    Y’all should look into doing a family parasite cleanse. Raw food, walking barefoot, animals, are all contributing to parasite overload. Rogers Hood Apothecary has a comprehensive one that anyone over 3years can do. Want to see y’all thriving!

    I have been devoted to your channel and your family. I admire your goals of growing or raising as much as you are able to in the future. I am concerned though about your health issues that seem to becoming chronic for you all. Rebecca nor yourself do not seem to be getting any better. Kids are always going to be getting and passing things to each other so not that unusual. Justin time to get you and your wife to a regular MD to get answers. Alternative medicine is fine for many things but there is a time to get answers.

Wow, 5 1/2 gallons of lard and another gallon of tallow in eight hours time! That looked like some GOOD CHICKEN for everyone! Thanks for this video Rhodes family! Merry Christmas!🎄☃

    Barefoot kids in every pasture and standing on the kitchen counters. Do nails get scrubbed before food prep? Sounds like a recipe for low level illness fairly consistently in the family. We were dirty outside kids as well, but clean before a food prep.

      It’s funny, you live this way so that you know where your food is coming from but you are always always sick. I buy all my food at the grocery store or a restaurant or a fast food place and I have maybe been sick three times in the lastthree years and that was with Covid. The most effective way to control spread is to clean common surfaces. Door knows, refrigerator handles, backs of chairs. Doesn't need to be bleach or sanitizer, either. Just a good detergent , wipe, and let air dry. Detergent destroy virus membranes.

    Feel better soon. It's good to see the adults overseeing food processing and providing hygenic conditions as the kids can't be responaible for that. Kids tend to rush and adults do better to sanitize. There are important food standards that promote good health. Traces of animal manure spread far and too much bacteria depletes the good stuff in the gut. Teach kids a science lesson about good microbiome and also harmful bacteria and this is why we wash things often with hot water. Sharing caring advice from one farmer to another.

    I use appropriate sized slow cooker to render lard/tallow/schmaltz. You don't have to refrigerate it. If you get it over 250F and seal it right away in a jar, it should be shelf stable. I oven process fats and bacon bits in canning jars at 250F for an hour. Turn off oven and let the jars cool in oven over night (days sometimes). Then store on shelf. No freezing needed. I am so envious of 80 pounds of tallow! Wowsers! Thank you for making your videos. I learn so much and have a better attitude for it. :)

    Look how well you've all reached being a harmoious conglomeration 😊 working together so efficiently.
    Being a mom means no breaks or days off. Could this fatigue be a Thyroid issue or that dread lingering Covid strain some people struggle with maybe?( If you had it.) Either can lay you low, so make life more of a challenge.
    Could it even be due to all the things you've been personally dealing with - month after month - without a break.
    Then too k- you guys jumped into this amazing home re-do. That's a lot by itself. Just think of all that's happened over the past year or more. Anyone would become exhausted with all that to cope with.
    Any one of those life events: like the health crisis of a son, at the same time ... having both husband & a parent becoming seriously ill. As you've been struggling with thyroid issues, & that alone could cause stress from worry, resulting in waves of fatigue, it's hard when so many other areas of concern pile on before you're fully recovered from all the other things.
    You likely need a break & a good rest. You also weaned your last baby - just a short time ago too! That's gotta be an adjustment for mind & body both!
    So...Congrats! You coped with a lot in the past year. Give yourself understanding, time to rest & recuperate! You need more rest for a while....
    Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !

      Is not good, but these homesteaders know nothing about healthy nutrition. They are full of bad medical and nutritional information. But they have an audience that believes everything they do. Sad really.

    8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
    9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
    Acts 15:7-21
    King James Version
    7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
    8 And God, which knoweth the hearts (of all), bare them witness, giving them (Gentiles) the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us (Jews);
    9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
    10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the Gentile) disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
    11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
    12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
    13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
    14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
    15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
    16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
    17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
    18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
    19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
    20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
    21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
