these are just lovely; I've been listening on repeat since making the discovery last week! That's about 40 hours of Lanzetti now, and still loving it - and simply can't bear to stop listening, so for now will have to continue...! I too had never heard of this composer. Thank you Brilliant Classics.
@martin lawrence you posted I quote tits. Uh... yea.... my tongue got harder than..... well, y'know... that other thing. The difference between "erotic art" and "porn". After posting that, if I said I came for the music, would anyone believe me?
At around 1:36:00-ish and beyond, I realized just how brilliant is the performer. The hours, the long and unrewarding hours this musician must have sacrificed at the altar. "Enter, son, into the joy of your lord." Or this: Perhaps some struggling cellist asked a composer friend to put something together that would stretch him; stretch him such that when he returned to his customary proportions, he would be deeper, higher, wider, stronger and richer than before as he caressed his instrument and continued...
As a professional cellist and cello teacher I had never heard of these sonatas. Where can I find the music? The organ accompaniment adds such a lovely sound to that of the cello. Thanks for making these works known.
Beautiful! I'd never heard any of these pieces, yet they've quickly joined my cello favorites. Excellent performances and recording. Thanks, Briliant Classics!
Another magnificent discovery - "new" composer, wonderful performance. BC deserves every possible compliment for these presentations of fine music, otherwise too widely overlooked. Thanks!
I particularly like the fact that many of these performances include an organ, as the harmonies often are more distinct than if a harpsichord is used. Thank you for making this rarely-performed music available!
Yeah, the execution of the continuo was often left to the performers’ discretion, and positif organ is a nice choice here. Also, period harpsichords weren’t all as jangly and overbearing as the Buicks and Humvees that Wanda Landowska preferred to advocate.
Well this is a bit of a shock,as I have never heard of the composer Salvatore Lanzetti . This is excellent , I clearly have a lot to explore, thank you.The performance is exquisite.
@@neilwilkinson4284 Hello Neil from here in north Wales, it's nice to know I have a cousin who also loves the cello :-) I like music from most genres, moreso when it includes a cello or acoustic bass. My current favourite album is a sort of mystical progressive, by a band called OM, it is called "Advaitic Songs",it is nothing like anything I have ever heard before, it is quite odd but it includes a cellist and viola player for atmosphere, and there is a hell of alot of it. If you fancy a listen try the video of the track Gethsemanie, a visual and musical experience.Have you come across the album "The Cello" by Klaus Schultz very profound listening. Another interesting recording is by Robert John Godfrey of the music of William Arkle, which has never previously been heard. Sorry I am rabbiting on as usual, thanks for the reply, cheers.
@@ianwilkinson4602 Hello, I appreciate the referral to the Om group. The Advaitic Songs are thoroughly enjoyable and evocative. As it happens, I have been an admirer of chorale in all manner of forms starting more years ago than I care to acknowledge. My dad found an lp called "Gregorian Chants," that we played enough to wear down the grooves (Yes, there was a time when our music arrived in grooves). That eventually put me on to composers like William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, the Bachs, and so on. This is a nice addition, thanks very much. All the best, Neil

Amazingly beautiful. Mesmerizing. One day I must dedicate hours playing this on my cello. Right now I have so much work to do before that day finally arrives. I love these pieces. Thank you very much for sharing it with us. It is like a dream! 🥰🪄🎻
Thanks, amazing Lanzetti Cello Sonatas music tune. Sounds of silence, peace and light the mind n heart. Perfect combination of sounds n music! Infinite love!🎧🎶
Its hard for me describe what the cello stirs in me, but this music settles for me that I'm in a cello phase! The most beautiful sounds. Thanks for sharing.
A music teacher told the class way back in high school that the cello was the string instrument that most closely matched the human voice range. I still love the Cello and also it's father the Viola da Gamba.
At long last Lanzetti was required for evidencing me how wonderful Cello was and naturally the magnificent music coming from the instrument! Lanzetti music is surprisingly as beautiful as the sculpture of the beautiful woman. But Lanzetti's music uploads on YTM is very few.Why can't BC fill the void with more Lanzetti uploads? You maybe waiting for a similar sculpture , which during my earlier avatar with single 'a' after' k' in my second name had attracted severe criticisms of so many commentators . I am content with Lanzetti's charming music though.Gracias.
I love that photo for the cover, I have see her in real several times.....and in my opinion she is one of the best sculptures to see. great choice!! :)

A perfect company to a gray, rainy, and gloomy day in the depth of the Covid-19. The suffering of humanity is quite expressive on the face of the sculpted woman.
I thought she had quite a tranquil, meditative expression; it's quite interesting, the different subjective interpretations that are evoked by the same sculpture/piece of artwork
Or perhaps the authenticity of human emotion surrounded by circumstance facilitated by political machinations at such a level of brazen-ness that we do not even recognize it slapping us in the face.
The statue I see, combined with wonderful cello performance, is the most beautiful representation of the European female form. To come to this opinion, I researched and discovered hd photographs. There I viewed interpretations of artists who cast their works in stone. This makes me proud of my roots.

Thanks for the brilliant channel. Would you please add dates to title pictures and the title line itself? That will look: Lanzetti ((c.1710 - c.1780) ) Cello Sonatas. Also the date for performance record can be useful too.

Baroque music in cello is so pacefull and beautiful
I'm an amateur cellist and am so thrilled to discover this magnificent recording!
They're wonderful pieces - especially since they are two celli - very bass-y sound
Me too^^
This composer is new to me as well. The music is great.
It's good to keep abreast of such music.
Just as he caressed his bow, a titter ran through the audience.
Cello is the instrument of the Angels, is the authentic Soul Music. Thanks to share
these are just lovely; I've been listening on repeat since making the discovery last week! That's about 40 hours of Lanzetti now, and still loving it - and simply can't bear to stop listening, so for now will have to continue...! I too had never heard of this composer. Thank you Brilliant Classics.
That amazing sculpture is from Antonio Corradini, what a good taste put it with this amazing music. ❤

Had to Google it, it doesn't seem possible to do a thing like that in stone.
This Is perfection, exquisite, brilliant, charming, yet profound and strong!!! Mesmerizing!!
Beyond description
Unfathomable attraction
Comfortable to the ear and the mind
My 1st exposure and I am thrilled! Mille Grazie
It's a honor to have his name!
I love when introduced to a classical artist.
Bless you for posting this, UA-cam for the algo, and the Composer.
Beautiful stuff mate.
As a professional cellist and cello teacher I had never heard of these sonatas. Where can I find the music? The organ accompaniment adds such a lovely sound to that of the cello. Thanks for making these works known.
Beautiful!! I play it every day!! Thanks a lot!! and greetings from the Netherlands!!

To me, the cello's voice is akin to having one's back scratched. I mean, really!
Beautiful! I'd never heard any of these pieces, yet they've quickly joined my cello favorites. Excellent performances and recording. Thanks, Briliant Classics!
Lanzetti is new to me - bold and charismatic- I'm converted.
Congratulations for your courage, to abandon your previous faith. Merry Christmas.
Another magnificent discovery - "new" composer, wonderful performance. BC deserves every possible compliment for these presentations of fine music, otherwise too widely overlooked. Thanks!
beautiful set. so much to listen and enjoy. only Brilliant Classics can pull off such a feat these days. other labels have given up any competition
Glad you enjoyed it
Exquisite, beautiful.....precious. And to think I rarely have listened to Cello exclusively.
Si notano gli anni di studio..BRAVISSIMO
Splendid performance!!!,.. Definitely, I'm pretty sure many of us would enjoy this one... 👍👍👍🎼🎼🎼❤️❤️🎼🎼❤️❤️🎼🎼
Well said, cousin!
Sorry I am rabbiting on as usual,
thanks for the reply, cheers.
@@ianwilkinson4602 Hello,
I appreciate the referral to the Om group.
All the best,
Neil
@@ianwilkinson4602 I am next onto "The Cello." More later.
@@ianwilkinson4602 Found and am beginning to listen to "The Cello." This is smart, tight, and interesting music.
Sublime, the music and the performance ! Thanks !
Yet another wonderful unknown Italian composer. Stunning music. Thanks.

This is so beautiful. I am pretty much new to the Classical music and pieces like this is the reason i falling hard for it. Ty for upload.
Amazingly beautiful. Mesmerizing. One day I must dedicate hours playing this on my cello. Right now I have so much work to do before that day finally arrives. I love these pieces. Thank you very much for sharing it with us. It is like a dream! 🥰🪄🎻
I encourage you and fully believe in you!
Thanks, amazing Lanzetti Cello Sonatas music tune. Sounds of silence, peace and light the mind n heart. Perfect combination of sounds n music! Infinite love!🎧🎶
Incredibly beautiful..! ♡
Beautiful.
WOW! brilliant, thanks for introducing me to such an exceptional composer! Best to listen while working. It's so stimulating.
Our pleasure!
THANK YOU SO MUCH BRILLIANT! I DO LOVE CELLO AND THIS IS DELICIOUS.
I am content with Lanzetti's charming music though.Gracias.
excellent way to start the day

A perfect company to a gray, rainy, and gloomy day in the depth of the Covid-19. The suffering of humanity is quite expressive on the face of the sculpted woman.
I send you hope with the loving feeling we can have with music. Completly agree with you for the sculpted woman. Cheers from France.
i'm not sure she's suffering, it looks more like she is enjoying herself than anything.
Suffering?! More like an ecstasy! the lady is trying to conceal it without luck!
Lanzetti is even better than Bach! I just listen on repeat :-)))I l love as well the lady sculpture ;-)

The statue I see, combined with wonderful cello performance, is the most beautiful representation of the European female form. To come to this opinion, I researched and discovered hd photographs. There I viewed interpretations of artists who cast their works in stone.

SALVATORE LANZETTI
{ NAPLES 1710~1780 TURIN }
« LANZETTI : CELLO SONATAS «
