I'm sorry for the loss of the reclaim. But it's a small price to pay for the lesson learned, right? Good on you for figuring it out, and for doing what it takes to move forward. We all have our "learning moments" and take our lumps. Keep at it, you're doing great!
When things blistered on me it was from clay bodies being too hot. Anything other than bmix. I had some pieces recently that bubbled because I didn’t realize it was speckled bmix. As for the darker clay, I wonder if you have hot spots in the kiln. Also try cone 5 with 13-15 min hold and slow bisque at 04 🤷🏼♀️
Thanks for the advice. All pieces were bisques at 04. I found that I accidentally used 06 clay on some of the pieces. That’s why the glaze not doing right. In the video when I did a second firing to double check, some of the vessel walls had begun to melt. That’s when I knew the exact problem. New opening being posted today with beautiful results.
My kiln fired at the same temp as it has in the past with these glazes. I’ve come to the conclusion that it was a low fire clay I accidentally used and that’s why the glaze did not do properly. Thank you so much for watching.
@@tnlpottery4294 Your cone tells you what heat work you got. The cone can't lie. It had to be your clay and if you fired cone 04 clay to hot cone 6 be glad you didn't make a big mess in your kiln. Chalk it up to a great learning experience!
Thank you for taking the time to explain some of the problem.
You are so welcome.

Thank you so much. Yes, I completely believe in learning by failing. Lol
Sorry you have to dump that clay but I’m glad you found out the problem.
Me too. I can move on a make pretty things again.

Smart lady - I agree it’s likely your clay!

@DrSandraGSmith just lots of research. 😂
That troubleshooting th Kiln, could be too much mud in your system. I'll bring the shovel & a wheelbarrow. Love unc. Jeff B.
Just use that bucket as low fire non food stuff
Sure didn’t think about that. 😔 I’ll remember that next time.
A gloss glaze that fires mat indicates under fired glaze. Perhaps your clay is a high fire clay.
I found out that it was low fire clay I accidentally used. That was what caused it to not melt on the clay body properly.
I think it is underfired due to mat.
