Chocolate Cupcakes with Chocolate Buttercream - 4 chocolate cupcakes

small batch cupcakes - makes only 4 cupcakes- chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frosting!
recipe:
sift together
4 tablespoon all purpose flour
2 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
in a microwave safe bowl add
2 tbsp semi sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 + 1/2 teaspoon canola or vegetable oil
microwave for 15 seconds
mix it around
microwave again for 10 more seconds
mix until smooth
add 4 tbsp sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
mix until smooth
mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp hot water
mix until smooth
line cupcake pan with 4 cupcake liners
add batter
bake at 350°F for 16 to 19 minutes
insert a toothpick in the center of the cupcake
if it comes out clean cupcakes are done
allow cupcakes to cool down all the way before frosting!
chocolate buttercream frosting:
in a bowl add
4 tbsp unsalted butter - softened
whisk for 30 seconds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup powder sugar
1 + 1/2 teaspoon heavy cream or milk
mix until smooth
pipe frosting in a piping bag and swirl on the cupcakes
