I'll be 64 this month and I remember my Dad listening to Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline, and Patty Page on a Sunday night in New York City after he put us to bed on his stereo that was the size of a huge piece of furniture.. He turned off the TV and sat in a dark room smoking his cigarette just chilling out preparing for a new work week. I find myself doing the same thing to relax and prepare for another stressful week during these times. My dad is still with me and thank him for setting an example of taking the time too relax and handle life.

Brenda Lee recorded this song at the age of 15 on March 28th, 1960. The vocal along with the wonderful arrangement are almost beyond description they are so good. Forget genres and styles this is pure talent the likes of which are rarely seen.
Omg iam young but this woman's voice is so thrilling and majestically beautiful!!! Brenda Lee ..wow !! I wish music was like this today and we had real singers as these . !

Hey i hope you're still around... can you please tell us what living in the 60s was like? Those years seem so peaceful....50s to the 70s I'm only 27 that's why i'm asking
I’ve been on a journey through music and I’ve come to the conclusion that I lived through the 50s and 60s in my past life. Brenda Lee and her thrilling voice has been a stepping stone in that journey. Such a magical time, the 50s.
To say this song was a great hit is an understatement! She was a young teenager, with such a unique voice and the lyrics to her songs were so beautiful and the way she sang we believed every word she was singing. She definitely crossed over and this song hit home with EVERYONE.
I am here for Brenda Lee. She is one of my favorite singers and especially from the 50's and 60's. For me she is the first Princess of Pop (Although today is considered Country) her repertoire and her voice are magnificent. She is like Mariah Carey. They are much more than just a Christmas song.
Can you just imagine such a beautifully gorgeous song as this being produced nowadays? Every part of it from singer downwards is delivered with pure emotion and sincerity. Oh dear, why have things deteriorated do much.
It's Original and classy. It's dope. It's a chill old school song. I love when real emotion is put in. It seems like all they care about today is certain patterns in a song when in reality, an incongruent song could be a real hit.

The fact that so many books still name Brenda Lee as “the greatest or most significant or most influential” rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. Brenda Lees sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that Brenda Lee did anything worthy of being saved.

Can you believe a 15 year old could sing this song? My lord, I lose it every time I hear her sing this song. I enjoyed her earlier songs, but not even close to as much as I loved this one. What an incredible voice, and an understanding of what she was singing about.
My mother would put this single on her record player and play it over and over. It wasn't until I was nearly 50 and she had passed away, that a friend of hers told me the reason for it. People can keep secrets their entire lives and ultimately take those secrets with them to the grave!
I'm also listening in Dec 2024 & I used to listen to this with my Grandma as a young child in the early 2000s. Just hearing Brenda Lee's voice floods me with wonderful memories of my late grandmother
when I first heard this lady sing I wanted to marry her and just listen to her sing and I have felt this way for 64 years and still want to marry her. I LOVE her singing so wonderful
Wow , I couldn't have been 20 ? I lived in Las Vegas and my sister and her husband came out for a visit . we went to the Silver Slipper ( next door to Stardust ) to see Brenda Lee , great show and guess who was in the booth two over from us ....ELVIS !!! He was a big fan just as we were . we waited outside the showroom and he appeared . My sis is 9 yrs older and her knees wobbled when she asked for autograph and got a hug too ! we had to hold her up , ha . Brenda Lee was a Star .
Ilsa Joyce Yes , you would have been in heaven ...( where the King is now :). Also for your enjoyment , yrs. later I was in this rock band and one of my guitar players was I guess you call it a lighting man ? He directed one of many spotlights on ELVIS , at the las vegas Hilton ( Elvis was a God there ) so we're walking through the stage swiggin on J.D. and his band came in to work out some stuff , it was great to watch and better to see them perform that night ! What a show this man puts on and what ever the age old to young became school girls again !! I watched from the "bird nest " with Dean while he did his job . So cool , that was 1976 and some more shows through 1977 . I saw him many times during those years in casinos , backstage , but I never approached him . After I saw him perform from that time on I was a huge fan . Peace and Love ..............I wish I could say we talked etc. And believe me I heard he was so nice and friendly to all ...but you just looking at the man ...I am not one who is star struck , O.K. I met and ate and talked to the biggest stars T.V. and Film . None had the ( Dean Martin and Sammy Davis ) WOW factor like Elvis , oh , Michael Jackson too ....sorry I got carried away reminiscing .
+Marshal law Wow that is so amazing and SO lucky! I remember when I was around 7 yrs old (I'll be 24 next week) I met Elvis's drummer....my family and I were traveling and my Dad, being an industrial electrician, he went into the hotel to get a room for the family and a man spoke up saying he was having trouble with his light in his room, no one was available to fix it so my Dad volunteered to look at it, he went in the mans room and started having a conversation with him and found out he was Elvis Presley's drummer...my dad ran back into our room and took me to meet him....i soooo wish i could go back in time because today there are so many questions i would have liked to ask him...back then when i was little i didnt truly understand who this man really was...i have been an Elvis fan since i was 4 lol
"Lo siento" excelente canción tan bien cantada y con tanto sentimiento por Brenda Lee. Una de mis favoritas de mi época de adolescente y que todavía me gusta escuchar.

Así es mi amigo. Ud. lo ha dicho claramente. Saludos, N.norberto pablo loaisiga dubois

Can you believe a 15 year old could sing this song? My lord, I lose it every time I hear her sing this song. I enjoyed her earlier songs, but not even close to as much as I loved this one. What an incredible voice, and an understanding of what she was singing about.
and I was 12 ! inforgettable son !
When the stars align and great artist meet great writers, arrangers, engineers and musicians you have a masterpiece.

My mother would put this single on her record player and play it over and over. It wasn't until I was nearly 50 and she had passed away, that a friend of hers told me the reason for it. People can keep secrets their entire lives and ultimately take those secrets with them to the grave!
OMG! Now I´m curious about the secret...
Cliff Hanger! Now you have to tell!
What did she do?

Nostalgia romântica EUA Brenda. Parabéns pelo vídeo Brasil.
Brenda lee has amazing voice. Godbless her for all the memories shes brought in my life.
Way back then, I loved Brenda Lee, her voice was so special and she seemed to live the song when she sang it.
Wow , I couldn't have been 20 ? I lived in Las Vegas and my sister and her husband came out for a visit .
we went to the Silver Slipper ( next door to Stardust ) to see Brenda Lee , great show and guess who was
in the booth two over from us ....ELVIS !!! He was a big fan just as we were . we waited outside the showroom
and he appeared . My sis is 9 yrs older and her knees wobbled when she asked for autograph and got a hug too !
we had to hold her up , ha . Brenda Lee was a Star .
+Marshal law soooooooo lucky! what i would give to meet elvis!! lol
+Marshal law I am a huge fan of Dean Martin and Michael Jackson as well lol
"Lo siento" excelente canción tan bien cantada y con tanto sentimiento por Brenda Lee. Una de mis favoritas de mi época de adolescente y que todavía me gusta escuchar.
I had just started watching teotfw last night and finished it that very night and I would like to thank their soundtrack for having such amazing songs in it
Thank you, from Moscow.
My dad loved her.. he just passed away.. im listening to it and thinking about my dad.. miss you so much dad. You are so missed❤
Merveilleuse voix et très belle chanson !
Teotfw was such a great show and the music brings tears to my eyes
I want that movie to have 2 old actors 😘😘😘😘
Oh how so wonderful this is. Maybe I'm too young to hear this but damn at an age where nonsense music is made every other hour of every other day, finding this felt like finding a dime.
