I just wish Hamilton would do more screw down crowns. That’s been the one thing keeping me from buying. I understand in that price range it’s difficult to have screw down crowns but it makes a big difference.
Something about you two, you guys have chemistry. When watching each alone, Kevin is a little un-relatable, Teddy lacks the pizazz. Together they form a perfect pairing. When they shop together it’s like I’m hearing my internal dialog out loud. Kevin’s searching for the extraordinary but Teddy has a very rational mind and focuses on the value. 11/10 would recommend.
It’s the “master / grass hopper” dynamic. I actually love it, lol. Camaraderie over watches, it doesn’t get better than that.
I like them both, but when they together they hit another level.
Its true, Teddy and Kevin have chemistry and are really fun to watch interact.

Yeah, Kevin definitely won this one. The first two pieces alone sealed the deal for me. That red IWC is phenomenal.
Idk I think Teddy won with the Rolex GMT Master and the JLC Reverso Duoface and everything else was just icing. Those are two of the best watches money can buy right now.

@xaviermcquiston1604 I agree IWC ,Breitling and Hamilton. Kevin really does have a talent for finding beautiful dials. I’m not a fan of slim, rectangular watches, like Tank or Reverso. I’m baffled why men find it cool to wear. If You want to wear a rectangular watch go Monaco, Santos or something similar, not a ladies jewelry piece.
I'll have to go with Kevin this time, especially after swapping the Breitling. And the Breguet is just out of this world!!

That Breitling swap was the game changer for me as well.
You gotta give Teddy props. He just seems hungrier than everyone else when it comes to consistent and original content within the watch community. The fact that he has an almost monthly series with Kevin is pretty crazy when you think about it. He basically forced his way into the the space he's in with hard work and talent.

@@quinnlessard8236 Everything seemed kinda legit I gave my address and then was told that the item would ship in 2 hours and He would cover the Taxes but I needed to choose my shipping option and pay for that. While is was only $50-100 it seems too good to be true. Personally I think that based on his videos Teddy seems like a real Gentleman and if was really going to be giving away a Longines Spirit for free, pay any import taxes that the $50 shipping wouldnt be a issue. I offered to pay after the item arrives. The reply was I guess I will give it to another Subscriber. Now if this was the real Teddy then I apologize for not just sending the shipping cost, I love your videos and if someone else gets the Free watch congratulations. But It felt a bit sketchy so I passed.

Kevin’s relaxed interest and Teddy’s encyclopedia like knowledge of watches makes for a great team. I have enjoyed watching them work together and discuss watches.

Kevin was in 3 or 4D here - played the game “like a shark” while singing praises of the store, reflecting on current trends and dishing out some great collecting advice. He was in his element.
Going with Kevin on this one. Man, that collection just looks SO good. All of the different dials coming together, mix of bracelet and strap, diverse group of brands and price. Was leaning Teddy but when the screenshot of Kevin’s lineup came onto the screen - wow. Breathtaking.

Agree, but then he put that hideous red strap on the Hamilton field watch at the end. Kind of killed it for me. I think he loses just based on that. His unaltered collection though was truly amazing.
The pistachio Breitling really sealed the deal for Kevin. Teddy’s reverso was stunning and one of my favorites from this. That Breitling was the absolute top of this video, though. Kevin got lucky with that trade.
The duo dynamic between Teddy and Kevin is phenomenal. Both are learning from each other and sharing their energy with the world.
I think Kevin embodies the type of rich snobbery i would absolutely hate to have a normal conversation with.
Just my 2 cents but I think Kevin won this round. Especially after switching the Tudor for the Breitling. Teddy's collection wasn't as balanced afterward and Kevin has something for EVERY occasion. Great vid please keep them coming!
The Kevin/Teddy show just keeps getting better with each episode, you guys have great banter and chemistry. Very enjoyable to watch. You both made excellent choices for your five watch collection, but I will give Kevin the win here.

This has been the best collaboration I’ve seen from these two. All the commentary is on point and Kevin really surprised me in this video. I graduated from high school recently and I’m aspiring to buy two watches from brands that have been discussed by the both of you. These brands being Tissot and Hamilton. Teddy’s selection was great, but, the sheer variety of Kevin’s dials cases and price points take the win this time. For next time I think that Teddy should go more out of the box with some IWC, Omega, Rolex, Hamilton, Tissot, Rado and other brands that are usually not in his repertoire. Love the video guys keep up the great work you two are an inspiration for aspiring watch collectors.
What Hamilton model are you interested in? My first piece that got me hooked into collecting was a Khaki Field Auto. They make great watches

By nabbing that gorgeous Breitling, Kevin comes out on top! They also make a Burgundy dial "Boutique only" version of the Breitling which would be my choice. Really like how the numerals at 2, 4 , 8 and 10 are truncated to allow for the sub-dials.
There was a burgundy at my towns Breitling boutique and my friend works there. So I’d always go visit him and he always let me put it on. I think it’s only like 250 pieces but it finally sold from his store

I always enjoy the videos of Kevin and Teddy together, but this one was my favored. This time I think Kevin killed it, fantastic pieces and the swap at the end was also a great choice. The message at the end was also critical and an excellent advice. I just got my first watch, a classic mechanical Orient, very simple but less that 300 dollars.

I think the Tudor swap really messed up Teddy's selection because he now has two blue face dials that are too similar. Having the pistachio chrono was a nice change. I think Kevin did him dirty with that move.

Nice work putting Mr. Wonderful in his place, very tough collection comparison, surprised no one jumped on that super hot Tissot Powermatic 80 when you guys passed it. I will say you came out on top when he made the fatal mistake of trading that Tudor for the Breitling. The Breitling is beautiful but I also own the 41mm version of that Tudor, so I’m biased. Glad you guys had a good one in there. Looks amazing!

Breitling has always been my favorite watch brand, not only are they affordable but as someone who had dyslexia as a teen and struggled with reading watches quickly, i very much enjoyed their Airwolf and Aerospace models that feature a small digital screen and are perfect to wear casually every day.

Kevin stealing that Breitling might've just edged it for him. The dials really are spectacular. Top 3 watches for me would be the IWC, Breitling and the amazing GO diver. Still, if it was my money, I'd have to go for Kevin's collection. Without the steal it might've gone the other way.

The vintage Rolex that Kevin chose is absolutely stunning. Kevin's picks overall i prefer, especially after the swap.
I don't normally get the rolex hype, frankly i'd take a homage over the real deal for the price, but damn that vintage explorer 2, that's got something you just couldn't imitate.
Problem with a lot of homages is they're not even water resistance, and getting parts to fix them can be a problem
@@nikkimiddlekillsday5161 Tbf quite a few homages are well made and offer 100m water resistance, as for parts to fix them, why bother, the watch itself cost less than the service you're meant to do on a rollex to keep in good condition, just buy a new one.
@@donmongoose you see that right there is why you shouldn't do homages, the point of owning a watch isn't to keep getting another one if it breaks and it WILL there's just no avoiding that. Not to mention that 100 meters is just resistant against normal wear like the shower or maybe the pool. I can't tell you how many homage Rolexes I've fixed, they're not as bad as they used to be but they're not made to last and all that money you waste buying another one could have been put towards a authentic pre-owned one
@@nikkimiddlekillsday5161 I'll start off by saying as far as water resistance goes, all I care about is it being splash/sink proof, I can't swim so anything else is surplus. Secondly, your maths is way off. I bought a seiko mod kermit style for £290. The rolex version costs around £16,000 - £19,000. Sure, if I had Kevin's money I'd get the Rolex but I don't and I could replace this cheap watch every year for the next 30 and still wouldn't have spent as much.

Right on Kev. I'm going gentleman Tissot green purely because it's my favorite color and it's Swiss and affordable to me. I choose the Tissot over Hammy because of the dial. I'm not crazy about the Hammy dial. I like a clean easy to read dial. My favorite is this Tissot gentleman with solid gold and illum middle hands. For me, no doubt, Tissot Gentleman sillicium green.
Its absolutely amazing to me how mechanical watches have once again gained such popularity. In fact, the enthusiasm seems much greater than ever. I never wanted to fix these as a career because I didnt want to destroy my love and satisfaction of bringing back to life a broken watch. However, since there are so few watchmakers today, the business is incredible. So much so that I cant handle it all and I am having trouble recruiting someone that wants to, and has the capability of learning the trade. Be careful now of fakes. The Chinese machining has become so accurate it is nearly impossible for anyone, including most in the trade to tell the difference. Soon, in order to spot a fake, we are going have to look exclusively for hidden machining anomalies on the movement that even Rolex themselves never intended.
How'd you get started?
@Joshua Verni Started working for a wholesaler putting crystals in watches on jewelers row in Philly mid 80's. Got interested in repairing quartz watches since the older watchmakers hated them. So I fixed their quartz watches and they taught me mechanical. Moved to Florida with an EE degree in hand but ended up working for an aircraft instrument manufacturer fixing/building their instrument panel chronographs.
Kevin’s steal at the end put him over the top! Without the pistachio dial he doesn’t win. The red strap on the Hamilton is the bomb! ❤
