Because of Charle's declining health he accidentally killed mutants, even the X-Men. His brain is so strong it's like a bomb. Logan needed to take him far away from them so he couldn't hurt anyone else. And Logan is the only strongest that can take care of him. They made Laura from the blood dna of Logan. So she is his daughter. The bad guys were putting poison into various foods, like corn to suppress mutant powers and kill them as well. The adamantium inside Logan is killing him.
This was a great movie, and a bitter sweet end to Wolverines story. The actress that played Laura was freaking amazing, I hope to see her in more movies.
When Logan said: "So this is what it feels like" That was very heartbreaking 💔.
The woman in the 2013 wolverine movie said she seen Logan dying holding his heart in his hand and Logan died holding his daughter's hand. Also you should know James howlett is wolverine real with Logan being his father's name.
I'm becoming an old man. So this movie resonates. Still got the fight. Wolverine got claws. I got teeth. Guess I'm more Saber tooth. This flick make me cry yo.
And i must say.. as always.. i enjoy the fact that both of you are extremely sharp people. You easily make connections and intelligently catch plot points that 75% of reactors seem to miss. Its actually refreshing to see great minds retain the details and make smart predictions. Sooò many others eyes just seem to glaze over sometimes.lolol
Imo, one of the best super hero movies ever made. Btw, Hugh Jackman as 'Wolverine' is coming back (probably his last appearance as Logan) in ''Deadpool 3''.
His brother Sabertooth was originally going to be in this movie as well till they cut it from the movie. Remember when at the end he got the meds to use with a note? It said don't use it all from Victor.
I am part Cree Indian. All the women in my family also say "Mah" when shocked, or if something is silly. Just thought you'd find it interesting that its not just a Phillipines thing.
Even though this is a great end to Wolverine, you could imagine some scientist reviving Logan’s “dead” corpse somehow and also clone Logan could/is known to have his brain heal and revive with amnesia and basically restart the standard cycle.
Cool fact: Logan was the first superhero film to be nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Academy Awards.
I love the double meaning of "So this is what it feels like" because in the moment its both him learning how it feels to be a dad and also finally getting to discover how it feels to truly die and have peace in that eternal rest. He's probably wanted both for close to a century.
Before the world cried for Iron Man
I remember when I went to the movie theater to see this. At the end of the film, there was not a dry eye in the house. I shed it one tear on the part when Laura called Logan “daddy.“ I was good until that point. That kind of broke me.
This was my favorite x men movie and Wolverine is my favorite character. For a superhero movie this had a lot of heart.
I really feel like this, and the dark knight are two of the only times a superhero move transcended the genre to become a real legitimate film.
It isn't specifically stated in this movie but there is a team of mutants in Canada called "Alpha Flight" that are basically the Canadian equivalent of the X Men. In fact Logan was a member of Alpha Flight many years ago. I think that's who is offering to take in and protect the mutant kids. Thats just the theory that many fans had when this came out. It would have been awesome if a couple members of Alpha Flight made an appearance

In the last Wolverine Movie the Asian Girl told him he will die with his Heart in his Hand and it came true he held the Hand of his Daughter his Heart .
I'm sorry but the scene where Laura throws the pipe and knocks out Pierce is hilarious. It's a tense scene that is suddenly broken when Pierce is hit. And Logan wants to retaliate and hit Laura. And Charles kinda casually tries to introduce Laura to Logan. I crack up everytime I hear Laura's "AHHHHH!!!"
