There's a lot of really great & pretty cheap 3 tier stands designed for elektron boxes that have an ergonomic curve to them. Still needs a surface to put that stand on but they take up a hell of a lot less space than a full rack and they're much nicer to use. I feel like given you're not wedded to a lot of the rack stuff you could easily have just a single, shorter rack with the vermona & necessities in there and then sit one of those stands on top. You could totally have the Vermona at the top of the rack & then just sequence it from the Rytm or the Octatrack. Then you get to use all the powerful conditional trigs etc. of the Elektron gear with the Vermona sound and still be able to easily tweak both at the same time.
Good to know about the 3 tier stands. I remember the two tier folding ones they used to have and I always like them as well. You know, for some reason I've never thought about sequencing the Vermona with the octatrack. Love this idea--especially with the parameter locks and trig conditions. Gotta try this. love these videos (and the idea of making things more and more ergonomic / streamlined..) you mentioned trying to fit the elektrons on the table in front of the doepfer setup, but wouldn't work because of the cables.. i wonder if you'd consider raising the doepfer an inch or two so they'd fit under it..? might not be that hard to do, and you could probably do it in a way without worry of it tipping over.. i'm always thinking about how to streamline things here - always something more to do as the setup changes / expands..!
I love that idea about raising the modular--definitely an option and also give me something else to build, lol. I am considering adding a tilted top section to the doepfer one day idk. Indeed, the studio is an always evolving process but I guess that's part of the fun. Thanks for watching! Part 5 coming soon.
@@JayFrederick oh, yeah - the tilted top seems like it could help if the modular was raised up a little bit.. and you're right - it's definitely part of the fun thinking about these things..! looking forward to seeing how it all progresses.
@8:11 I've tried using the RYTM in a rack but it didn't stay there long! lol Have you thought about jasper stands for your Elektron gear? I have all my gear on a couple large Jasper stands with all the equipment at arms reach, a neat solution for OCD minds :)
