    Rolling around thinking that someone needs to inform the community of doing things half stepping backwards. This beautiful car is an example of not going all the way. It is nice but I wish it would have been done all the way. I am showcasing what needs to be done and why it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

    For all the people that watch this video and think that I'm hating please re-watch it, listen to what I'm saying and then come at me if there's a debatable subject. If not, then you have to look into yourself to figure out who is really hating. For those curious on what I meant about better investments check out this video by Rick Ross---

      I'm completely with you. Like I stated short-term effects aren't what I'm talking about. For your example, yeah you can do that a few times without damaging anything immediately, but then I have to ask how many times can you do it before you do damage something? I'm about it, I push limits everyday. But my Outlook is a bit different and my finances are a little different so I can't speak for everybody on my risks, I'm just pushing long-term, longevity of a vehicle information that can help all budgets.

    I’ve rode big wheels on almost every whip I’ve owned... Neva had a suspension issue or transmission issue... the brakes be aight but I will say when they wet it takes more pedal to slow it down...a car setup like this is meant to drive and cruise not hardcore driving....this is not a 6 hour highway cruiser... not enough tire to cover bad roads

      Adrian Harvey Hey Adrian thank you for your comment. I agree with you and that's why I do like it but there are certain components that typically are changed or needs to be changed. Yet it all depends if it's a weekend warrior drive it till the wheels fall off if it's a daily driver typically things do need to be upgraded and you may not have issues with it of course immediately nothing will go wrong but it's just like buying a new car it isn't the first owner that has the problems it's the second or third on her a hundred thousand plus miles later. I don't like hearing people talk bad about nice cars. But he's actually 100% correct in what he said. When you do 22s or above you need bigger brakes. When when you raise your vehicle, this means trucks too, you need a better transmission and driveline. You will ruin your car otherwise.

      @Mr. KTU101 Good morning! Not initially. It depends on the couple factors whether you're talking about big rims low profile tires or big rims and off-road style tires. Also your intended use. Whether it's a dually or single wheel base. None-the-less no short-term effects aren't the problem with upgrading rims or anything else. I would recommend upgrading brakes, adding a transmission cooler fan if it doesn't have one, and talk to a tuning shop about reprogramming your shift points in the transmission. That way you could have longevity without complications. But let's say you're only going to keep the car for a year, it wouldn't be you that would feel the backlash it'll be the next owner or the next owner. I see what he saying. A lot of folks do this to older cars......that aren't really meant for how they are trying to make it look. If you got a 95 caprice and put 26"s on it? Of course upgrades should be in play. Cuz in 1995 there was no such as 26"s on cars. When you see a late model car with high mileage and they only want to sell it for $800.00 or so....it was probably a victim of what he's saying. I have a 2020 on 26"s and did a 2/4 drop to cut fender gap. Thats all I needed cuz its a truck. Real talk....anything bigger than a 22 should be on a truck or suv. These new vehicles can handle that shit cuz manufacturers are keeping up with style. Plus now u can buy em' brand new with shit that. Next time you see a car wit big ass rims? Listen to it roll by if you can. And you will definitely know what he saying.

      It's very few, and far in between that I get somebody who understands what I'm saying when I say that. It can be done but especially old cars, they sincerely just are not made for it. they can be and that's not the problem what it is is most people never take into consideration the full aspect of putting this type of stuff on your car. Again I will publicly say I actually like it, but there is a right way in a wrong way to do it furthermore there is far better things you can spend your money on that produces instead of just consumes. It's a breath of fresh air to have somebody see my point of view glad they're still logic in the world. Thanks for the comment

    Factors affecting braking to point where you need an upgrade is weight and increase engine power... while wheel diameter do affect the load and torque require to turn these wheel ... it only applies when the wheel diameter (not the rim) is increase drastically...2" overall diameter increase is max anyone should go but it's best to increase rim diameter and reduce tyre profile.
    Another thing ...these extra large rims are for show and aren't normally driven at high speeds

      Hey partner I don't think it's a bad ideal to have big rims and stuff I do feel it's a bad investment and you could put money into something else. But this big car used to be used as a police vehicle they can definitely do over a hundred miles an hour. Now how safe it does it is another question. If you put all aspects clear into perspective it can be done if the right amount of work is done. This video is about why this isn't as professional as it could be and how doing it half step causes more problems in the long run. I personally have lifted trucks but it's because of the business that I'm in. I hate to see a truck that's lifted just to be lifted just like I hate to see a car dropped just to be dropped. I practice a smooth fusion of form and function. I'm just trying to get everybody else on board for practicality purposes. Hot rods are dope. 😂Thanks for the comment!

I would never go anything past 22 because honestly I would beg the question if you really need 24 or 26. Anything past 22 my opinion is going to have negative long term affects either way. I’m happy with the 22’s I have on now. I just have to beef up the brakes a bit. I have a strong transmission that was build for Jeeps and decent engine (V6 LOL).
    But yeah, I think a majority of people who put 24 or 26 inch wheels on their car need to realize that this is not a efficient and economical decision, good for show. Not for everyday driving.

      The worst part about it is if we as a people pull our money together to build something then we all could eat exactly the same.... Not talking socialism but socially engineering ourselves so not only can we all build but all grow simultaneously. It's weird because if you really think about it if you can't afford it why would you do it? Or even try to do it until you could adequately afford it? I respect the thought and understand it but it seems that there's far better things we could be focusing our energy on than stunting. Even if we did focus our energy on stunting it still seems that we could all do it in all help each other do it successfully so not one person is above another but equal collective conscious. As a Florida I see this shit all the time, and not gonna lie there is so many negatives why installing big rims on cars and especially sport cars and supercars are very bad mechanically. Not only you can't turn the wheel easily like you use to, you are also stressing the transmission which will result in slower response time than usual and your cars also drives slower than it's factory default design aswell.

      That's cool but the problem is you're just going to go through a lot of work putting them on and taking them off. Plus when you have a lifted car on factory wheels it looks crazy 😅 it's all up to personal preference there's a few things I would say would make it make more sense. For instance if you had hydraulics or airbags where you can adjust the ride height then take them off and put them on all you want. It will affect the alignment but it would look a lot better and be a lot more functional over the Long haul. I don't think it would be bad either if it was not a daily driver you can put the big rims on it if you're going a few miles up the road and back one day a week or something I still think it doesn't make sense unless you're using it to generate income but that's just my personal opinion I appreciate the comment ✌🏿

    • @Fasttowpro
      @Fasttowpro  2 роки тому +1

      Hey! I'm down with big rims. Especially being in the south, it makes since too, it's apart of the culture. There are serious pitfalls in the movement of the big rims though. What your co worker talks about are big facts. One of the reasons it has that problem is because the tires are to thin and its basically riding on the rim and not the tire itself. On the other hand in a truck you have options because you can run a bigger tire and still have a big rim. It wouldn't look as good depending on who your talking to but you could safely do it with very few mods to the suspension, if any depending on how big the truck is. You typically wouldn't have the same issues as your coworker because there is a huge difference from doing big rims on a car to doing it on a truck. It's personally preference and how much money you want to spend on upgrades, and maintenance. Count the cost wisely. Thanks for the comment!

      It really depends on a few factors but you can get away with it you're probably going to need to lift it about three plus inches to have clearance without scrubbing which once you go into suspension I recommend upgrading a few parts for the motor and transmission. Also for the brakes bigger calibers and rotors would be nice but not a necessity. Also it depends on how you drive if you're only doing this for a weekend car almost factory will work but if you plan on making it a daily driver I say check out some of Donk Masters vehicles and you'll get an understanding on what it really takes

You can't argue an opinion, only express it. Obviously you hate on big wheels and that's fine! Why the reluctance to admit it? In your world no one would drive at all because they are going to eventually need new brakes. Big rims have hidden costs and opportunity costs; you are correct, we agree! Your addressing car enthusiasts like they're children completely unaware of what they're doing. They are aware of the cost and the enjoyment it buys them, the same way some have to have the latest phone. Value is the concept and it's a subjective concept. Debating the concept of value objectively is not possible and the persistence of such is the mother of the concept we call "hating".

You said "I know that people are going to say I'm hating, but...." and proceeded to form and deliver exactly what you and everyone else for that matter knows to be "hate", but ONLY because of the style of your delivery!

You and I are both entitled to like whatever we want. It seems as if you're agreeing with me when you say there are better things we can invest in. Furthermore I perpetuated the idea that if you're going to do it you should go all out and do it right.
      Ie: bigger brakes, transmission cooler (front mount), possible forced induction but not necessary, air ride but also not a mandate.
      I have went into this example time and time again and pointed out one of my hometown style heroes Donk Master. While he may be stunting he is making money providing a service that provides something back to the world. Not just oh look at me I have money or I have big rims or music or whatever. That is precisely the point. We as a people and I'm specifically talking about colored people like myself seem to not get past this look at me ideal. You or anybody else could take it how they want to and I would gladly debate this in person. it's not my job to tell somebody what to do with their money but I will say what I will say to help us enhance as a people.
      So while this may have came off as hating which was not my intention I honestly do like the car. as I stated at the end of the video which I did watch again I could have gave better tips on ways to make it last longer by doing the actual examples I just told you about.

    • @Fasttowpro

      Well that's the difference. You're speaking of $10,000 wheels, and you're also stating that you do not daily drive these. I'm not sure where you're located but here in Central Florida this is everyday thing. Like I said whether you look at it as hating or not, there is far greater ways to spend money and cheaper ways to have fun. To view this as fun and not a plea for admiration of your fellow man is a misconception. But hey that's the name of the game I guess it's in every culture only a small percentage of people on the planet get even what I'm saying so I expect resentment for my statements. but if you really think about what I'm saying go back in my description and watch the video that I linked to Rick Ross maybe it'll start to open up the pineal gland.. Thank you!! Some people have certain taste in styles and some of don’t use these cars as everyday work vehicles. Once again it’s a culture thing just like some cultures choose to lower the cars some choose to put monster truck tires on either way do what you want and enjoy your taste. I agree with the facts of the video regarding upgrades but as long as you get your upgrades and don’t depend on the car for go to everyday car you’ll be fine.

    • @Fasttowpro
      @Fasttowpro  4 роки тому

      I'm not a Master tech on paper but working towards it. I understand the premise taking a car and customizing it. but tasteful modifications professionally done and slapping something together or as you know two major different things. I have quite a few cars that I have going through myself but take pride in doing all necessary and sometimes unnecessary modifications for peak performance and longevity. I respect the culture and I am personally a part of it. There are main ideas in this video I wanted to showcase: one being the ideal that they are far better investments then customizing a car. 2. if you are going to do it it's in best interest for safety and longevity to go all out and do all necessary upgrades including brakes, suspension, motor drivetrain. 3rd and lastly, the people like Donk master, with in and out customs, gets paid to do this. while I thoroughly enjoy watching it I cannot help but feel it is a big waste of money unless you are advertising or promoting a company in which produces revenue. I link a video to Rick Ross in the description trying to articulate the idea behind the video and what I was really trying to say. Some people took it good other people thought I was hating but all in all the message still remains the same. Sorry for such a long-winded comment but I appreciate your comment and wanted to go further into it for anybody else who also read this. Send me a link to your channel I love to see your build.

      Hey what's going on? My bad for the late response yeah you can put it on there just make sure you go over the brake system, transmission cooling system and verify your suspension is holding steady. If I'm not mistaken that had air ride on that year.

    Extremely bad take to be honest. Who are you to say what he should be spending his money on. If there is something that we need to fix as a people it is bringing each other down. There are people of many races and cultures who spend money on cats and customize them in their own way just as impractical as this, hydraulics, wild negative cambered cars to the point of scraping, lifted trucks to the ceiling, sqaured trucks, you nane it. I know you're trying to play it off but your video is hate you wanted to revird his car not because you like it but because you don't and you think he should be spending his money on other things, " i would take it for free" just be real good day

      @Fasttowpro  13 днів тому

      Very interesting perspective you add. Not sure what you mean by, "extremely bad take." I'm going to try to go by this in chronological order so I can answer what your opinion is. None of this is shade but glad to have a conversation about it. I am not anyone to tell anyone how to spend money but I do know how to spend it profitably that brings a positive return on every dollar that goes out. This is very discouraging for somebody who doesn't know the difference between assets and liabilities...Or who does and simply doesn't care. This may come off as putting someone down but it's the furthest things from it. It's tough to watch somebody work a 9:00 to 5:00 and spend a quarter of the yearly salary on a vehicle that depreciates in value over time. I'm a concerned citizen for the well-being of " our people." So while I may not have room to talk I will still pop knowledge where it's needed. I'm extremely into the car culture If you watch my channel you will see I have ran through quite a few myself but there's different motives that actually bring me money back from doing so. If you really want to help our people you would enlighten them on ways to empower us economically so we can get out of the ruts we've been in for the last few hundred years. I don't know what your ethnic background is and it doesn't matter. Financial literacy is financial literacy there's no shade to it. Also I said multiple times in the video I actually like the car and I wasn't being sarcastic I wouldn't put the money into it but I would drive it. Go back and listen again. This is not just for our people either. I get it out the mud and while I can afford to do this as well, I see very very little positive upside to it. Unless you're doing it for marketing or some positive cash producing ideal. Either way, thanks for the comment. What do you drive by the way?

    Perhaps a good video topic would be to talk about WHY we seek external affirmation from stangers accordingly. This is deep and needs urgent adddressing at the core. Treating symptoms while avoiding the cause (all puns intended) is our collective crisis in both dimensions of this cycle.
    We are all the same; we are all one. You are living one of infinite lives SIMULTANEOUSLY. I am you and you are me. To achieve immortality we duplicate ourselves. This has always been. You are made of the same exact atoms as me and the trees and rocks. The legos that build all things are what we are.
    The concept of linear time is a grand tool of deception. Time is cyclical. There is no beginning or end.
    We are the Earth. The Earth exists in our solar system as an electron orbiting a star. Exactly the same as the billions of atoms that make a single grain of sand. The same exact ratio of empty space in "outer space". The Earth is only one of billions of electrons orbiting around a nucleus. There are billions of Earths in every universe and every universe is just another grain of sand. The entire universe as you know it is but one grain of sand. And the dust on your phone thats hard to see is yet more "universes". It goes higher and lower and within each other sideways. Size creates the illusion of time, but it's never linear!
    The same exact atoms that make up your physical body have been recycled countless times! "You" are not your body! Billions of trillions of souls have already lived in a body made up of YOUR current body. It's not actually yours but a temp rental vehicle more so.
    There is no right and wrong because they only exist in direct relation to eachother. There is no life and death, only creation and forever. Your vehicle gets recycled so another soul can become. A soul is like a single memory in the brain of "God". It's far more accurate to describe God as all, rather than something.
    Good luck with your channel!

      Your obviously a fellow infinite Waters deep diver🙌🏿 and I agree wholeheartedly with what I read that you wrote. That message is so deep, we can't just come out and say that in the most people.. while I would like to have those types of conversations I did not build the channel with that as the foundation. While I do try to portray a deeper message through the car world, I realize you have to meet people where they are. What is your IG?

      Like I said in the video I actually like it I'm a die-hard fan of old school Chevrolet and I love the bubble Chevy there's just a right way and the wrong way to do it plus there is far better things to invest your money in instead of showing off for people and you don't like or maybe you do like them but either way if it's not going to directly or indirectly create additional revenue or help somebody out I just don't see the point but I appreciate your comment,✌🏿

    • @Fasttowpro
      @Fasttowpro  3 роки тому +1

      I definitely agree 26's and up have become the standard. But I believe that's where the disconnect starts because just because you can buy the rims don't mean that you can afford to maintain everything else that's associated with it. Some people can and that's great but there's a lot more that comes with it than just slapping them on and letting it rock and roll which I believe most people fall short of thanks for the comment.

  • @rhurtadorh32
    @rhurtadorh32 4 роки тому

    You took this video out of context. First of all you dont need slotted driiled rotors all you need premium brakes which are not expensive. 2 chevy caprices are v8 engine cars so they do have more than enough power torque to pull weight. The only thing that would get messed up will be your suspencion and that everyone knows that even if you put 20s, tie rods ball joints control arms if equipped. But a car like this its not intented to drive it all crazy its common sence. And your talking about how to invest money better??? Its there money to begin with you can use your cash how ever you want to use it and people will use theres how they want. Ive been using 22s rims on a dodge magnum 5.7 with a sound system for 5 years and barely till last october i did my suspencion yeah 5 years later so what does that say??? Ill wait for your reply

    • @Fasttowpro
      @Fasttowpro  4 роки тому

      I couldn't let this one slide I appreciate your commentary. so the video is an out-of-context let's start with your first statement.you don't need cross drilled or slotted rotors to be able to upgrade brakes but it is extremely helpful to have an extra way to dissipate the heat being generated from the additional stopping force that the bigger rims are going to create that's physics. so the next portion to this is saying that the suspension will get messed up which is not entirely true. what I was saying is it will prematurely feel because whether you put rims on it or not it will still fail over time. Bigger wheel faster problem easy equations of solve more weight less turning radius less stopping power. Older cars can handle things that newer cars can't and vice versa. The old LT1 motor was not the best small block made. So while it could handle that load, the efficiency drops even more from his already poor design. A hemi 5.7 l is leaps and bounds over an old LT1 350 5.7 l. And I'm not rooting for Dodge I'm just saying but it's still comparing apples to oranges because you're taking a new design and comparing it to an old design. So I'm not sure what part you think is out of context but the last thing we need to address is ways to invest money. If you're not already tree in some sort of passive income and putting rims on your car you're probably got your priorities messed up. Listen to any financial guru and they will tell you so. I am no expert but I know enough and I've been through enough to tell you why it is stupid to put big rims on your car unless it's a marketing ploy. I'm self-employed I'm not sure if you are or not but most self-employed people realize a good business expense and unless your business is generated by flashy cars with big rims or loud music you're pissing in the wind. so do me a favor go back to the top of my description click the link and listen to Rick Ross said who also likes big rims just like myself but understands there are better ways to place your funds. I hope this comment reply was to your satisfaction sir or ma'am 😎

      I see these alot and like the way it looks. I wouldn't trip if it had at least a 5.7L Hemi. I would still upgrade the suspension and braking system but it wouldn't hurt. Still doesn't serve a big purpose but I do like the look.

      What size rim would not mess up the car on a v6 ?

    • @Fasttowpro
      @Fasttowpro  4 роки тому +1

      @@danielcabrera142 it isn't as much of it messing up the car but having a bigger and heavier will will change your gear ratio because it takes more force to be able to turn the wheels. That's just speaking on the motor and the transmission and the differential. The hemi can handle it pretty easily. With V6s you probably be smoother for a longer time with a 20-inch wheel. But those cars look really good with 22 and 24s and up. But don't forget about the suspension, transmission cooler, all your fluids from the differential to the engine and upgraded brakes. it can be cumbersome to do all the extra work but the upgrades will outlive the car if done correctly.
