    This was good, my only suggestion is that editing within VIM this was my 1st time, so slowing down whilst in the shell in general, but also elaborating how you are navigating through VIM would've been helpful as it was tricky to follow along.

      thanks for the feedback! you can use the graphical interface you dont really need vim :)

    do i need a splunk cert? Im currently studying to get a splunk pwer user cert, but i feel i don't need it. I feel i should just learn how to use splunk well enough, but not get certified. what do you think?

    • @UnixGuy
      @UnixGuy  5 місяців тому

      short answer yes you probably wont need it but I highly recommend you watch this video (all of it):

      Hey, it was not good but not bad, the told me it's better for me to apply for a NOC position bc I know network better than cybersecurity itself, what would you recommend? In case you think is better for me to continue with network, you have any certification for me to focus on?

    • @Sandris___
      @Sandris___ 5 місяців тому

      @@alejandrojoserosadepratt1689 I would follow my heart! Network experts somehow are rare gold - when everything works fine, no one needs us, but as soon as network falls apart - phone starts to get real hot! :D
      However, stick to the plan. Gain some sort of cybersecurity knowledge ( it doesn't mean you need certificate or education). To be successful in cybersecurity you need to be curious af. Break things, fix them and break them again, to get clear vision about situation.
      Good luck, friend!
