Murder if you really want to step into a musical time machine. Any other recommendations would be awesome, I'm always searching for music at least kind of like this.. One of these days I'll have the courage to put my stuff out there too lol
After listening to his major works from Cyanide Sisters to Persuasion System, I agree. These are jams. And there's something different about the sound design...I think there's more use of a small room reverb or subtle delay that gives this EP such a unique sound compared to the rest.
There are visuals that come to mind when listening to songs, especially instrumentals. The intro of the 1st song has such a strong visual in my mind as to what's going on. It's the beginning of a movie and it works well with the album art.
Man remember when Forgive was one of those leaked tracks people kept saying was fake? Same with She Melts and Trying Times. Saw so many people saying they weren't real tracks. Now look at you.
+Jackknife 86 Yeah this dude in front of me lit up and he was grinding on this dude and actin' a fool and he got kicked out, along with some other people.
I think this is my favorite Com Truise album. I mean I love Galactic Melt and In Decay. But this is awesome sounding. Especially Forgive and du Zirconia.
I mostly requested it for legal/copyright issues. If you're found posting a full album and not giving a direct link to the content creators store you're in violation of fair use. If you give a link then it makes this video free promotion and that's as good thing! Also yeah, someone might buy it haha!
I like some of Com Truise the only thing is from his 2011 releases to 2016 it doesn't sound any different, wonder if he uses the same plugin for every album or release, would love to know.
Skin Mech lots of vintage polysynths and Ableton, and you're served. Layers of linndrum, 505, DMX, and of course his beautiful taste for rhythms and chords.
+Darkwolf @Darkwolf8441 in my opinion this is way better than wave 1. I have all of his vinyls and they are signed by him as well. I'm a very big fan and this stuff sounds like his old stuff so it's nice to see he's gone back to his roots.
im sorry man, i was a bit excited about this album and i know vaporwave has a vibe similar to this and such. i didnt mean to attack aethetics like that lol. the phrase "a e s t h e t i c s" made me believe you were throwing this guy in the vaporwave genre but to me he is more "mid-fi slow-motion funk" than vaporwave :]
ironmac wade All good dude, Yeah I mean slomo mid-fi funk is what he calls his music and makes reference to 80's textures and sounds but really he is just as qualified as his fans to name his music to a genre (if you write music you know what I mean). I think it definitely has an angle on vapourwave (original composition and exploration of sounds rather than slowing down an old 80's track and adding some drums) but yeah I get why you don't want to call it vapor wave.
and honestly Mr.Truise could come out with a legit vaporwave track and i could do nothing but call it vaporwave lol. i dont hate vaporwave im just a genre snob lol
my only gripe with techno it's a bit repeaty, luls you into NOT LISTENING so yea your supposed to be doing other stuff while it plays but....i like, well not really, jazz.... its constantly changing, techno to me needs to get into "unrepitition" one continuous non repeating piece, instead of repeating sections slapped together....i'm 20 years in music and i still get caught in the robot repeaty mood. it's fun for a bit but my mind purposely hates it after a bit craving for change. someone is going to come up with the first "unbeated" song. has no "home" or beat or rhythm ....but that IS the rhythm
As much as i like this EP, Sunspot was better when it was Demo 01. Too many unnecessary additions to a song that was fantastic because of it's cleanness.
~*Quite possibly the highest ranking synth-magician on the planet.*~
Synth Mozart

He pretty much invented the genre
COM TRUISE IS A SUPERMAN IN SOUND ENGINEERING, EVERY TRACK OF EVERY ALBUM IS A TRUE MASTERPIECE AND GENIUS AT WORK !!!
I really feel alive, excited, nervous. Com always brings me into this zone, I can't explain but it really grounds me.
He is a GOD..
@@machida58 Clearly you had not been introduced to the hellscape that is 2024....

That sounds like a fantastic show! Where was it?
Makes you say damn, bopping your head.
Each song on this album is perfection
I love com truise!
Better than the original :D
not all heroes wear capes
+Jamie Power I m pretty sure Com Truise wears a cape when he is alone.
+MinimalPirate id like to think so
That's a great copy.

i easily bought com truise and tycho. love that ambient goodness. my mind needs a vacation.
" no one sounds like this dude." At this point no, he's ascended to quite possibly the highest ranking synth-magician on the planet.
Thanks I needed some new suggestions. You should check out |Double Dragon|. NewRetroWave added their album and it is amazing.
Sunspot is pure perfection!
Yeah buddy...
Indeed it is. Might be my favorite ct track
Got me hooked at once!
insanely good as always.
So good i got it on vinyl
no
so good i bought it on vinyl, awesome that its played at 45 rpm on a 33
This is his best work.
After listening to his major works from Cyanide Sisters to Persuasion System, I agree. These are jams. And there's something different about the sound design...I think there's more use of a small room reverb or subtle delay that gives this EP such a unique sound compared to the rest.
Forgive is incredible.
The god of synth
If you can't get that analog feel. Then your dreams will never com truise.
This album how reminds me of my first time in England and my first time in London. Awesome.
I find it hard to listen to any other kind of music after listening to this. it's like there's something missing.
Wtf, thought i was the only one... humming this shit whilst brushing my teeth....
Oh it's missing alright. Genuine good vibes RI.P. 80's for life
There other interresting stuff out there, Boards of Canada, Windows96, etc... happy exploration.
it really is. sometimes you just have to go back & just bask in as much as you can before you get pulled back. I find '83 to be particular refreshing.
Go explore. I'm sure you'd listened to tons of better music already.
Luv all Coms music it’s all legendary in its own time
Tom Cruise at a Com Truise show genuinely enjoying the music but completely oblivious to the play on words
Austin Laughter You know L. Ron Hubbard fucks with this
It's not a play on words, it's a Spoonerism.
Chewing on 2 pieces of gum, with those ridiculous Ray-Bans on, grinning from ear to ear....in a suit
@@Demention94 Excuse me, Do you mean H. Lon Rubbard?
Silicon Tare was so good live
every album is great, this one is just excellence with the sentimental tracks, masterpiece.
все песни понравились.Скоро посещу его концерт!
This pierces my heart and fills it with the most complex emotions..
And yes, Im stoned.
In A Dream you must grow handle bar mustache to my young padawan.
same
he really has grown a lot on this one, took me a couple listens

What IS your visual specifically?
What a cohesive intro.
Pure art I can’t even
Favorite EP of the year
Silicon is straight fire. The rest is throwaway
The sound of this music reminds me of the original Phantasy Star series for the Genesis (especially Phantasy Star II)
+Mark Daoud Phantasy Star 2 was epic
phantasm
All about that detuning and oscillator drift
MDMA + Blade Runner + Miami Vice ... Bought my vinyl!
i see the the seth man next fri. very excite

hermoso....saludos desde chile
I think this is my favorite Com Truise album. I mean I love Galactic Melt and In Decay. But this is awesome sounding. Especially Forgive and du Zirconia.
he goes overboard in du Zirconia with one of the melodies. the song already starts off dramatic (& awesome). very unlike Com.
The Coverartwork reminds me of the mountain Giewont in Poland :)
Eyes Side Whut was a mell of a hovie.
Demo 1 (Syn) definitely evolved into something good!
Can't believe I'm just noticing the female in this picture
5:27 That breakdown
I know right ahhhhh
It's so good.... ; )
that second track had me thinking bout the horse track scene in BHC 2.
soooo nooooice

+Mouteg Good man yourself!
+Vape Naysh Y'all! that's why these type of artist can't have a bigger audience, people like you stealing what money they can make from it.
+Vape Naysh Y'all! It shows the label to promote that artist because they are selling records. No one does but buying music does make a difference
I mostly requested it for legal/copyright issues. If you're found posting a full album and not giving a direct link to the content creators store you're in violation of fair use. If you give a link then it makes this video free promotion and that's as good thing!

What video game is this from?
This is synthwave dude haha. It all got influence from video games of the early 80's & 90's as well as movies from the 80's.

I have to ask: could this be referred to as either "Outrun", "Retro-Electro" and/or simply "Synthwave"? Hehehe.
Well hello there! I hope I can give you some answers to your question. This is definitely Retro-électrique or otherwise I have no idea.
No no this is just retrowave.
