What is your opinion on the form of vitamine b1 called thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide, or TTFD? I bring it up because I;ve been told it's the most absorbable and therefore most potent of any form of vitamin b1.

Very true . My GP prescribed me opioid or NSaid painkillers. I don’t blame them they advised us what ever they learn in the old medical school book. Good doctor not easy to reach.
There was a Hong Kong Veteran survivor I had the privilege of getting to know who passed away in 2021 at 100 years young. He suffered from Beriberi from being held captive as a prisoner of war in the concentration camps for 4 (four) years between the age of 20 - 24 before they were liberated. They were basically giving rice when they were given food. I wish I could have told him about benfotiamine 20 yrs. before he passed away when I initially met him because he tried everything - except this. He's now no longer suffering in the spirit world.
@@DanielleRadicaninI doubt it can hurt you. I read that to cure a chronic problem, take 300 mg per day for 30 days then back off to 10mg per day. Pass it by your doctor. My doctor has approved everything I take.
B1 saved my life . I had only 30 minutes of energy a day of physical activity and thought i was going in the grave at 26 from long Covid . But now it’s reversed
Ive had long covid too...just started b1 hcl 300 mg a day. I feel very light headed...tired....my feet are warm with circulation which rarely happens. Did you feel tired at first with it...not a bad tired but a nap tired.
300mg per day, magnesium, bromelain, multi vitamin. Eat twice a day n at times light early dinner. Lost 15lbs. Going to physical therapy doesn't make difference. So now I need to Force myself to gym streches n light weights. Need movement retired few mo ago

Makes me laugh when I hear 'check with your doctor'. My doctor would just laugh me out of his office. If it's not on prescription, my doctor won't go for it. Great video, easy to understand and very informative.
I didn’t know about thiamine until 2014 when my friend was in the hospital for the third time detoxing from a drinking binge and on oxygen for COPD after chain smoking the whole time as well. After each detox he was ready to conquer the world and stay sober, but it only lasted for a week and the high would wear off. So this time I asked what was in his iv drip. I was told thiamine, niacin and electrolytes. When he got out I had already purchased these (and other) vitamins and he started them on the way home from the hospital. The niacin was only for the first few days, but he kept taking the b1 with b12, d3 and magnesium. He didn’t have a single craving to drink for the next six years. In the 7th year he began to smoke again and eventually his health declined. He passed quickly from cancer in ‘21. But for 6 years he was alcohol free which I attribute to b1.
@Hilhub You're a great friend to have gone to such lengths for someone you care about. If more people were like you, the world would be a better place. ❤
@@ethereal369 thank you 🙏 I wasn’t meaning to toot my horn - just hoping to make people aware that there’s a viable option to having to fall over and over. They don’t tell people these things in detox centers, or hospitals.

@@WhiteOak09 I started higher at 1000mg then went to 1500mg daily. I am looking for further dosing guidance as I am winging it with positive results. You didn't mention Tinnitus it works very well for that also I take 600mg a day and my Tinnitus has improved not gone or cured but the noise in my ear has reduced drastically so it's minimum most of the time and sometimes I don't notice it at all. Benfotiamine is excellent too for insomnia I always take it in evening or in the night a couple hours before bedtime. It has helped me with insomnia. More studies need to be done it's an excellent vitamin.
I really like your videos. Because of you I started adding D3 and K2 (m7) to my multi magnesium regimen. Now 1 of my auto immune diseases has gone into remission and 2 others have been reduced by 90 percent. So now I am trying B1 benfotiamine as well. @@Daves2024 Life Extension’s Boron! It comes with a bit of B2 (Riboflavin) because Boron depletes a little bit of your B2, so it’s a safe way to take it I think the dosages are 3mg Boron per pill, and I take 2x a day (morning and night). Sometimes 3x a day as people have reported taking Boron in higher dosages with very few side effects; it’s one of the safer supplements. Boron also naturally raises testosterone in men among other things! So what I’ve been taking for minor back pain is Vitamin D3, K2, Magnesium Glycinate (2x at night, sometimes more) and Boron. Strongly considering adding Benfotiamine and other B vitamins

Make sure it's the R- lipoic version. The randomized R and S lipoic acid version does not produce the best results. And with the R lipoic, you don't have to take as much mgs as the R and S combined version. That's what the studies indicate, and what some doctors recommend. 🌞
I also was prescribed pregabalin which helps with pain but also causes more insulin resistance which will increase the pain in time! I wish doctors were more educated
Benfotiamine is great. No more blurred vision, heart pains, and constipation. But it did cause me to lose hair at 300 mg per day for 3 months. So, I use 150 mg every other day in Powder form with food.

Supplementation with alpha lipoic acid is unfavorable in a thiamine deficiency; make sure that the vitamin B1 status is in order before using alpha lipoic acid. Alpha lipoic acid may lower vitamin B8 levels. Neuropathy can also be the cause of vitamin B12 deficiency! The cause is a greasy substance called Meyeline that surrounds the nerves and serves as a protective layer. When this substance is reduced, symptoms appear.
I am taking Benfotimine started low , I am taking now 1200 for a mounth then will go to 900 then 600 . My sleep is much better . Take it with magnesium . Thankyou very good vidio .
I started taking Benfotimide along with Alpha lipoic acid over a month ago, and I was shocked at how much better the neuropathy pain and restless leg syndrome subsided. I had to go off of it for two weeks because of some testing I was gonna have done and sure enough the numbness in my feet the prickly feeling the restless leg syndrome. All of it was coming back. I restarted taking it two days ago I haven’t seen much notable difference yet, but I’m confident that I will because it works so well the first time I started taking it recently.
Dr. Biernackie, I have several conditions that have contributed to suffering from Dry and Wet Beri Beri. I am really praying to get off bed rest and get going again! I am a gastric bypass patient, have had a severe bleed from a perforated ulcer about 6 years ago. After this bleed, my body started putting weight on to the point now I am back to pre bypass weight! We believe my body was triggered into starvation mode. The only thing that interrupted this weight gain was 3 months of Keto/20 carbs/day, exercise and fasting 22 hours a day! So now I am healed up from an Achilles tear, broken heel (screws and plate repair) and a shattered big toe amputation. Over this past 6 months I had edema and contracted a skin infection which required serious wound care and compression bandaging by nurse clinicians at the hospital. All told I have been off my feet for the better part of 2 years! I am Finally getting up and going. With my B1 and B12 defficiency as chronic as it is, I am hitting every angle I can. We did blood tests CBC, FBC and I now take the following supplements: (Dr. Recommended) B1 500mg - with 100mg magnesium Pure - Therapro B12 drops 3 types cobalamin (Methyl, Hydroxo, Adenosol) 1000iu 2x daily 1mg Folic Acid - daily 50mg Zinc - daily 650mg Ferrous Sulfate 20,000iu D3 Not Dr. Recommended: *Benfotiamine 300mg + L Leucine 40mg All but the Benfotiamine are recommended by my PCP. My biggest problem that I am looking for some hope on is I have ataxia and cannot balance when walking. I use a walker any time I walk more than 50 feet. Do you believe that this supplementation can overcome the ataxia and muscle instability? How long would you think is reasonable to believe I will feel better. I was sleeping 14 hours a day and any time I got up I would be wiped out tired in as little as 30 minutes! Then my muscles in my glutes and legs hurt for like a day after! I am very hopeful after seeing some of the testimonials. Since I started taking B1 a couple of weeks ago, I noticed night burning sensation in my feet has all but disappeared! I wonder if the triple threat B12 is helping there dramatically. I just pray it's not placebo effect! I want to get well. I would like to go back to a Keto/Carnivore 20 carb/day to drop this weight. I have seen that varying the fasting window helps to avoid long plateaus. Any advice you can throw my way I would appreciate! It sucks being such a mess physically!
that much zinc can deplete copper which you ar elikely already low in, copper also helps with iron absorption and may reduce or eliminate the nead for iron supplements if you're eating carnivore (with lots of red meat). folic acid can be problematic for some, look for methylfolate. other (methylated) b complex vitamins are also important (b2, niacin, etc.)
Took 1500 mg & within an hour my anxiety disappeared. I think i'll keep trying this higher dose & see how it goes. Maybe my burning skin will QUIT!!! FINGERS CROSSED!!
The only reason that this, and other medical channels, tell you to “check with your doctor“ is because they could be subject to legal liability if they don’t. It is a throwaway line, but they have to say it to protect themselves.
I have had tremendous success with some nerve formulas that contain benfo to fight MS nerve damage. It doesn't restore my long-dead nerves but really reduces pain and weakness in currently-decaying nerves. Howver, here's a warning from my experience : watch out for acidic, burning urine. I've had to experiment with different brands to find the right benfo dose to get maximum pain relief with minimum side effects.

Phosphatydl serine, in softgel form, can also greatly help with neuropathic related pain. Since it helps with brain activation, it helps with the proprioception of/ to the extremities, and even the mylen sheathe and the nerve fibers and nerve endings. So you function on all cylinders, so to speak, when you are walking and active. It's a real hidden gem in the nutraceutical realm. Great helps in many neurological related conditions. Even Alzheimer's and dementia, to a certain degree. 🌞

EONutrition has a lot of info on dosing, and there's an interesting vid with this Elliot Overton interviewing Daphne, who took B1 for 3 mo and improved her Parkinsons symptoms 80%. Some go into commplete remission. It's very good for IBS, slow or fast motility - some need to take 1,800mg/day (gradually) for say fibromyalgia, so the dose varies from person to person. My sister who has Parkinsons, has taken just 100mg sublingual B1 and she's seen some improvement in just one week.
He also sells his ebook for £57.00, not very nice considering he also sells supplements. I don't trust folk like him, driven by greed if you ask me. Why not have the ebook at around £10.00? It's not his research but based on others.
Thanks! I took 150 mgs. per day and it got rid of my uveitis. I recently upped it to 600 mgs. per day and my neuropathy is improving. I will try doubling that to see if it helps my fibromyalgia. Nothing has ever helped that except pain medications and I don't want to get addicted.
@@meagiesmuse2334 Dr. Eric Berg says to take 3x the dose it says on the bottle which might be too much for some but from what I gather from Elliot Overton, you need to take a larger amount for fibromyalgia. Dr. Berg highly recommends taking non-fortified nutritional yeast flakes along with the B1 to make it more effective. If the B complex is synthetic, you'll get cyanocobalamin which is bound to cyanide. You will more than likely get much help! If it were me, I'd get off sugar.

For muscle pain on my shoulders and neck from the weight of my clothes would you recommend Benfotiamine or berberine which also seems to have similar good affects. Best regards.
You may have to take lemon water first, to let your gall bladder release if youre low on stomach acid. That causes "neck jam" according to Dr. Berg. I had low stomach acid, neck myellitus caused by arthritus, and was gluten intolerant so I was not absorbing thiamine. My nerves in my back drew my muscles up into a knot and displaced a rib. Horrible pain below my right shoulder. First I tried B vitamins plus magnesium with slight improvement. 😅Gluten free diet was the second thing. Then the lemon water helped a lot. Finally benfotiamine is working much better on the nerve damage.

I randomly found another video that said this can help with SIBO, I tried regular thiamine HCL tablets months ago and it didn't seem to have any effect, just starting the benfo variety, I did not know it was so strongly potent compared to the usual stuff. I get numb spots on my hands sometimes when its a bit cold, and my hands are really sensitive to hot water / heat on some days but not others, I have no idea why. My original disease was chronic fatigue syndrome and after 5 years I started to get new symptoms which eventually turned into something I could later recognize as SIBO.
Great video. Thanks! Question - My wife has ideopathic gastroparesis. I've read Allithiamine is the B1 form which can help with gut motility issues, not Benthothiamine. However, most gastroparesis is tied to diebetes. My wife's is NOT caused by diebetes, but clearly there is some form of nerve damage that has caused her gut motility to slow. So, Benthothiamine can help with nerve damage (which might help her gut repair itself), but Allithiamine can help with gut motility issues. Which form do you think might be best for my wife? Yes, as the other comment said, definitely utilize berberine. Also ACV(apple Cider Vinegar) helps greatly and even better if you take tablespoon size shots of it along with tea (from packets that you brew) Green Tea and Black tea and make it a Super Drink by using fresh lemon & Lime squeezed into the Tea, add honey (local and least processed) and stir in some Ginger( from the powdered spice style) and that's the super drink. The best spice for Diabetic issues is Cinnamon. It is actually proven to help control Diabetic issues. Hope this helps. Good luck

Did you try vitamin B1 ? Success?
Supplementation with alpha lipoic acid is unfavorable in a thiamine deficiency; make sure that the vitamin B1 status is in order before using alpha lipoic acid. Alpha lipoic acid may lower vitamin B8 levels.
Neuropathy can also be the cause of vitamin B12 deficiency! The cause is a greasy substance called Meyeline that surrounds the nerves and serves as a protective layer. When this substance is reduced, symptoms appear.

B1 500mg - with 100mg magnesium
Pure - Therapro B12 drops 3 types cobalamin (Methyl, Hydroxo, Adenosol) 1000iu 2x daily
1mg Folic Acid - daily
50mg Zinc - daily
650mg Ferrous Sulfate
20,000iu D3
Not Dr. Recommended:
*Benfotiamine 300mg + L Leucine 40mg
All but the Benfotiamine are recommended by my PCP.
Godspeed Bob 🙏
I hope you get better ❤
that much zinc can deplete copper which you ar elikely already low in, copper also helps with iron absorption and may reduce or eliminate the nead for iron supplements if you're eating carnivore (with lots of red meat). folic acid can be problematic for some, look for methylfolate. other (methylated) b complex vitamins are also important (b2, niacin, etc.)

Definitely, this does work. I started mega dosing nearly 3 weeks ago, the difference is huge!

QUESTION: so if benfotiamine is fat soluble, then by taking a fat (coconut oil) with regular B1 thiamine, that should increase its soluability, correct? to get the regular B1 farther into the body system. anyone have proper info about this?
B vitamins are water soluble
yes i already know that; but apparently benf is far more effective form of B1 BECAUSE its fat soluble! hence my question! so could u answer my question pls and thnx. @@DrTomBiernacki
i hate avocado, i will try coconut oil. but thnx@@robertruge2916
@@Lauren-vd4qeHe did answer your question. B vitamins are not fat soluble so taking fat with them wont help. Benfotiamin is the exeption here, it binds with fats and get a free ride.
@Lauren-vd4qe He answered your question in the video. Vitamin B1Thiamine is water soluble (you take with water) Benfotiamine is fat soluble(this version you would take with fat)
Yeah right. I had to switch doctors because my GP wanted to put me on meds they knew I was alergic to.. So good by so long. I still see them yearly for regular check ups.
I been feeling horrible i told my doctor to test me for vitamin d and i was literally deficiency and imm the one who told them to test me. They are worthless
Me too I have to tell my doc to test me n I was deficient
B1 if so life changing for so many , every one needs to know about it
I think am low in b1 and have these symptoms but my docs never tell me if am low in this.
I have severe gut issues sibo what b1 to take thiamine or benfotiamine or tffd??? Plz help doctor 🙏
I've read that B1 is excellent for dysautonomia
It is it helped me with pots after covid
This is promising!
@@carmella88 I have that too… did u take thiamine or the benfetoiamine?
@@carmella88 and how much
@@Mamaohhh04 thiamine. I took. About 500mg for awhile. Now im about 200 mg.
Long term supplementation with a fat soluble vitamin should be done with caution as it is built up in the body in the long run. However low doses of BENFOTIAMINE occasionally after the initial high dosage will be a safe method. Always take this with a meal or fat for good results. Thank you for the great video.

Is it OK to take standard a B1 supplement *and* Benfotiamine or is it advisable to take one or the other? Alternate days for each? Thanks!
Elliott Overton, who has videos about this, says multiple forms are fine
@@kathysmathers512 Thank you!
but does it have to be taken forever if you have those issues?
I am watching this video three months after you produced it, but the link for your B one that you recommend says it’s not the correct link.
Can you develop a tolerance to it so constantly needing to put the dosage up?
Why does b1 injections stop over active bladder? And helps lower back pain.
This is messing me up . Like causing mental problems.
Sometimes my hands and feet turn bright red, and feel hot. Would this help?
Try magnesium and vitamin d3
I randomly found another video that said this can help with SIBO, I tried regular thiamine HCL tablets months ago and it didn't seem to have any effect, just starting the benfo variety, I did not know it was so strongly potent compared to the usual stuff. I get numb spots on my hands sometimes when its a bit cold, and my hands are really sensitive to hot water / heat on some days but not others, I have no idea why. My original disease was chronic fatigue syndrome and after 5 years I started to get new symptoms which eventually turned into something I could later recognize as SIBO.
did the benfo help?
@@chrisr.6638 yes, I can exercise and eat dairy now and play some types of video games that I haven't for a year. I take both, TTFD and benfo.
What is TTFD? @@ash0787

You say 20-80 micrograms but the slide has 20-80 milligrams. Which is correct?
isn't there a way to get benfotiamine that is not synthetic?
Yes..that’s called thiamine
I have pain from menopause does this help and how much can I take a day ?

The Amazon Geni link for B1/Benfotiamine isn’t working.
You did not mention brewers yeast tablets as a source of thiamine.
Or, a combination of both? Thanks!
Befotiamine is the same as Allithiamine
Wish this was answered.
does it help with people suffering from
insommia too?

You should follow recommended doses suggested by your doctor or by manufacturer's information included with package (bottle) of your vitamins.

The Amazon Benfotiamine link keeps kicking back. It appears this link or product is no longer available or Valid. What brand do you recommend?
Can either of these vitamins be used in treating or lessening the pain of postherpetic nueralgia after a shingles out break?
Did you try it? I am guessing from all of my recent research, absolutely it should help. I would definitely try it for that if I had that.
It would be great to know. My daughter had shingles at age 11 and has a chronic ache down that arm.
nice explaining .... thank you 😘😘
Hope you see my comment. Does Benfotiamine help with lowering A1C levels With a proper diet. I am pre-diabetic and my glucose and A1C varies a lot between blood tests. Very interesting video, right to the point and you have the voice that is easy to listen to. There are so many videos out there that you just want to cringe so you can't listen to the whole. Thank you!
Try berberine. Go low carb.
@@glumberty1 Thank you for seeing my post and responding.
Good luck

So is Benfotiamine better to take than B1 vitamins? Is it beneficial to take them both? 🤔
Benfotiamine is a synthetic addition to B1 that helps it absorb 100x better. This is specifically what is studied in the papers that I mentioned. It is otherwise low cost and relatively a safe option for most people.
@@DrTomBiernacki Just a comment, it would be good to include links to the studies you quote here.
Where are the links to testing kits? What type doctor does comprehensive testing?
The test most dr do for b1 are useless according to dr berg
