100%. Couldn't agree more. If its over 100 pounds then it should last over 12 hours. Project massively and be special. Otherwise I feel its a total rip off. Thanks for watching xx
@@memegimygimy1526 Jo Malone has no excuse because Atelier Cologne is not inexpensive but their stuff projects. Not all the Atelier citrus scents last more than 6 hours but I do get compliments during the first 4 hours at least. With my Jo Malone's I get to smell myself from the door to my and that is all. I heard Jo Malone is now making scents for Zara and I bet those one's are going to work better. Such a shame.
I have listened to many people review fragrance and you are unequivocally the BEST! I love your descriptions and the way you "see" or "feel" fragrance. You also inspire me to learn more about all of these fascinating bits you are discussing. Thank you for sharing your passion.
This is a skin scent so you have to pile it on. I can’t help but love this. I don’t find it too sweet, it has the coconut almost vanilla with a beachy, upscale vibe. I actually hate sickly sweet. It’s one I cannot do without having because it’s a unique one from TF and I own NOTHING like it ♥️
if you could go through tom ford's line up of 'special' frags id love to hear your thoughts on fragrances like f*cking fabulous, oud minerale, tobacco oud intnese, lavender extreme etc! also on slumberhouse haha as it has a cult following. it can be very divisive.
Im doing a review with Chris next week. I don't know what he has in store for me. But he has the whole range so I would expect thats going to come up. But I have no idea. If he doesn't do it il do the whole range. I was planning to do it with the most loved Ouds. I work massively with real oud and I want to do this when my production value is better.
@@AaronTerenceHughes awesome! I'd like to say I love oud, however, it would be great to see what Is oud and what isn't so natural etc. Thanks for a response! Keep it up! Really liking what you've brought to UA-cam.
@@XxXHardcoreshredderxXXxxxxxxxx I want to do a two part on this. My expertise lies in Oud. I have a lot of naturals and aroma chemicals that would be perceived as Oud. But I want to take my time getting this right so its part education and part review.
@@AaronTerenceHughes Your channel is exciting to me because I have a nose that is so hypersensitive and picky these days that I'm having a hard time settling on even one solid daily fragrance. I used to wear everything and anything way back in the day, but now I just can't stand what is being released. I don't know if it's the aroma chemicals being used, my nose has changed, or maybe a combination of both things. I would like to get educated on oud because my first experience smelling oud in a fragrance was, to put it mildly, horrifying LOL. I had immediate flashbacks to a petting zoo full of goats on a sweltering summer day and the scent nearly made me lose my lunch. 😄 I have heard that high-quality oud does not smell like animals/barnyard/skank etc., but so I'm definitely interested in hearing your thoughts.
I've been hearing a lot lately about your love for challenging smells or fragrances with a punch. I personally resonate a lot with your assessment of fragrances. With many UA-cam reviewers putting out fragrances that are safe and borderline boring, It'd be great to see a list from you featuring fragrances you love and are within an accessible price range. Looking forward to more videos and reviews from you. Keep going mate!

Aaron Terence Hughes Not at all. Follow your heart! I just can't help but wonder what your personal favorite scents are. Also, Encre Noir by Lalique is one that comes to mind when I think of a complex but affordable fragrance.

I put my nose on this in store and it was nice but would choose so many other fragrances over this at the price point and you’re right it leaned to feminine for me.
My opinion exactly. I don't know why I bought this, but I did and now the only thing I can smell is suntan lotion! Thanks for verifying what I've thought all along. 🙂
Tom ford needs to HIRE you!! I love this fragrance, but I wish it had more power & potency. I’m a guy btw Idc that it smells feminine like, gives me that ‘tingly’ feeling u always mention
These are just mesmerising what you know and can get from these. Also you could probably make millions from these companies advising them what's missing and how they could improve it. But don't do that we wouldn't want to miss out on your own creations 🙂
@@scentedsnowdrops I think the fragrance industry needs to get shaken up. Its all gone a bit lazy. No-one holds them accountable for putting out boring fragrance and charging £130+. Im hoping I can educate people so they can start buying what smells good and not just buy a name. Maybe companies will wake up and start to make amazing stuff again. FYI if Estee Lauder asked me to create a sexy fragrance for TF. Id jump at the chance. That would be a full circle amazing moment. Its because of TF that I wanted to create fragrance.
@@AaronTerenceHughes i agree its a little flat at them moment and the massive companies can surely take a few risks to make something interesting and unique. I like TM Soleil Blanc edp and dislike the edt.. But i feel like it could be better because the opening to me is quite harsh. It smells synthetic and screeching. I’m not sure but most of fragrances with lots of neroli smells synthetic and screeching to my nose, almost irritating. Or is it the bergamot?
I don't know if he'll have time to answer, but personally, I hate neroli with a passion (and its twin from a different distillation process, orange blossom). I find that neroli always makes a fragrance smell, well, 'perfumey' if that makes sense and far less natural, 'my skin, but better' which I love. It does smell horribly synthetic, screechy and irritating to me. Orange blossom smells like honeysuckle on steroids, like being hit with a two-ton honeysuckle anvil. Just sickening to me, but so many people love it, perfumers included.
DarlingNikki2 Yes I don’t mind a little bit of Neroli and Bergamot. But I feel like it’s overused especially as opening note and when there is no balance of other notes to soften it, I find it very annoying. Orange blossom I don’t mind either but I also feel like it has been so dominant in every designer fragrance for years.
