People, 28, SEESAW, First Love,… Song he produced (not BTS) that I like: Eternal Sunshine by Epik High, Wine by Suran, Eight by Epik High, and That That by PSY (ft. and produced by Suga)
This song and the mv had me in a chokehold. Not only did Yoongi's acting get MUCH better (and he was already literally a pro), but the entire cinematography backs it up. The song is a banger, no doubt. But the mv is so fascinating. In Daechwita, he killed the blond Agust D because he was too corrupt with anger and resentment. Agust D couldn't take it anymore. But in Haegeum the Agust D scar ended up as corrupted as the blonde Agust D. It's interesting that the new Agust D basically started the mv by killing a person and ending with the memory of it. Agust D is a trilogy because Yoongi was finally able to unite with Suga and Agust D. They are no longer apart because he learned to embrace all of his feelings. In this MV, the new Agust D. is a vigilante and violent villain because that's what Agust D is. But instead of just killing the scarred Agust D, who in this narrative, is a corrupt secret agent, (as happened to the blonde Agust D), he ALSO burned the money scar that Agust D had. My interpretation, which may not be correct. 🤣. Finally, cheers to SUGA for yet another unique work of art.👏❤
He said this is his final Aug D because he’s forgiven those that mocked him and Aug D was his persona when he lived in anger. He has grown up, us closing this chapter and moving forward as Suga. Im happy hes found peace and loving the next chapter 💜🇺🇸
He’s killing the sort of high and mighty king/boss versions of himself. In daechwita he says the lyrics “I’m the king, I’m the boss.” But then in Daechwita he kills the king. In Haegeum he kills the (mafia) Boss. Now just Suga/Yoongi his more gritty, down to earth, more raw and real self remains.
bro he doesn't kill a mafia boss, the scar suga is a police officer, which represents the violent power those in power use against the poor and the underrepresented.
@@lennyanyn Oh dang!! Go in, thanks for correcting me!! So still a boss, but just a crooked cop at the head of his institution instead of a mafia boss (even more tragic). Because of the whole money thing I got confused, but a crooked cop could be just as likely as a mafia boss to have dirty money stashed somewhere. Thanks for your analysis!!!!
In his first mixtape, he was a blonde Agust D. Then in Daechwita, the king was the blonde Agust D, and D2 or black-haired Agust D with the scar killed the king. Now in Haegeum, D2 Agust D with the scar is the boss and has been killed by his 3rd persona. He mentioned that on this comeback there's a 3rd alter ego with a different name from Suga and Agust D.
Also, the money that he stole is from D2 Agust D with the scar. When his gang were fighting with the people at the start, you can see someone on the phone. Then on the next scene, D2 Agust D is also on the phone and he's being informed of the situation. That's why in the tub scene when he set fire on the money, D2 Agust D got mad and drowned him.
Suga said in a video when announcing the release the Album D-Day that when the music video for AMYGDALA comes out on April 25th that you must watch Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala in one sitting as I think it tells one complete story.
So many references. Mob boss Agust D is giving Scarface vibes, you know Tony Montana (song from his first mixtape). Pretty sure that's why he has that scar too. In that song, like Tony Montana, Agust D got greedy and wanted more and more success and money but he's afraid to become a monster in the process. Tony Montana was consumed by his greed for power, success, and money that led him to his demise; much like how he ended up on this mv. His 3rd persona also gives some Joker vibes. 😁 Can't wait for the Amygdala mv.
Agust D is literally talking about everything that is wrong in the world right now. Since hageum means also liberation of prohibition. He is really asking who's on board for the revolution, for the new world, for the new kingdom and to get on board now. So we can fix everything that is broken. This is a masterpiece. The lyrics and wordplay are incredible. This is what rap in my humble opinion should be. A way of making people aware of all the social, economical issues and more. And Suga just did that. Salute.
If you noticed the bald guy who was calling on the phone at the beginning when Suga and his gang went inside that place is the same guy who tried to drowned him at the last part but it turned out he was actually Suga’s ally. Basically the Head Police (Agust D) had the same fate in every life as the King in Daechwita. Both got betrayed.
So many refs to Daechwita :the gang, the market, the traditional instruments, chicken..... Also another Thailand ARMY (shout out to Sky_hxneul) was kind enough to educate us and explain that this was filmed in Thailand and that place is called the "Thief Market" Rattanakosin Island's ( Old name of Thailand from 1782-1892) and it was the first international shoping center in the period after the abolition of slavery.. This is how he explained it : so this market came to exist because when the people in the palace freed from slavery moved out of the palace, they received some goods from the master and also stole some They then brought those goods to sell them in this area. Now we know that Haegeum is a traditional instrument but also means the liberation of the prohibition..So many refs to Daechwita :the gang, the market, the traditional instruments, chicken..... Going from the ruthless King in Daewchita to the Corrupt Cop now in modern times… this was amazing storytelling and cinematography!!! And the lyrics are so hard and true about our society….Wow!
If you guys notice the scar has healed over from the way it looked in daechwita. and in both instances, it's the commoner yoongi rising up and killing the "ruler" yoongi. just my interpretation but i feel like he's "killing" himself befor he becomes too powerful and corrupt, since both "ruler" yoongis in daechwita and this mv are corrupt
He mentioned on IU Pallette that he sought to link bothcmixtapes into the progression of d day. So I think he pulled heavily from Tony Montana too. He wants to rule the streets but always winds up the boss. Just a different kind of incarnation
In his original song daechwita , august d with black hair kill the king when he behave badly towards his people, so I think when he became the boss he misbehave and acted badly became like a mafia so this august d also kill him it's like a chain ⛓️
@@m.m.9175 There is another theory, In song daechwita , august d kills the king when he behave badly towards his people. So the good one kills the bad one so it's like a chain ⛓️and now another bad one shows up , yoongi in the long hair and kill august d with a scar and became the new king again
Basically agust di is an alter ego that shows the angry side of him so he had forgiven and is no longer angry and that trigology of agust D has ended, ended by yoongi
I heard in a review that "Haegum" also means liberation. There is dual meaning with Yoongi's lyrics of course! In "Daechwita" he shot the mad king at the end. Amazing song!!! 💜
I assumed this as the parallel world of daechwita, just how he killed the tyrant king by team up with the butcher to make everything right again, here he was team up with the guy that drown him at the end of the mv to kill the corrupt police. I say corrupt police bc the moment he stole the money that guy calling the police so maybe it was the place where the police hides his money (notice how after he stole the money he gave a nods to the guy as he leaving) everything just went like how daechwita storyline.. OR there's this theory where the king is the blonde agust d from his first mixtape he killed by black haired agust d on d2 and now the black hair agust d is killed by suga, yk he said this is the last trilogy of agust d so suga with no scar unlike agust d he killed the agust d.. one time he says agust d is full of anger and so fed up but now he's forgive everyone and less angry maybe that's why he make sure to end everything here himself p.s black hair agust d on d2 is also have scars on his face (literally same scar and hair) and idk but the guy suga killed with chopsticks remind me to the butcher agust d 2 team up in daechwita that's why I think the second theory is also right
So basically the one that stole the money is (Suga duh) and the boss with the suit was (Suga) so the boss was trying to get the bad guy but the bad guy killed the boss. And ur welcome ☺️
Daechwita and Haegeum feels like lost twins because this feels like a pattern. Yoongi keeps killing off his old self (the king with a scar) when his self reaches the point of greed and corruption once again. He keeps doing it to bring himself back down to the ground so that the humble version of himself lives on instead of the one tainted with greed. He shot the king on Daechwita and shot him once again in Haegeum. That's why he mentioned that he forgave those people who hated them and want only to stay humble. BTS/YOONGI ARE THE MOST SELF-AWARE ARTISTS I'VE EVER KNOWN... like they knew something we don't, they know how dirty the industry works and that's why they don't get swayed so easily. They are not afraid to call out names and the industry. Slamming them for corruption and all. Taking all the risks of backlash they will get that may affect their career.
It's interesting how in Daechwita he killed the tyrant king. Here here killed the corrupted cop. Is it him trying to kill his corrupted part? It's also interesting how the also got "saved" here and in Daechwita bc he had actually an alliance with the guy that was supposed to kill him. Does it mean he couldn't do that without some kind of support? Well, that's quite interesting. First i thought it could even show how he became the corrupted cop. Since he ends the video carrying the other guy's suit.
I think it’s like holding one’s self accountable for their own imagination and thought. That’s why there are two yoongis. Also I think the one agust d is stealing the money from the capitalistic agust d and killing this version of him. The message could be: Don’t just follow what the media/whoever says and think for yourself. Is freedom a synonym for just living in overconsumption, in other words capitalistic/selfish?
My take is, whoever claimed to be a revolutionary, after tasting the power they will be a tyrant. As in politics. A ‘good’ politician will be the same as others people in power once they sit on the chair. The blonde Agust D, the rebel, becomes a tyranical king and killed by the eye-scar Agust D in Daechwita. The eye-scar then becomes a corrupt police (cmiiw) and then killed by the thief Agust D. I think Suga wants to remind himself not to bee to indulging in wealth and power, there will always be a new ‘heroes’ or ‘underdogs’ thats why he remind himself to keep humble.

It’s a trilogy of Agust D from Agust D the album, Daechwita from D-2 album and Haegeum from D-DAY album
In his original song daechwita , august d with black hair kill the king when he behave badly towards his people, so I think when he became the boss he misbehave and acted badly became like a mafia so this august d also kill him it's like a chain ⛓️

There is another theory, In song daechwita , august d kills the king when he behave badly towards his people. So the good one kills the bad one so it's like a chain ⛓️and now another bad one shows up , yoongi in the long hair and kill august d with a scar and became the new king again
Agree, except he has no scar, so it's Yoongi killing
Agust D.
Ele entregou tudo nosso yoongi nunca nos decpiciona ❤
He is the best mafia boss and undercover cup 👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yoongi nailed it 🔥

"He looks like he owns the city"
My mind: *flashes back to that Ukiyo fanfic* that is so accurate lol
King and the boss
His alter ego....it's amazing how he did this.
He ate and left no crumbs
